Took my iPhone in for a screen replacement and when I got it back the entire phone was getting very hot. Called the owner to schedule a repair under warranty and he then advised that he replaced the screen with a LCD, not OLED screen. Despite never disclosing this, he said I would have to deal with the extra heat and tough luck. When I tried to explain that I never would have wanted a LED screen, he started screening on the phone "Don't tell me how to run my business, I'll push this red button on my iPhone and hang up on you." Needless to say, I should have known better because this is a very low quality shop and you get what you pay for. I'd say be careful before doing business here, but when you walk into his little hole in the wall shop which is very rundown, you'll immediately understand what level of businessman you're working with. read more

Paid $300 to have the screen replaced on my iPhone because it was badly cracked. After getting the screen replaced the new one started flashing when I would open the phone. Brought the phone back hoping the "new" screen would be switched out but nope! Was told this was normal lol. A quick Google search confirms this is a common problem with LEMON screens so clearly it was just a bad part that he didn't feel like replacing. Would NOT recommend! Very professional, Trustworthy and friendly! One of my worst nightmares came true when I dropped my phone in the pool! To make matters worse shoved it into a back brace to try piece of race gets stuck in the charging port and stopped my cord from going in. I was in panic mode until I called George at whoops I fix. He told me to bring the phone in he would take a look. All day every day but I might need to replace it with a new one but thanks to George! That wasn't necessary. Nice guy until my glass broke 2 weeks after he replaced my Apple glass with cheap garbage. I dropped my XR hundreds of times. Never broke until about a month ago when I dropped it without my case on it while cleaning it. This guy replaces the glass for like $120. I dropped it off my nightstand...with the case on it. About a 2 ft drop. Cracked from corner to corner. I asked him what sort of glass he uses. What brand...what is it? He responded with "glass" that's what it is.... "You want plastic you can get plastic" This is CHEAP OFF-BRAND GARBAGE GLASS. Then he said he's been in his location for 7 years...when he first incorporated this business on May 10, 2018. Almost exactly 4 years ago. So I got to looking...turns out he just keeps changing business names. Anyway...If he had been a decent guy and at least offered me some better brand of glass or even divulged the junk he uses so I could avoid it in the future or maybe even half the cost of another glass since he used garbage glass, he may have made more money off of me. Instead...it's adios MF! ETA: when I called him I said I didn't even hardly drop it. And second I was nice when I called but since he let me know that Glass is glass and glass breaks that's when I got angry because no iPhone glass breaks very easily. This is crappy off-brand thin glass. Your narrative of what is true is really interesting. And actually, I have a really thick case on my phone... And my floors are made of luxury vinyl plank in my bedroom. Not tile. There is no reason this phone should've broken. I bought a used iPhone 7 from Verizon online. It got so hot the first time I turned it on, it literally turned itself off. After twice contacting a tech on Verizon.com and going to a Verizon store, I realized all I would get from them is the classic runaround, and I was just not up for a fight. In the meantime, my phone was getting worse and starting to crash, could no longer take pics, lost the GPS, couldn't play games, the works. So, moving on, somehow I found George and thank goodness I did. He was so professional and is just a super nice person and a pleasure to work with. He explained it could be one of two things, one being fatal, and the other a failing battery, so I agreed to try the battery option for a very reasonable price. I would like to warn other consumers to take your business else where. My experience with George Johnson was terrible he was shady and rude!!!! When I first called to get my iPhone 6s screen repaired he quoted me $145 which is $5 less then fast fix in the mall who I usually use but I needed my phone fixed while I was at work and decided to use them a decision I terribly regret. Once I arrived there he told me it would be $175 an additional $30 since the LCD was broken explaining the part was different. I checked with fast fix in the mall and he said it would still be the same price wether LCD is broken or not because it is in fact only one piece. I told George what the man at fast fix said and he insisted he was mistaken. after making a few calls back and fourth explaining the situation to both parties (about the LCD being broken) fast fix still said it would all be one part and they would only charge $150 wether LCD was broken or not. My phone was already with George at mobile tech so I decided to pay the $175 because he was insistent on the price. I also purchased a tempered glass screen. As soon as I got my phone back their was a glitch and parts of the keyboard were not working. I brought it back to George and he agreed to replace the screen after putting me on the phone with his warranty company. He would not give me a new tempered glass screen because he would "lose out of a screen from his inventory" after having to explain to him that all I wanted from this experience was a fixed screen and a tempered glass screen that I paid for. He refused to give me a new tempered glass but decided he would "Do me a favor" and move the old one over. To the screen he was also giving to me as a "favor" ( even though he was fixing a job he did improperly) Really had no choice but to accept after arguing with him he finally handed my phone back with a new screen and their was a new problem! Another part of the LCD is showing a line through my screen. I tried to show it to him and he insisted he didn't see anything! I walked out to show my sister in the car and she agreed there is a line through the screen. When I walked back in to just tell him im done with this whole thing and very unhappy he replied "I'm not gonna deal with your attitude young lady" I am so unhappy I just signed a receipt and left.
