In the birth tub! Thanks Brenna for capturing this moment.
    Jessie R.

I can't say enough amazing things about Rachel and Brenna and the facility. For the first 2/3rds of my (first) pregnancy I was receiving care from an OBGYN (mainly because my husband was most comfortable going the standard hospital route thinking that was the "safest"), but I knew I wanted to avoid it after hearing horror stories from mom friends and my own family. I'm so grateful that at week 33, I searched and found SVBC and when I spoke to Rachel over the phone I had so much relief and peace. My husband and I met with Rachel and toured the facility, and she was so professional and knowledgeable that even my husband was convinced it was the way to go (also knowing that the nearest hospital was only 5 minutes away in case of an emergency). As for the labor experience itself, I didn't know what to expect as this was my first, but I always felt I was in the best possible hands and confident that I would be able to give birth naturally. The only intervention we ended up consenting to was breaking the water a few hours in (after what seemed like a stalling period), which in hindsight I probably would've preferred to wait and try other tactics but I was running on fumes at that point and was concerned about not having the energy to make it through to the end). Anyway, after that, Brenna probably spent 2+ hours "sifting" the baby as she wasn't in perfect alignment. After her magic touch, I felt the urge to push! Thanks to Rachel's amazing coaching (and Brenna's and my husband's haha), I was able to push Baby Rio out in a little over an hour. Honestly, I don't know why anyone would give birth at a hospital unless they absolutely had to. Most women can give birth naturally and if you have a team like Rachel and Brenna the odds are in your favor ! (Augustina, the other assistant who was preparing to take her exams, also seems awesome, but I only met her for one of the visits.) What a blessing this place is!!

I gave birth to my second baby here. This Birth Center is a comfortable environment that really makes you feel like home. I almost didn't want to leave after giving birth.. (lol). Rachel and Brenna were a great support system throughout my pregnancy. They were supportive of my birth choices. Rachel is so knowledgeable. She seems to always have an answer to anything you ask, seriously ! She knows what she is doing. This is why I chose her as a Midwife to begin with along with her welcoming personality. Brenna is such a sweet person. She really made me feel held during my labor and birth. Her encouraging words while I was moving through my contractions and pushing out my baby were very empowering. She was also gentle and informative throughout my visits. Giving birth here allowed me to see my natural potential to listen to my body and birth with ease. I knew I could depend on Brenna and Rachel if I needed them even if they were up all night with me. Thank you Rachel and Brenna for being a part of such a memorable and fulfilling experience in mine and my family's lives ! : )

They are kind, knowledgeable, and supportive, but the front office and administrative side has been consistently frustrating. The administrative staff is disorganized and unprofessional. They frequently mix up appointment times, give conflicting information, and make even simple tasks feel unnecessarily difficult. They don't use email or an online portal to send updates, test results, or appointment confirmations, which makes it almost impossible to keep track of anything. Everything has to be done by phone, and the communication is often curt or dismissive. Another major frustration is that any time I need bloodwork, I have to schedule a completely separate appointment with a third-party lab instead of being able to do it in-office. This makes routine prenatal care far more inconvenient than it needs to be. I really wanted to have a good experience here, especially since the clinical care from the midwives has been positive, but the front-office management has caused so much stress and confusion that I'm choosing to switch practices. I hope they improve their administrative processes and communication in the future.

I wanted to see my doctor but when I called the office they were charging $260 just to make an appt. I'm single and even though I have insurance I only have my income so I'm getting by on my own but can't afford expenses like that especially because I'm healthy and wouldn't need to see my doctor again for a year which then I'll have to pay $260 again. The staff were amazing and friendly. I did have to wait a little longer even though I was their first and only patient at that moment. Once the PA saw me I was done and out. They do ask for donations on the way out and was more than happy to donate some money and didn't feel forced to have to donate. The office was nice and kept - I will definitely be back when I'm due and they accepted my insurance.

There are truly not enough words to express how grateful I am for Dr. Navi and his incredible team…read more From the beginning of my pregnancy through the delivery of my daughter, Lorelai, I felt cared for, supported, and genuinely valued as a patient. Dr. Navi is an exceptional physician who combines knowledge, professionalism, and compassion in a way that immediately puts you at ease. Throughout my pregnancy, he took the time to listen to my concerns, answer every question, and ensure that both my baby and I received the best possible care. During some stressful moments, his calm demeanor and expertise gave me confidence and reassurance when I needed it most. I also want to give special recognition to Sonia and Brittney at the front desk. They are absolutely amazing. Every phone call, appointment, and interaction was met with kindness, patience, and genuine care. They always made me feel welcome and were incredibly helpful with scheduling, paperwork, and any questions I had along the way. Their warmth and professionalism made such a difference during my pregnancy journey. What sets this office apart is that everyone truly cares. I never felt like just another patient. I felt heard, respected, and supported every step of the way. Bringing my daughter into the world was one of the most important moments of my life, and I am so thankful that Dr. Navi and his team were part of that journey. If you are looking for an OBGYN who is compassionate, knowledgeable, and surrounded by an outstanding team, I cannot recommend Dr. Navi highly enough. Thank you, Dr. Navi, Sonia, Brittney, and the entire staff for helping make my pregnancy and delivery experience such a positive and memorable one. You will always hold a special place in my heart.

I showed up for my app 10-12 min early and after being asked for my driver's license and insurance…read morecard, was presented with about 6 sheets of forms - all standard and expected - except for one: The "Credit Card Authorization" form asked for my credit card info for them to keep on file and charge as they saw fit. I handed the forms back to the lady, was called back, and told the "credit card authorization" form was required to be completed. I explained I was well insured and had completed all of the other forms and those specific to "responsible party" and was uncomfortable writing my credit card number down on a sheet of paper for them to KEEP on file. The lady next to Brittany said that "this was required and their practice's policy." I explained why I was not comfortable with this policy and this was the first time it was brought to my attention, and if this was their practice's policy, they should inform patients and before they are standing at the front desk - waiting to be seen - in a room full of people. Brittany went to go speak w/ the "Billing" person, came back and said "sorry, they will not make an exception." Mind you, there is no issue for me to pay a co-pay in person with cash or a card or debit card, but to hand write my credit card number down on a piece of paper and have it "stored" on file is not normal. I expressed my disbelief that I had waited for this appt and now they would not see me unless I wrote down my credit card info - on a piece of paper - for them. So, I left. I was now, in my car, in the parking lot, and was going to go back inside and insist to speak w/ the "billing" person. Not wanting to make a scene - I was literally in tears at this point - I called and spoke with Brittany. She said the "billing person was Sabrina" (who - of course - is on the phone with an insurance co. her to have Sabrina phone me - because this was a really, really bad experience. First, for most women - a gyno appt is very personal, intimate, and invasive. For many - this type of appt can cause anxiety and distress. As a person with PTSD, I fall into both categories, and had to mentally prep myself for this appt., at this new facility, with people I had never met before and have them look up my privates. Yet, I was prepared, got there early, completed their paperwork, and did everything as asked, except provide personal financial info - my credit card - on a piece of paper. After all - what is the purpose of insurance - in my case - we are blessed to have the best of the best insurance - Motion Picture Anthem Blue Cross - and in addition to standard "person with financial responsibility" forms - in this case, it was me - this office REQUIRES you to give them your credit card and authorize them to charge it at their discretion. That is NOT standard practice. I have seen doctors in and outside the UCLA/Anthem Blue Cross/Motion Picture System, and never once been asked to leave my credit card number on file. And if this is something this practice REQUIRES, in order for a person to be seen, they should advise and disclose this to the person BEFORE they have waited weeks for an appt and are standing at the desk. I began to home when Brittany called back asking if I had left the parking lot yet (I said "yes") then she said she had talked with Sabrina and "she had made an exception for me and would like me to return for my appt and be seen today." Huh? I am truly in shock at this point. Seriously? I told her, "no." I do not feel comfortable nor safe now." She - Brittany - was very nice, but I made it clear that I was not going to return and was going to let my doctor know about this - "requirement" - and how it's sprung on you at the desk and that despite having proof of being well-insured with the best insurance one can have, it came down to give-us-your-credit-card-and auth to charge it at will or-you-wont-be-seen. I got home, decided to call the facility back and went through phone prompts. #4 was for "Billing." It's funny that when pressing #4, the recording said "This extension no longer exists." I am not expecting to receive a call back from Sabrina or Dr. Navi Navizadeh who is supposed to be the practice's owner and doctor. If this practice specializes as a "walk in clinic" and demands payment or access to my personal credit card before being seen - it's not the place for me and most people. Other people, I see, now, have written negative yelp reviewers about improper billing and difficulty with getting issues with the "Billing" person at this place resolved. Giving any doctor or authorization to go ahead and charge - at their whim - your card - for any amount and at any time - is very concerning. Because oftentimes, we see a doctor, get a bill a few weeks later, then a few weeks after that, we get an "EOB" - Explanation of Benefits - which comes straight from our insurance co and often shows a "balance due" of "0" or far less than the bill. That's what we owe. NOT what Dr. Navi bills for
