This place is one of the few places that has not changed in quality! Always enjoy their sandwiches!!

Great, classic Boar's Head deli sandwiches! I've lived in Rocky Hill my whole life and never been to Whole Deli but have friends who rave about it!! There was another sandwich shop on the other side of town I used to frequent but unfortunately they closed. Today, I was craving a classic deli sandwich on a hard roll...so here was my opportunity to finally try Whole Deli. What a perfect sandwich. There's really nothing else to say! Classic hard roll, freshly sliced roast beef (yes, you can tell), and fresh veggies. Couldn't be happier! Definitely making this joint my go-to sandwich shop from now on.

All morning I was craving a bec on a hard role. I have lived by the Whole Deli all my life, passed it thousands of times, but never went in until today. I was the only costumer at the time, the two workers were very kind. They took my order right away and went to cooking. After less than 3 minutes my sandwich was ready and I was out the door. This bec was just what I wanted, it was perfect. Not greasy at all, everything was so fresh. Definitely recommend their all-day breakfast sandwiches!

Picked up a $10 roast beef sandwich. Not bad but a bit more meat would be nice for 10 bucks. The service was good and quick. Polite cashier.

A sandwich is complete when it has two tasty friends.

1.) Just to warm you up: I came back around this time because I was hungry and wanted to try something new. I did not try anything new. 2.) What your eyes may see: No restroom. An Asian guy working the cash register. He is the owner. And an Arabic guy cooking right behind him. Tables and semi booths for you to sit in. A nice view of Silas Deane highway, and what a nice view it is! lol 3.) Food: I got the usual suspects - which were a Philly Cheese Steak, Jalapeño Chips from Deep River, and Cream Soda from Boylan. A sandwich that had two tasty friends satisfying my stomach and taste buds. And I believe that that sandwich was made with love because.... 4.) Service: Because the owner's right hand man, the guy who made the sandwich was a very very very very very very very very nice guy. I mean, this guy gave me winks and smiles that only one who was physically attracted would give. He put appreciating his costumers to another level. I actually felt uncomfortable eating there, because I got constant looks, winks and smiles from this guy. Sheesh. *buries face into sandwich* 5.) Impressions: All in all, the food and service here are good. I'm starting to believe that if you are a chocolate man, you will be getting a lot of attention from the guy who makes the sandwiches. A lot of attention.

    Yum...Italian combo.

Best sandwiches in town! I have the Italian combo. My husband had the pastrami. And the folks here are really super friendly.

For the Rocky Hill / Wethersfield area, probably some of the best grinders around. Very lean pastrami, they only use Boar's Head meat.

You expect, like the other establishments in the plaza, to find a small cafe style restaurant. When you walk in, you are surprised with fun decor and spacious dining area. Everyone who has gone with me says the same thing "I would never expect it to look like this based on the outside." As for food, they have the Best Reuben sandwich in Rocky Hill. Fries are crispy and price on point. Every meal I've had there has been great! The only downside is table service during lunch is very slow. So make sure you have a full hour to burn if you go for lunch.

So happy I finally caught this restaurant when they were open!…read moreI'm now making an effort to get out of the house early to catch them. Firstly, this restaurant is bigger than it looks! Secondly, the latte, cocktail & mocktail options are amazing, along with the many many options of food. I've heard that food from restaurants with large menus are mediocre...this DOES NOT apply here. My party of 2 tried breakfast & lunch options. Both were fresh & so flavorful, especially that homemade syrup I had with the French Egg Holes & Cinnamon Roll Pancakes (3). The home fries came out & were seasoned to perfection. Also, not 1 hard potato to be found. The over medium egg in my thick french toast was actually medium! And they gave me the wholes that were cut from the center of the bread. The pancakes were so fluffy & the icing delish. Tasted exactly like a cinnamon roll. We also ordered 2 different mimosas. The cranberry & the classic. Both were made crispy cold, with quality juices & came garnished. The Salted Cinnamon Mocha Latte, was velvet. It wasn't overly sweet, it wasn't watery or overly bold. I was surprised about how tall the cup was...I drank all of it. It wasn't served scorching hot, so I could sip right away. The Greek Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup was lovely. Typically, soup is watery & looks like it was the last bits, but this had chunky meat, the broth had flavor with hints of lemon. You could see the herbs. This didn't scream, I'm from a can at all. The service was also nice & the waitresses didn't mind that we couldn't make our decisions right away. She & her counterpart offered suggestions & were very kind with checking on us. At the end of the meal, we couldn't help but order some take home from the lunch menu for later. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Cove Deli was the only place that I hadn't already tried that I would try. Selection made. Cove Deli is located in what could be a charming grey multi-level residence towards the far north side of the Silas Deane in Wethersfield. It's sign is grey/blue and looks like it would be obscured by the shade for some of the day. Guess that's why I never noticed. They serve things such as breakfast sandwiches, coffee, burgers, salads, lunch sandwiches and prepared meals for home consumption. The inside was well-cared for and decorated in a manner fitting the nice exterior of the building. I would be comfortable eating there, although I'm still mostly in takeout mode. I ordered something I usually only order in Manhattan - an everything bagel with lox, red onion, tomato, capers and cream cheese. Cove Deli promptly answered my call, and my order, which Cove Deli calls "Lox on a Bagel", was ready when I arrived about 10 minutes later. Service was friendly. The "Lox on a Bagel" was decent, but is a couple of steps down from the best New York places that I've tried. The ingredients were all fine, but there were no real standouts. I would definitely return to try something different at the Cove Deli, but I prefer other places in the area for bagels. Three Stars

The place is small, and the staff were very much in work mode. Not very friendly but efficient. I ordered the Italian combo and the girlfriend got a custom made. The staff got the sandwiches made quickly and I was back in the car in no time. It's a good sub, but not a 14 dollar sub. There's a decent amount of meat and it was fresh. But the upcharge for the grinder roll and the portion was pricy for what I got. Would've liked to see some more veggies on the roll to bulk it out. Or some spreads to amp the flavor up.
