Laura Jayne H.

After having my 2nd baby I thought breastfeeding was going to be a breeze. I nursed my 1st for 2 years no problem. Little did I know my 2nd had a lip and tongue tie that the hospital did not catch. In fact I was reassured by the nurse and lactation specialist at the hospital that my son did not have any ties. I came home and was in so much pain breastfeeding, bleeding and chapped nipples. I was so confused trying to remember if I went through this with my 1st. This is when Maggie came to the rescue! Not only did she catch his lip and tongue tie immediately but suggested I get a second and 3rd opinion and sure enough the pediatric dentist and my chiropractor who specializes in pregnancy and babies all confirmed the lip and tongue tie. This was why I was bleeding while nursing and in so much pain. If it wasn't for Maggie I don't think I would have ever known. We were able to get his lip and tongue tie released within the 1st 2 weeks of birth. My son recovered very fast and Maggie even came between dentist and dr appts to make sure he was healing properly and there was no reattachment with the ties. She went over the exercises again with me and my husband. Turns out that even being an experienced nursing mama it's always good to get help when you have a newborn. I would have never known about my son's lip and tongue tie. We are now 4 months into our breastfeeding journey. 0 pain and my son is a healthy almost 17 lb baby Maggie has been so amazing. Very knowledgeable and answers all my questions even 4 months later. I wish I had this kind of support when I had my 1st but I'm so thankful I found Maggie with my 2nd and any future babies we have.

If you're looking for the best midwives out there, Andrea and Maggie are it! These two provide truly wholistic care from the 1st day you meet them! They are incredibly knowledgeable, caring, supportive, and funny too! By the end of our journey together, they really felt like family! My husband and I originally started visiting midwives in the hopes of doing another birth center birth, like we did with our first kiddo. Homebirth was something I always wanted and thought about doing, but I had some fear, and my husband was even more fearful and unsure. Andrea and Maggie completely got us on board the first day we met them. They thoroughly explained everything to my husband and I and went over what would be done in different emergency scenarios. By the end of our initial visit, which was filled with laughter, we felt like Andrea and Maggie were friends we had known for a long time. We both knew immediately that we wanted them to be our midwives! Prenatal visits were something I looked forward to! I loved my hour with them, and so did my 2 year old, who was able to go to all of my appointments. They even have a play area that she adored. They also got her involved with using the doppler to listen to her baby sisters heartbeat and gave her some snacks here and there. Needless to say, my 2 year old was a huge fan as well. I did dual care and still saw an OB, and let me tell you, the care is night and day! 15 minutes with an OB just doesn't even come close to your hour with Andrea and Maggie. You feel loved, you feel supported, you feel heard. You leave every visit feeling good and feeling more prepared for your labor and delivery. My homebirth was amazing! I'm so happy I was able to do it, and I cried tears of joy when I held my baby for the first time. I felt joy that she was here, but also all I could think, was "WOW! I DID IT!" I was so proud of myself. I birthed my baby at home, in my own space, surrounded by the people I loved the most! And I have Andrea and Maggie to thank for that! My 2 year old was able to climb into the water (I did a water birth), right after her sister came earthside and met her new sibling. She was so happy and it made my heart so full! It was exactly as I had imagined it. The amazing care continues postpartum and beyond. They made sure to stress how important it was for me to rest and recover (even though I didn't quite listen, but that's another story lol) and they support you with all things postpartum and with your breastfeeding journey. Just know they are there to answer your calls and help with any concerns or questions, and always have your best interest in mind. They were also very thorough with my assessing my baby girl and even found she had a tounge tie. They taught me how to do stretches with her to help and gave us the option of having it released if that's what we wanted. I could go on and on about Andrea and Maggie, but you just have to meet them yourselves! Trust me, you won't regret it! They are truly incredible midwives!

walked into the birth center in November last year, still angry and in denial that I was pregnant, but was greeted by Andrea and Maggie. I wasn't one of those women that had always dreamed of an unmedicated birth. But after my conversation with Andrea and Maggie, a natural, unmedicated, out of hospital birth was all I wanted because they gave me the encouragement and empowerment to believe in myself. So there we were beginning the journey to a birth where I was encouraged to trust Gods perfect plan and design of my body to carry and birth a baby. Andrea spent hours massaging my back to help ease the intensity. She intuitively helped us make the decision to have a home birth even though that was never the plan. She gave me confidence to believe in myself and my decision. She let me know that I was loved and supported no matter what, but mostly reminded me that I could do it. She loved me and encouraged me to trust Jesus and press into His truths when fear started to take over. Maggie didn't get to be at Jacks birth, but it was a joy watching her learn and pursue becoming a midwife. Her knowledge and ability to always answer my questions made me feel safe and heard. She was always so warm and inviting and her personality was everything I needed in so many moments throughout pregnancy. She taught me so much about my body. It was the hardest, yet most beautiful thing I have ever done and I never could've done it without them. I will forever have a special love for them. Thank you Jesus for my midwives.

I'm not usually someone who leaves reviews, but this practice has been great. I originally came…read morehere after finding out my previous gynecologist didn't deal with pregnancies, and I'm so glad I made the switch. The office has four female doctors and a nurse practitioner, and everyone I've interacted with has been professional. One of my favorite features is their patient portal--it makes communicating with your doctor quick and easy, and I always receive timely responses. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately, my overall experience was disappointing, and I will not be returning. From the beginning, the front office experience was mediocre. The receptionists often seemed rushed and gave very little attention to patients. On a couple of occasions, I was not even checked in properly when I arrived for my appointment. Throughout my pregnancy, I also noticed that the quality of care varied significantly depending on the provider. Some providers were much more compassionate, attentive, and reassuring than others, which made the experience feel inconsistent. That being said, I am very grateful that Dr. Grace Lee was the physician who delivered my baby. She was phenomenal--caring, compassionate, attentive, and reassuring. She made me feel safe during delivery, and I truly appreciated the way she cared for me during such a vulnerable and important moment. Unfortunately, my postpartum experience was where I felt the office fell short the most. I developed mastitis twice, and on both occasions, I was diagnosed over the phone. I was told there were no openings to see me, even though I was experiencing significant pain and what I considered an urgent medical issue. Instead, I was referred to the on-call doctor and given a prescription. I found this extremely frustrating. As a patient experiencing a painful postpartum complication, I expected to be evaluated in person when necessary. I questioned how my condition could be properly assessed over the phone without a clinical examination. Overall, there were simply too many inconsistencies in the care and level of compassion I received. At times, I felt like the office was too busy to truly listen or care when I was actually in pain and needed support. While I had an excellent experience with Dr. Grace Lee during delivery, the overall experience with the practice did not meet my expectations. I hope the office takes this feedback seriously, especially when it comes to postpartum care and making patients feel heard, supported, and cared for when they are most vulnerable.

The care throughout my pregnancy was unmatched because each appointment whether it was 30 minutes or over an hour was with Robyn! That means I really got to know her as a person, as a mom, and as a professional. I got to create a real relationship with the person who was going to help me deliver my baby. Robyn is so knowledgeable and has a way of making you feel good and confident in every decision you make. During my birth at home, she really let me guide and choose what I wanted every step of the way. It was so refreshing after three births in a hospital. She also had such a calming presence and during my really bad contractions would whisper affirmations and tell me to breathe my baby down. It was so helpful in those moments. My favorite part of using her is the access of care at all times. Whenever I had a question or concern I was able to text her and get help. Even after my son was born she is there for me. One month after birth I got a hemorrhoid and she squeezed me in to check me out immediately. Speaking with her is like therapy for me. Her passion for empowering women and choice is intoxicating. I honestly can't rave enough about the work she does and how good it felt to have someone like this supporting me for the past year.

I watched "the business of giving birth" (2008 documentary) a decade ago and this was the start of potentially being open to this option (midwife/birth center/home birth). (Highly recommend this documentary, wish there were more!!!) Robyn is phenomenal. She is an expert. She knows what she's doing and is an excellent midwife and human. What a blessing My experience was her being extremely responsive and supportive. Ask ALL the questions!!! Sometimes we don't know what all to ask which is okay too, she informs you on so much. Especially home aftercare. Regardless of what decision one makes on giving birth it's a magical and empowering one. Sending health and happiness to all mothers and expecting mothers. If anyone has questions I'd love to be an advocate for this hospital alternative so please send a message.

She was always quick to respond, answered all of my questions, and was really informative throughout the whole process. She made everything feel so easy and stress-free. Even being a holiday weekend, dropping off my placenta was super easy and convenient, which I really appreciated, especially with a newborn and everything that comes along with those first few days postpartum. I personally felt like the pills really helped me with both my energy and my mood during those early postpartum weeks. I felt like I had a little more energy to get through the long days and nights, and I noticed a positive difference in my overall mood as well. I know everyone's experience is different, but for me, I'm really happy I chose to do it! From the beginning, I loved that they focused on natural options, education, and helping me feel confident and informed throughout my pregnancy. When it was finally time to give birth, I KNEW I could do it without one...and I did! ‍ The entire staff was amazing, supportive, and genuinely cared about me and my baby. They do have stricter requirements than a hospital, but I came to understand that it's because they want to make sure every mom is in the safest position possible to receive the best care. I'm so grateful for the experience, the education, the support, and especially for getting the birth experience I always prayed for. Thank you for helping bring my baby into the world in such a beautiful and empowering way!

Mary's prenatal yoga classes are incredibly calming and create such a beautiful sense of community. You meet wonderful moms and moms-to-be, and Mary has a gift for transporting you into a place of peace and relaxation during a time that can feel overwhelming and uncertain. Her prenatal doula appointments are never rushed and provide invaluable education, guidance, and preparation for birth. Throughout my pregnancy, I was able to text Mary with questions, concerns, and fears, and her insight and support were always incredibly valuable. When it came time to give birth, Mary was truly indispensable. She started as a calming presence during contractions, helping distract me from the intensity, keeping me focused, and providing constant encouragement. During pushing, she guided me through different positions and became my biggest cheerleader. After 4 1/2 hours of pushing, I had reached a point where I felt completely defeated and ready to give up. Mary never let me lose faith in myself and helped me find the strength to keep going. I truly believe that without her support, my birth experience would have looked very different and likely involved more interventions. Her care didn't stop after delivery. During postpartum visits, she arrived with delicious homemade goodies, checked in on my recovery, and continued to provide reassurance and guidance when I needed it most. Mary is a wealth of knowledge, compassion, and support during one of the most transformative, vulnerable, and sometimes scary experiences of your life. From the moment we connected, Mary's depth of knowledge, warmth, and intuition put me at ease. She met with my partner and me before delivery, spending hours walking us through what to expect, how to prepare my body, and how my partner could actively support my experience. No question was too small, and she answered my endless stream of inquiries with patience, wisdom, and zero judgment. When it came time to labor, Mary was by my side every step of the way. Even though my birth was not what we planned, Mary advocated for me and created a calm and sacred space with soothing massages, body oils, and sound bowls. When I think back to my labor and birth story, I literally see her face... she practically labored WITH me through her hands on support, coaching, encouragement, guidance, and unwavering empowerment. It carried me through. And her care didn't stop there. Postpartum, Mary showed up at my home with a bundle of thoughtful recovery goodies. She not only provided a healing full-body massage and prepared a soothing sitz bath, but she also cleaned my (very messy) postpartum bathroom--without hesitation or judgment. Her level of care, both physically and emotionally, is unparalleled. Mary was truly a godsend during my first pregnancy, and I will undoubtedly hire her again for every one of my future births!
