We got in sooner than their initial estimate, but the work took longer than the week they suggested. They had to fix things then paint, and it all looked to match perfectly. However, we noticed that weekend (once my husband had a passenger) that the front passenger door was hanging low and didn't match the line of the trim. We called to see what could have caused this since we didn't see this issue before we brought it in and the accident damaged the left driver side. We were told by the shop that it was that way when we brought it in. First off, NO. We even have a few pictures before we brought it in and that was not the case. As we didn't trust what they were saying, we took it to another body shop to get an estimate to fix this issue. Within a matter of minutes, they found that the bracket on the frame that holds the door shut wasn't screwed all the way in. They surmised that someone may have taken things apart on both sides to line things up when reassembling and perhaps didn't remember to screw that part in. They fixed it on the spot for no charge.

The shop that maintains my car, Ray's OK Service, recommended I go to Quinn Auto Body. "You'll love them!" they said. They were right! Quinn's is a family-owned, multi-generational business owned by father-son duo Pat and Tim Quinn. The unassuming shop a block or so behind the VA hospital complex on National Avenue is home to some exceptional detail and great service. I dealt with Tim at the beginning stages of getting my car fixed. He carefully wrote up an estimate for me and I was off to the claims adjuster. I was glad I visited Quinn first. I felt their estimate was thorough and fair, and I felt the claims adjuster was not fairly representing my interest in getting my 8 year-old car repaired. The documentation was good leverage in dealing with the insurance company and making sure my interests were represented. It took a week for my car to get fixed, a little bit past the three days we anticipated. Part of the problem occurred when a parts supplier shipped a hood that had to be rejected because it did not meet Quinn's quality standards. Quinn made good on a delay that I don't think was their fault. They provided me with a loaner car free of charge so I could get to where I needed to go. I felt well taken care of. When I returned after my car was finished, I was delighted. There was my car, looking shiny, polished and spiffed up like it had taken a trip to the spa. It was clean, spiffed up in the interior, all back together and fixed. I was happy to get the payment settled and drive home in my beloved car. The father, Pat worked with me at the end of the transaction. He was a delightful businessman. He told me with pride how the beautiful 1964 Corvair convertible in his showroom was built the year he graduated from high school, and told stories about the vintage bright orange Allis-Chalmers tractor, stored in the shop, that meant a lot to him as a West Allis native. As I contrasted this experience in my mind with the plain vanilla facade and interior of the insurance-recommended shop I was really happy with my decision. I would refer Quinn Auto Body to anyone who wants quality workmanship and attention to detail. I am pleased and delighted with the work they did on my car.
