It's so vast, colorful, and inviting to kids of all ages. We have a toddler, and our nephew who is a similar age, was also with us. Sometimes playgrounds can be a little too high/advanced for their age, but All My Friends Playground has a wide selection of areas to play on, including lower and less intense obstacles. Tons of slides and swings, climbing gyms, merry go round, teeter totter, and more. Plus there is a massive (and wonderfully colorful) butterfly that spreads shade over the middle of the playground. Other great parts about this park: it's completely fenced in by a lovely pickets that are all engraved by local families. It keeps all the kiddos safe and contained. Also the squishy flooring is a huge plus. It's so comfy to run around on and makes for a safer place if anyone falls. Really love the creativity and fun that went into creating this new play area. The large dog area had a big open space for socializing and play. It also had some agility equipment, so if you want to train your dog on an apparatus, this is the place to do it. In the large dog area, there are also some trails to enjoy with beautiful wild flowers. After the dog park, we walked around the outer edge of the full park which was wooded and mostly dirt trails (some paved near the entrance). You need a park pass to enter and we bought a day pass for $7. It was a nice stop!

The playground is accessible so that means lots of stuff that even little able-bodied kids can do without help. The zip lines were a big hit, and I appreciated that I didn't have to lift anyone up like at say the Woodside school playground. Kids also liked the accessible merry-go-round which they described as being like the trains in Ba Sing Se (if your kids haven't watched The Legend of Korra, watch it with them). Otherwise the equipment is all newer designs that I haven't seen elsewhere, so it should be new and exciting for your kids. It can get crowded, especially when it's warm. It's outside, but no one was wearing masks during COVID-19, so be safe out there. There's also a combination tennis court/basketball court there, and an adjacent disc golf course in the Village Park proper. So definitely worth a stop if you're in the area with kids and need them to burn off some energy. It's one of the nicest I've seen in a long while, so if you're a connoisseur it might be worth a long detour.

We walk here often on weekend mornings, and enjoy a walk through the park, and a sit under the Magic Grove sculpture, by artist Nancy Metz White. There is a small playground here, a field house, and remnants of a time when parks were thriving. The Farmer's Market here is small, but nice. This is a nice neighborhood and a nice little park.

I've played kickball here in the past and the diamond is one of the nicer ones in the city. This park is a nice selling point if you are looking for a fun gathering space with plenty of activities for the kiddos. There is a lot of wide open green space, a community gathering center, clean restrooms, a playfield for softball/kickball, and they even manage to have a few concerts in the summer months!

Plus, a brand spanking new (2017) Landscape Structures branded, baseball themed, playground with rubber playing surface. I hadn't planned on going to this playground, heck, I had never heard of it before... But, our plans to head to the zoo got foiled by the massive lines from the free Senior day. So, I opened Yelp, searched for playground, and this beauty popped up. Yelp, you saved the day, yet again! The little kids side (2-5) is unique, but in a positive way. I feel like most little kids areas are the same basic=boring setup. It sorta reminded me of the old woman who lived in a shoe, with a sloped roofline and misshapen/unbalanced look. This area had ringing music notes, a track to run little cars/balls down, a crawling tube, a spinning giant glass marble, on top of the slides, climbing ladders, etc. Plus, there was a dedicated little kids swing set, with two toddler swings, two regular swings, and then the much loved yet hard to find toddler/parent combo swing!!! The big kids side includes a four seat seesaw, an accessible swaying "boat", multiple climbing walls, a standing gravity spinner, five slides, "concessions stand", a dedicated big kids swing set with accessible swing, and more. All of this included old shade trees, overlooked the diamond, and was a short walk from the bathrooms. Kudos to West Allis for installing a truly great and unique playground.

There is plenty of open space between the play areas for kids to run around, and the benches and picnic tables offer a chance to sit and share a snack or lunch. This is a great addition to the Glendale community, and as a resident, I'm looking forward to going more often to enjoy music, the beer garden, and, of course, more time with family.

Some scattered picnic tables serve as seating to watch the kiddos from afar but not quite enough especially if it's a busy day. Overall it's a fun park to visit and I would definitely recommend checking it out- bring sunscreen and maybe even a chair/blanket in case there isn't seating available.

It's an easy loop with plenty of benches along the trail. Trees, wildlife and a babbling brook make it just delightful. Schoen Laufen translates to Beautiful Walk, and that is exactly what this is.
