When we moved into the neighborhood 2 years ago, the park was nice but the playground was messy…read morebecause of a sand base and the equipment nothing to talk about. Last month West Allis remodeled the playground and now it has a rubber base, ropes course, handicapped swing, musical instruments, rock wall, and scavenger hunt for the little ones. The park also has a nearby splash pad, baseball diamonds, soccer field, basketball and tennis courts, and paved paths for runners, moms with strollers, and rollerbladers. In the winter, they create an ice rink on the courts as well. There is a building on the property that could use some updating - very 70's style, but it is available for parties or other events and with the great playground right there, it's perfect for reunions and showers. When I've been there, there has also been bathrooms open to the public (no more kids begging to pee and finding any bathrooms locked!). There is also a water bubbler outside on the east lower side of the building. This park is so beautiful now. There are picnic benches as well. It's a great family spot and I'm bragging to all of my friends with kids about our fantastic upgrades and encouraging them to come by!

It is well maintained. It's handicap accessible and has baby swings. I didn't find a parking lot, so I parked on a side street in a residential neighborhood. If you park on 92nd street, it's a hike to the amenities. The basketball courts are not regulation size and the net is really low. The backboard is also mounted directly to a steel pole so beware when dunking.

Rainbow park, times have changed. For those who did not know, let me tell you some history about…read morethat big hill you see. This place used to be landfill a long time ago and they filled the place up and now it's a park. As a little boy I used to come here a lot. It's a nice and quite little park. There's just a few swings and some sand to play in and of course, there is that kiddy pool for the summer. I probably pee'd in it, haha... Next to the soda machine used to be a pay phone, you know? The one that you put in one finger at a time and turned it in a circular motion. Ah, rotary phones were cool, not! Soda in that machine was 25 cents and they had a machine inside the building that made a cup of chicken broth soup, hot coco or, coffee. Yes, no Starbucks back then. In the summer you can expect to see men dressed up in uniforms playing baseball. You can also play tennis. They have two courts here. Hopefully the nets are new. The most fun is probably during the winter months when snow is on the hill. Take a sled, grease it down with left over lard from Christmas dinner and your in for a joy of a life time. As I said, the park is small, but it's cozy. Just because something is big, does not make it better. [Review #173]

Very lovely park with lots of nice trees, water, and so so many geese and ducks. There has been some construction there throughout 2026, but nothing too major or disruptive. Very quiet and peaceful.

There is frequently a food truck or two parked on the perimeter. I've visited a couple times and there are a lot of people during nice weather. There is definite need for available restrooms - there are a couple bathrooms, they were just locked (even though the signs said they were open). Luckily, we found 1 port-a-potty at the far edge of a baseball diamond. The pond also needs some love - there is quite a bit of smelly algae, and I imagine the dissolved oxygen levels are low due to high water temperatures, especially during the summer. Not sure how well the fish are doing, and it is HEAVILY fished. However, it was nice to see so many families enjoying the pond and I love seeing parents teach their kids how to fish. As an ecologist, it is sad to see Honey Creek is still confined to the concrete channel that runs through the park. But the ducks and geese seem pretty happy. A solid 3.5ish stars, will be back next time I'm in the area.

WOW! What a cool…read morepark area. Plenty of parking. Free. There is a nice easy paved trail, and if you are lucky enough, you may come across a deer eating some leaves. There is a pond or stream, there are flowers, birds, and all kinds of sights and nature to enjoy. If that is not your thing there are baseball fields, tennis / pickle ball courts, basketball courts, etc. Definitely a great place for some peace and quiet / solitude, or a date, or a family gathering. I can't believe how lucky we were to come across the deer and of course I did not have my camera with me because the rain was coming, so I only got some cell phone pics and video. The area around the park is nice too, so green and woodsy. If you are in the area, and want a nice park to try out then you should give it a chance.

As you can probably gather, it's a massive green space, with lots to enjoy! Great for families as they playground is very quality. There are paths/trails that wind around the pond and wooded areas. You'll find plenty of tennis courts (I still come to watch my dad play all the time), as well as baseball diamonds, a frisbee golf course, volleyball nets, and some hills in back that make great for sledding in the winter. The swimming pool is massive (open June-August), and offers both lessons and fun theme-nights. Truly something for everyone at this park! Not to mention, it is extremely well-kept. I love coming back here and can't wait to bring my son once it warms up outside.
