I had an issue with my 2004 Ford Explorer. I had taken it to several places, including the local Ford dealership and each one told me it was something different and the prices to fix it would be between $600.00 to $850.00 dollars. I am not made out of money. So in talking to a friend he told me to take it up to Whittington's BP. He told me that the man who used to own it was a Christian man and since he passed, his daughter and her husband own it and they were fair wouldn't rip me off.
I took it up there and had to leave the truck overnight but when I went back there the next day to get it, it was ready and the problem wasn't anything the others had told me. I had an aftermarket anti-theft system that had gone bad and was not allowing the engine to start.Whittington's fixed the problem and charged me $65.00 for one hour of bench time and I have not had a problem since.
Sure,it's not a convenience store. (As far as I am concerned there are far to many of those gas and go's). They sell gas and they have a cooler to get a drink, but what they have most is honest repair service and that's not something you get everyday. read more
