Dr. Culpepper is an excellent doctor, very kind & personable. I've been going to her office for years, she was my doctor during my second pregnancy. Although she didn't deliver my son because another colleague in the office was on call the day I went into labor. When those contractions hit, it really didn't matter what doctor was there (by that time I had already seen all the doctors in the practice at least once). I just wanted someone that could deliver that baby and quick! ah... memories.... okay back to the review. Dr. Culpepper takes her time during the appointment, always makes sure to ask me if I have any questions or concerns to go over with her before she actually begins the "exam". I don't feel like she's rushing me out of the room. During the exam she's friendly and sociable (great bedside manner) which helps because we all know we have to be in certain uncomfortable positions during these visits. The office staff and nurses are also excellent! They have always been very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend Dr. Culpepper to anyone looking for OB or GYN services. When I originally called to ask some general questions about what exactly a doula does, she was kind, patient, and so freaking educated about the process of childbirth. We were offered a tour of Baylor hospital (virtual due to COVID), newborn classes, and tons of educational resources after booking with NDDA. What stood out to me most was the fact that the all female team there just made you feel like you were so seen, every step of the way. As a Black woman, childbirth can be an extremely scary experience, just look up the statistics of mistreatment in the healthcare space for minorities. Melissa and team advocated for my husband and I. I wanted to honor my placenta because it's such an incredible and powerful organ, and I'm obsessed with the art prints. They're both framed and are hanging up in my daughters' room. I've worked with Meredith L. and Madison Prez for the placenta encapsulation. They were both very easy to contact and responded promptly over text. I worked with Madison most recently, and she picked up the placenta and quickly processed it and delivered it to my home. I got placenta pills, a tincture, the keepsake cord, and the art print. I love the packaging and branding too- very alice in wonderland. I highly recommend this service and would work with Madison again. The art print she made was stunning!

I've had some mental health issues for as long as I can remember, and during my last pregnancy I struggled with it a lot. Working with Dr. Thompson was completely different. She took my mental health into serious consideration and made sure I knew how important it was for me to take care of that as well as my physical health. She is also the reason why I started seeing a therapist; as she heavily recommended it at the beginning of the pregnancy and that on top of my medicine management made the whole experience so much healthier mentally than my first pregnancy. I absolutely love Dr. Thompson and I'm excited to have her as my OB/GYN for years to come! Also, her nurse was incredible as well! Deliana (not sure how to spell her name, hopefully I got that right! Becky offered customized care, consistent support, and was always professional while maintaining the perfect level of relatability and tenderness. Becky helped me to have the birth I wanted; a birth where I was in control, supported, and adequately monitored to ensure that baby and I were healthy and progressing in the right direction. My pregnancy with my first was an overall good experience-but left me feeling a bit like a number and not a person. This pregnancy, I had so much more energy and felt much less anxious-and I owe it all to Becky's support and encouragement. "Normal" pregnancy symptoms weren't over looked and she had recommendations and cared to help me navigate every step. The way she listened and educated was really empowering and healing in and of itself. We had hour (or longer) visits and access to talk with Becky between visits in an online portal-which gave no time for concerns to fester. The way she cared for me (and my 2 year old) at each visit really surpassed expectations and I always left motivated and excited for the next visit. Being truly cared for in a medical setting is not common. All of this resulted in the easiest and quickest labor which was a huge answered prayer. She is intentional, very knowledgeable, and hilarious. Every pregnant mama needs a Becky! We were a little nervous about the cost initially-but the value and services included make Dallas Birth really a great value. So many things were included that we paid out of pocket for our first-lactation services, placenta encapsulation, birth tub, birth classes, pregnancy teas, and probably a lot more that I'm not thinking of or didn't need. And we can submit a claim to insurance after to get reimbursed. I also loved that I didn't have to research different services-Becky takes care of everything.

I called Magnolia OBGYN on 04/01 around 9:00 AM, concerned I was likely having a miscarriage due to severe symptoms. The front desk transferred me to Dr. Roth's medical assistant, who was kind and thorough in collecting my symptoms. She gave me guidance on what to watch for and said she would speak with Dr. Roth and follow up. A couple hours later, she called back to let me know that after speaking with Dr. Roth, the recommendation was to come in for bloodwork to check HCG levels and my blood type. I was also told Dr. Roth would not be available to see me for at least two weeks due to her schedule. I went in for the blood draw that same day, and that experience was quick and professional. On 04/02, I received a notification that my results were available, but I didn't hear anything from the office. I called back the next afternoon (04/03) and was told they would have the medical assistant review the results with me. As of now, nearly 48 hours later, I still have not received a follow-up. This is my first miscarriage, and I've had to turn to Google and friends for answers. I'm sharing this not to criticize anyone personally, but to offer insight for others. If you're looking for a more hands-on or responsive experience, especially during emotional or uncertain times, it may be worth asking in advance what kind of provider relationship you can expect here.

Dr. Uremovich is an exceptional physician. She's thorough, consistent, and deeply focused on patient care. She always prioritizes comfort and professionalism, and I would rate my experience with her a 10/10 across the board. Unfortunately, my experience with the office staff has significantly declined, particularly at the front desk. Over the past year, I have repeatedly observed unprofessional behavior from the receptionist, Laura. During multiple visits, she appeared more focused on scrolling on her phone, fixing her makeup, or slicking back her hair while using her phone as a mirror: than on checking in patients or processing paperwork efficiently. On my most recent visit, I stood at the check-in window for nearly 30 seconds while she finished adjusting her hair/ blush before even acknowledging me. Additionally, the use of a personal phone in plain view of patients' personal health information is concerning and reflects a serious lapse in professionalism and discretion. While I understand that everyone has moments during the workday, this level of comfort and repeated behavior is inappropriate in a medical setting. At my last appointment, I waited 35 minutes past my scheduled time in the lobby before being informed that Dr. Uremovich had been called away over an hour earlier to deliver a baby and would not be able to see me. I fully understand and respect the nature of OB care and emergencies; however, it was frustrating that this information was not communicated sooner. I had used PTO for this appointment and drove 45 minutes to and from work to attend it. When I asked whether patients are typically contacted in advance when their physician is unavailable, I was told, "I mean, we can, but that's not something I can really control sooo...". This response lacked any accountability or basic courtesy on her end. A simple phone call would have prevented any unnecessary inconvenience or frustration. While I continue to hold Dr. Uremovich in the highest regard, the lack of professionalism and hospitality at the front desk ultimately led me to discontinue care with this office. First impressions matter, and front-office staff set the tone for the entire patient experience. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as it would be unfortunate for other patients to be lost due to completely avoidable administrative issues.
