Every day is a new fresh sopa, however sometimes we'll most times they have 2 holidays people come in and order multiple large pozoles for parties. food is very good and they are always busy on lunch and cold days and holidays. All made in the home. I would call because the soups can change or they have two soups they do sell out so for holidays come in a few days at least to place your order. It's not a fancy place, at all but the food is good and many people come and if you like small spots, you know those good hole in the wall spots that have been around for years then this is the spot. i never had a issue with the food, there food is good but with pozole and caldo taste very. read more

The food is good. I come here to get cocido it is fatty on some pieces let's you know heart is not put into it is it good yes salty but good. I tried the tamales .... this is a no for tamales they were dry I couldn't even swallow it down. It was hard on one side. I won't buy them any longer I stick to the beans and an occasional cocido. Customer service at the register is decent , the person's at the hot food do tend to ignore you when you want to order food. It takes them a while. Saw a roach crawling around the hot food container. While waiting in line to order something another person in line noted to the woman making food that there was a roach crawling around inside the already cooked hot food compartment. I saw the roach moving in between the various containers and the woman tried shewing it away with a styrofoam cup. I exited immediately not ordering anything. The kitchen, located on the left side upon entry, does Mexican comfort food + pizza at really reasonable prices. I bought lunch (two pork tamales) +6 pack of soda+ couple of bags of chicharones +couple of Mexican sweets = $12. Small, mom n pop, full service grocers like these are a dying breed. It''s a great thing to have for when you don't feel like cooking & want a delicious quick meal, better yet it tastes so good and authentic. The lady that runs it is really sweet & gives you good portions. The pandulce is really good & the carnerceria has good seasoned meats to grill or make however you wish. Part of the produce isn't too bad in prices, depends on what your getting. The market/liquor portion is ridiculously overpriced, but if you don't mind getting ripped off for convenience....The little asian gentleman that runs it however is really sweet and gives great customer service to his local patrons. Until I move, this is my weekly pitstop. One more thing, they sell the large menudo (on the weekends) for $6.00, and if you bring your olla, please remember $6 only goes for the amount they sell for the large container, so if your olla is huge, your going to pay more, to serve a family of four costs close to $15 - about the average now a days. read more

Great prices and good quality meat. The beans are very good and I can buy a large side for $5 or $6 and it lasts me three or four days and many many burritos. Bean burritos for breakfast ( with a little bit of the Mexican shredded cheese from Trader Joe's) bean burritos for lunch, and maybe even dinner if I have not tired of them. Especially at the end of the month, and when take out dinners are running $40-$60 . Two lbs of carne for $20. Theee lbs of chicken $8. Ok ok. Had to stop here today. They actually had a decent selection of items all around. The people were friendly and it was very convenient. With all this COVID19 crap, we need to support the local shops, this place has alot to offer and friendly service. They have a deli, alcohol, not liquor, produce, and a meat dept, small but all the basics. The only downfall is parking. This is a busy plaza so be careful moving in and out of there. read more

They have a lil bit of everything and even have a meat counter, which serves up an assortment of Mexican meats. They also have a wide variety of Mexican breads and candies. From the outside it looks like a dive. But when you go inside you see if they have good fruit vegetables they have a true meat counter with the butcher and they have a place makes good sandwiches. However, amid the COVID-19 pandemic situation we're currently experiencing, I decided to go to this market a week ago since most large chains were overcrowded and could not find any produce or meat. I went to the "take out" or prepped food area where they had a wide array of retried beans, rice, chicken, and even chilaquiles options. Additionally, they had warm bolillos or bread rolls coming out of the oven. They have milk, produce, and household essentials all in one. Their meat prices are competitive especially with the ranchera style of steak which is $7.99 a pound whereas in other nearby places the quality is the same but costs nearly $10 a pound. Ask for the thick cut pork chops. They will be frozen, but he will cut them to and thickness you wish. Remember, you have to ask for them, they are never in the case. I've been coming by this place for a couple months.  The place is a convenience market, if you want something and don't feel like waiting in at the super market then this is the you're looking for.  I noticed a reviewer said pricing was a little high.  I don't believe it too high, although that why you pay a little bit more for not having to wait in a long line at the super market.   I will from time to time get a burrito on my way for. The Green Chile burritos are great.  They put plenty of ingredients your typical green Chile, rice, beans, onions and cilantro.  Very tasty.  I forsure will be continuing to buy the green burritos.
