Loved the mustard, pickles with the melted cheese. Overall it was simple and hit the spot. The fries were cooked well and perfected not too much. And the staff were super friendly. This review is for the Der Wienerschnitzel on White Lane. My son and I stopped in for lunch during a workday. Before ordering, I asked to use the restroom and was given the key. Unfortunately, the bathroom was filthy, which should have been my first warning sign. After ordering our food, we sat down at a table and almost immediately saw a cockroach run across our table. A second cockroach ran across the floor nearby. I brought it to the attention of the young employee behind the counter, expecting some level of concern or urgency. What bothered me most wasn't just seeing the cockroaches--it was the response. I was told that it was basically an everyday occurrence and that we could move to another table if we didn't like it. At that point, we threw our food away and left without eating. We have never returned. I understand that restaurants can occasionally have issues, but treating visible cockroaches in the dining area as normal is unacceptable. The condition of the restroom, combined with the insects in the dining room and the indifferent response from staff, left us with no confidence in the cleanliness of the restaurant. As a result, we'll never return, and when friends, family, or coworkers ask about our experience, we'll be honest about what we saw and how the situation was handled. It is rare when we go to Wienerschnitzel. The last time we came here was probably last year sometime but my husband and I love their chili. My husband loves their chili cheese burgers. I love their chili cheese fries and their chili cheese hotdogs. Last night we decided to have them for dinner. Although Wienerschnitzel is considered fast food, it is not cheap. Our dinner did come out to $60, but I did have leftovers for today for my lunch, which I thought was delicious! Was craving a hot dog, and I had coupons for Wienerschnitzel. So I headed to this specific location to satisfy my tummy. Have driven by this branch hundreds of times over the years, but this was my very first time walking through their doors. Pleasantly surprised with how clean the restaurant was. It was also beautifully decorated with poinsettias all along the window ledges. Got me a couple of corn dogs, a couple of chili cheese dogs, and chili cheese fries. The chili cheese fries was not bad. The chili cheese hot dogs were okay too. The hot dogs themselves were kind of scrawny, and there was hardly any cheese. The corn dogs were probably my favorite part of the meal. Good deal for the meal thanks to the coupon. My hot dog craving was satisfied. I've been lots of places and eaten lots of types of foods, the best (so far Amsterdam-weirdly pizza) and the worst (Bath, England-pork pie) and yet I have a soft spot for the guilty pleasure of an occasional corn dog! I have to admit I also like a good kraut dog as well. There is just some wonderful magic in the combination of deep fried corn batter, sweet and slightly doughy along with the savory, salty hot dog. I bring my corn dogs home to meet up with some spicy brown mustard! County Fairs have made them a staple for generations so the fact they made into the fast-food industry should not be a surprise. I'm old enough to remember when there was still a "Der" in front of the Wienerschnitzel, however they haven't changed their corn dogs since I had my first one back in the early 70's. It's not the fanciest place around, the drive through is usually the best bet, service is fast and the prices are great. And while the bright red and yellow motif could certainly use some updating, outside the Fair (which runs a bare 3 weeks a year) your best bet for a good old fashioned corn dog is the little red roofed fast food joint that's still doing it right after all these years. read more

Really surprised that there is no indoor seating allowed at Wienerschnitzel with it being 108 degrees outside. As of the past few months I've been trying my very best to eat healthier than I usually have. I've made a good progress with switching out certain items that aren't good for me. But there are those times that you need a day to eat something bad. Well I chose Wienerschnitzel recently and it left me perplexed to say the least. I was contemplating just before lunch break at work as to what to eat. I wanted to eat something quick and cheap. My original intent was just some chili dogs cause I know they are 5 for $5. Low and behold as I approach the drive thru, I see an item that just made my mouth water, Pastrami Fries. I've seen other places do their rendition but it was not genuine, meaning keeping it like the sandwich. The fries at Wienerschnitzel are lacking oomph but they really come through with the cheese, mustard, pickles and more importantly the Pastrami. They really piled it on, gave me some gratification. I still ordered the chili dogs, ate two and gave the rest to my older son. The quality of the wiener seemed like the Bar-S brand and the bun leaned towards the Sunnyside brand. I wasn't too disappointed since I buy those brands at times but I was hoping for more. The chili wasn't bad, I should've added onions to give it some elevated flavor. The speed of service at the drive they is what to be expected, quick cause everything is made and kept warmed. I was satisfied with lunch but Wienerschnitzel should invest in creating a more quality hotdog, it is your branding. If you're feeling fatty and cheap, take chance on them. read more

I'd give zero star if I could. I really don't know how they do it but they mess up my order every time. I try my best to be polite and explain what was wrong giving them the benefit of the doubt but they are always so rude about it. Especially the short Mexican manager and trey they need to be seriously retrained or just let go. The store will be better with out them. I ordered the Cabo chili cheese fries and they forgot chili. Did this location recently change ownership or management? Have been eating here for years and the service was always pretty fast and the food was consistently good. Visited yesterday and things are definitely different. It appears that they have an entirely new staff and they are in the middle of repainting the interior seating area. They were playing hip hop music on the speakers. After placing our order, we waited for 20-25 minutes to get an order of 4 chili dogs and some fries. Although they were not that busy, I also noticed that other customers were waiting a long time to get their food, and some were having to go back up to the counter to ask about their order. Once we got our food, the fries were cold and the chili dogs were the biggest mess, the outside of each bun was covered in chili. We will probably not be back anytime soon. read more
