You can *instead* head down to Weirdo Wonderland and fill your space with whatever your dark little disturbing heart desires. This is a gem of a place and the stuff of dreams for sci-fi and vintage horror fans. Unusual and cheeky patches, posters, pins, paperbacks, gifts... and what I personally came to find: their print selection which is to die for! It is not too big, but what is lacks in size it MORE than makes up for in quirky. For the amount of stuff they have, they are super well organized and looks like a labor of love- even the ceiling tiles are decorated!! It's in Milford, so maybe 15mins from New Haven (or apparently 5min if you're a CT bred driver)- either way, definitely worth a visit!! They're also on instagram (which is a blessing since the website is kind of janky). It reminds me of Strange Ways in New Haven (one of the few independent stores with personality around these parts) and I only wish a portion of Weirdo Wonderland's selection was offered online, much like Strange Ways'. If anyone in your world is a Pokémon card collector, they'll enjoy checking out their packs and individual cards. Went to five below with my daughter and my daughter's best friend and my 2 service dogs. I told her sorry but he's barking because he's strapped in the stroller and wants me to pick him up. She said well he sounds vicious and we had an Incident where a dog attacked a costumer. I told her well my Yorkie is a service dog and he's in a stroller and theres no one in this isle. Who is he being vicious to? NO ONE. I told her I have certified service animals and I have their cards. I showed it to her and she says where did you get this online? I said excuse me this is a legal document from my doctor. And yes I snatched My cards from her. I yelled out for my kids and said let's go we are not wanted here because our dog. (That's strapped in a stroller) my daughter and her friend were upset because this is one of their favorite stores. I told them we'll go to target and go shopping. I have been In this store 5-6 times and no one has ever said anything to me.
