The "nice customer support person" told me I could go to Alaska to get it? WOW is all I have to say. I get that it was a clearance sale product, but if you advertise it, allow customer to purchase it, pay for it, you expect it to be shipped!!!

I also never saw a refund. Wasted my time and I still haven't gotten my money back. AVOID. Full story follows... Ordered a gun on August 17th. I live 2.5 hours' drive away from the store. Estimated pickup was August 25. I had a trip to Anchorage planned for early September so it seemed like that was fine. August 25th came and went with no update. On the 28th I contacted customer support and they said the gun had arrived but wasn't ready to be picked up yet. My trip to Anchorage came and went. While there I stopped by the store but they said I couldn't pick it up yet... OK... Fine. I don't know when I'll be back to Anchorage, but whatever. Finally I got a notice on September 4th (11 days later than advertised) that my gun was ready for pickup. Well now I couldn't get to Anchorage for a bit. Should be fine right? They delayed me so they should be able to handle a delay from my end. I can't make it to Anchorage on the regular. I went to Anchorage today October 4th, to finally get my gun. I had multiple emails (the last from September 29th) saying my gun was ready for pickup. I go into the store and they couldn't find it. Then they told me that the order had automatically been cancelled because I didn't pick it up in time. They said I should have been automatically refunded. I hadn't. I also hadn't received any notice about this. I got a little heated and they threatened to kick me out of the store. Fine. I calmed down. I asked if the gun was there today. They said it was. I asked if I could buy it at the same price that I ordered it for (I ordered it on sale). They said they could not honor that. I walked out. I just got home from Anchorage and I double-checked my credit card and I still have not received a refund. They will be getting a charge-back from me as they have essentially ROBBED me at this point beyond wasting my time and being completely unhelpful in any way whatsoever. THIS STORE HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED AND I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN.

If you are a fan then there's not a lot I can say that will give you new information, but that's not a bad thing. We needed to grab a jacket for my wife because, even though it was the middle of summer, we have lived in Las Vegas for several years now and AK summer is about the smae as the dead of winter in our new hometown. We were able to find her a jacket in the bargain cave to wear for our week there and probably won't wear much ever again. this made us grateful for the bargain cave price. The employees were very friendly and helpful and the whole asthetic was awesome, as always.

Michelle showed us an Instagram post from just 9 hours earlier and tipped us off about salmon fishing. She was incredibly knowledgeable and walked us through exactly what to do (I didn't totally follow but my husband did luckily). After already paying $$$$ for a guided fishing tour with no luck, we were honestly both excited and weren't sure if it's something we could do it on our own. But she was absolutely right!! We rented waders, fishing rods, and everything we needed right there, and followed her rod set up instruction and all the boys had an amazing time--ending up catching a large salmon (we could have caught more but we got to the river so late..) ! The rental process was easy and they had all the gear on hand. It was our first Alaskan trip and what could have been a pretty average trip turned into something unforgettable, thanks to Michelle and Dave. It ended up being an adrenaline-filled experience, and we'll definitely be coming back next year. Thank you Michelle and Dave!

We stopped in because we were both on the hunt for work boots and Carhartt's. Upon entry, an awesome table with fishing paraphernalia, which was great to see since I've been tying flies to get prepped for the season. No fly tying supplies, but plenty of quality gear in the store! The staff was super nice and quick to offer assistance! We were browsing but the moment we were in the footwear section, there was someone there to assist with sizes. Excellent selection of workwear for women, plenty of Carhartt's and Dovetail clothes with sizes from 0-24 that I was able to see. A helpful gentleman mentioned that if my size wasn't on the rack, they'd be happy to check a small supply in the back and also their downtown store. That's was great to know, since I forgot about the downtown location. They have a couple of dressing rooms for trying on items prior to purchase. Although we didn't find boots for my husband, I did pick up some Dovetail work pants and overalls that are not only functional, but attractive too. Everyday clothes men's, women & children...blue collar work clothing, high vis, sportsman wear, boots & shoes and a nice selection of fishing gear to boot! They offer a rewards program, birthday coupons and veteran's discount to boot! Big Ray's is definitely worth a stop!
