Lovely park! Very refreshing being able to walk along the trails. I haven't walked the whole thing yet but plan to as it looks like there as some amazing views. Menomonee River is right next door too! The playground is cute and there's lovely informational signs near the playground and some science facts incorporated into the playground activities, definitely recommend for those kids who are science and nature lovers!

What a great park! It is located along the Menomonee River Parkway and easy to find. There is a playground area, plentiful street parking, walking trails, a small pond, and well maintained green space with areas of natural vegetation. It is a great spot for a picnic, relaxing in the sunshine, dog walking, letting the kids play, practing photography, and more. My pup Roxy and I were not able to explore the whole park, which connects to other parks via the Menomonee Line of the Oak Leaf Trail. However, we did enjoy our evening walk during our September visit and saw many other families, runners, and dog walkers - all being diligent in social distancing and masking up. I definitely would not mind driving across town to return to this park for more nature time :)

We visited this park after passing it earlier in the week on a run. What a city gem! This park is packed with unique amenities for visitors across all generations. An unexpected highlight was the meditation circle or a labyrinth. There is a chess table and public workout "machines" too. There is even a free little library on the property. This is a fun place to checkout but, not ideal for longer runs. The park is across the street from Menomonee River Parkway and is dog-friendly. Can't wait to see it in the warmer months when the vegetation is in full bloom!

Oh my goodness the nostalgia is REAL at Elm Grove Park. This is where I grew up, took swimming…read morelessons, attended "safety town," played in soccer tournaments, learned to ride my bike, and ran wild as a pre-teen. As you can probably gather, it's a massive green space, with lots to enjoy! Great for families as they playground is very quality. There are paths/trails that wind around the pond and wooded areas. You'll find plenty of tennis courts (I still come to watch my dad play all the time), as well as baseball diamonds, a frisbee golf course, volleyball nets, and some hills in back that make great for sledding in the winter. The swimming pool is massive (open June-August), and offers both lessons and fun theme-nights. Truly something for everyone at this park! Not to mention, it is extremely well-kept. I love coming back here and can't wait to bring my son once it warms up outside.

WOW! What a cool…read morepark area. Plenty of parking. Free. There is a nice easy paved trail, and if you are lucky enough, you may come across a deer eating some leaves. There is a pond or stream, there are flowers, birds, and all kinds of sights and nature to enjoy. If that is not your thing there are baseball fields, tennis / pickle ball courts, basketball courts, etc. Definitely a great place for some peace and quiet / solitude, or a date, or a family gathering. I can't believe how lucky we were to come across the deer and of course I did not have my camera with me because the rain was coming, so I only got some cell phone pics and video. The area around the park is nice too, so green and woodsy. If you are in the area, and want a nice park to try out then you should give it a chance.

Rainbow park, times have changed. For those who did not know, let me tell you some history about…read morethat big hill you see. This place used to be landfill a long time ago and they filled the place up and now it's a park. As a little boy I used to come here a lot. It's a nice and quite little park. There's just a few swings and some sand to play in and of course, there is that kiddy pool for the summer. I probably pee'd in it, haha... Next to the soda machine used to be a pay phone, you know? The one that you put in one finger at a time and turned it in a circular motion. Ah, rotary phones were cool, not! Soda in that machine was 25 cents and they had a machine inside the building that made a cup of chicken broth soup, hot coco or, coffee. Yes, no Starbucks back then. In the summer you can expect to see men dressed up in uniforms playing baseball. You can also play tennis. They have two courts here. Hopefully the nets are new. The most fun is probably during the winter months when snow is on the hill. Take a sled, grease it down with left over lard from Christmas dinner and your in for a joy of a life time. As I said, the park is small, but it's cozy. Just because something is big, does not make it better. [Review #173]

Plus, a brand spanking new (2017) Landscape Structures branded, baseball themed, playground with rubber playing surface. I hadn't planned on going to this playground, heck, I had never heard of it before... But, our plans to head to the zoo got foiled by the massive lines from the free Senior day. So, I opened Yelp, searched for playground, and this beauty popped up. Yelp, you saved the day, yet again! The little kids side (2-5) is unique, but in a positive way. I feel like most little kids areas are the same basic=boring setup. It sorta reminded me of the old woman who lived in a shoe, with a sloped roofline and misshapen/unbalanced look. This area had ringing music notes, a track to run little cars/balls down, a crawling tube, a spinning giant glass marble, on top of the slides, climbing ladders, etc. Plus, there was a dedicated little kids swing set, with two toddler swings, two regular swings, and then the much loved yet hard to find toddler/parent combo swing!!! The big kids side includes a four seat seesaw, an accessible swaying "boat", multiple climbing walls, a standing gravity spinner, five slides, "concessions stand", a dedicated big kids swing set with accessible swing, and more. All of this included old shade trees, overlooked the diamond, and was a short walk from the bathrooms. Kudos to West Allis for installing a truly great and unique playground.
