(From September 2021) In the Downtown of Wauwatosa is where this beautiful park lays. There's a playground and a circle trail leading to tennis courts, volleyball, picnic tables, and a track field. Venture further to the left side and you'll see the creek and open lawn space for picnics or letting your pet run wild. Lots of space to navigate and there's something for everyone here. Glad this was the first place I ventured too upon landing in the state of WI!

Every time I walk into Hart Park, I feel like I'm on vacation. Coming from and living most my life in Los Angeles, I can't say enough about how much nicer parks in Milwaukee are, in general; cleaner, maintained to a fault and just plain beautiful. Hart Park is definitely on the top of my favorite list. Living on the border of Tosa, it is SO nice to walk into Hart Park via the Oak Creek trail, and to follow the path along the Menominee River parkway. The path to and from the bridge, and the bridge over the River, itself, feels like it is miles away from civilization and on a forest's river pathway. I'm so surprised that the park isn't any busier. Perhaps everyone who grew up here or has lived in Milwaukee a long time just takes this beautiful oasis for granted. Seriously, if you haven't done so, take the time to check the park out and find some solace from the everyday grind of city living.

Little kids area.

tl;dr An all accessible/all inclusive uniquely themed playground that is definitely worth a special trip for. Just note that all of the slides are much steeper than usual, even on the little kids (ages 2-5) side. Note, this review is just for the playground. Sure, there are countless amenities here in this 19.5 acre park, like... 12 tennis courts, a softball diamond, 2 sand volleyball courts, an eight-lane running track, skate park, amphitheater, etc., but that's not why we come here. We come for the playground. Although this playground is already five years old, you'd never know it by looks. This is not your traditional playground, built with a natural theme kids balance on logs, climb up and through hollowed out trees, climb rocks, run through water in the small splash pad, and more. On top of the unique themed features, there are slides galore, climbing ropes, an "eagles nest" soaring high above the ground, and more. The little kids and big kids sections are divided by the splash pad, which does a good job at keeping kids seperated and safe. Oh, better yet, there is a park pavilion with bathrooms directly behind the playground, just a few steps away. And... they are surprisingly clean! There are just really two things that keep this from being a five star park. One, is lack of shade. The park grounds are relatively new in landscape, so the few trees that exist are not mature enough to provide adequate shade. Second, the slides are just wayyy steeper than usual, even on the side dedicated for little kids. As a kid, this must be amazing, but as an adult watching over their 18 month old, it is a nightmare waiting to happen.

This park is great for pretty much anyone. It's across the street from Leff's Lucky Town, so you can get an adult beverage if you wish. Trains frequently go by which is a unique feature. I enjoy the running events at Hart Park with my 2 dogs. A huge bonus is it has a big parking lot.

There's crack and prostitution everywhere, perfect place to get away. The only reason I didn't give it six stars is because it's built on ancient Indian burial grounds.

Gorgeous park! Right near the Honey Creek Parkway and Downtown Tosa, so there's lots of space to walk. The playground is brand new, but its a little big for smaller kids. There is a small splash pad that my toddler loved. Bathrooms near the playground are brand new and very clean. If your kid loves trains, Hart Park is perfect for you - the tracks run right past the playground (separated by a fence, obviously!) for excellent train viewing!

One of the best playgrounds in the area!

Amazing playgrounds, open spaces and a little splash pad make this park hard to beat on a summer day.

WOW! What a cool…read morepark area. Plenty of parking. Free. There is a nice easy paved trail, and if you are lucky enough, you may come across a deer eating some leaves. There is a pond or stream, there are flowers, birds, and all kinds of sights and nature to enjoy. If that is not your thing there are baseball fields, tennis / pickle ball courts, basketball courts, etc. Definitely a great place for some peace and quiet / solitude, or a date, or a family gathering. I can't believe how lucky we were to come across the deer and of course I did not have my camera with me because the rain was coming, so I only got some cell phone pics and video. The area around the park is nice too, so green and woodsy. If you are in the area, and want a nice park to try out then you should give it a chance.

You'll find plenty of tennis courts (I still come to watch my dad play all the time), as well as baseball diamonds, a frisbee golf course, volleyball nets, and some hills in back that make great for sledding in the winter. The swimming pool is massive (open June-August), and offers both lessons and fun theme-nights. Truly something for everyone at this park! Not to mention, it is extremely well-kept. I love coming back here and can't wait to bring my son once it warms up outside.

This time I came to test out the full expanse of the water with my paddle board. I came with my brother who had his kayak and fished. He caught a rainbow trout (and released). We stayed on the water for almost 4 hours - the water was nice and clean and it was busy but not crazy. The beach area was definitely a popular busy zone but most the people were in the designated swimming area versus the open lake. Just a great time and will be back! If looking to grab a spot on the dry land I would recommend arriving before 11am- that's when it started filling up more.

Fox Brook has a swimming pond area, a pavilion for the beer garden and a rentable pavilion at Picnic Area 1. I rented out the pavilion for 30+ guests and it has plenty of space, can hold Up to 200. It also has a volleyball net and a cut little loop on the prairie. Lots of migrating birds in the spring! The reservation comes with a fee of course which you can reserve online. There is a $7 fee to enter the park as well and can also be done online. There's a paved trail that loops the swimmable Pond shared with bikers. It's a peaceful place to walk your dog, or by yourself or with friends/family/significant other. There is also a few offshoot unpaved trails that cuts into the trees for a short while to walk along the trees. Pretty decent if you're looking to take a quick walk and enjoy nature or have a meetup and enjoy some beer at the beer garden.

This place used to be landfill a long time ago and they filled the place up and now it's a park. As a little boy I used to come here a lot. It's a nice and quite little park. There's just a few swings and some sand to play in and of course, there is that kiddy pool for the summer. I probably pee'd in it, haha... Next to the soda machine used to be a pay phone, you know? The one that you put in one finger at a time and turned it in a circular motion. Ah, rotary phones were cool, not! Soda in that machine was 25 cents and they had a machine inside the building that made a cup of chicken broth soup, hot coco or, coffee. Yes, no Starbucks back then. In the summer you can expect to see men dressed up in uniforms playing baseball. You can also play tennis. They have two courts here. Hopefully the nets are new. The most fun is probably during the winter months when snow is on the hill. Take a sled, grease it down with left over lard from Christmas dinner and your in for a joy of a life time. As I said, the park is small, but it's cozy. Just because something is big, does not make it better. [Review #173]

There is a building on the property that could use some updating - very 70's style, but it is available for parties or other events and with the great playground right there, it's perfect for reunions and showers. When I've been there, there has also been bathrooms open to the public (no more kids begging to pee and finding any bathrooms locked!). There is also a water bubbler outside on the east lower side of the building. This park is so beautiful now. There are picnic benches as well. I hadn't planned on going to this playground, heck, I had never heard of it before... But, our plans to head to the zoo got foiled by the massive lines from the free Senior day. So, I opened Yelp, searched for playground, and this beauty popped up. Yelp, you saved the day, yet again! The little kids side (2-5) is unique, but in a positive way. I feel like most little kids areas are the same basic=boring setup. It sorta reminded me of the old woman who lived in a shoe, with a sloped roofline and misshapen/unbalanced look. This area had ringing music notes, a track to run little cars/balls down, a crawling tube, a spinning giant glass marble, on top of the slides, climbing ladders, etc. Plus, there was a dedicated little kids swing set, with two toddler swings, two regular swings, and then the much loved yet hard to find toddler/parent combo swing!!! The big kids side includes a four seat seesaw, an accessible swaying "boat", multiple climbing walls, a standing gravity spinner, five slides, "concessions stand", a dedicated big kids swing set with accessible swing, and more. All of this included old shade trees, overlooked the diamond, and was a short walk from the bathrooms. Kudos to West Allis for installing a truly great and unique playground.
