She took the time to walk us through the menu and even shared how she cashed in her retirement to follow her dream of owning this place. You can tell her heart is in every bite. The menu covers all the good stuff--burgers, fried bologna, chicken tenders--but as the name suggests, the real stars are the loaded hot dogs. They start with a big locally sourced 6-to-1 all-beef dog and then pile on some wild toppings. I went with the Mactastic Dog--two strips of grilled bacon, creamy housemade mac & cheese, and a drizzle of sweet and tangy BBQ sauce, all on a perfectly steamed bun. Absolute perfection. I also couldn't resist trying the Bologna Coney, which was a thick grilled slice of bologna (cut in half) topped with Debbie's "almost famous" homemade coney sauce, a hit of stadium mustard, diced onions, and a generous handful of shredded cheese. I made it a combo with fries and a drink, and it did not disappoint. My wife ordered the Slaw Dog and loved every bite. As a former chef, I've got a soft spot for simple food done right--and that's exactly what Crazy Dog Grill delivers. The place itself has a fun, casual vibe with tables on two levels and some great classic rock playing in the background. If you're anywhere near Chillicothe, run, don't walk to Crazy Dog Grill. Ask for Debbie's "almost famous" coney sauce (I'm trying to make it officially famous!), and if you're a mac and cheese lover--trust me--get the Mactastic Dog. You'll thank me later. Tell Debbie Brian and Candi said hello!!

The set up is hilariously insane, worth the stop alone. The cashier was fun and friendly, and the graffiti in the women's room was inspiring! I have a basic bitch stomach, so got the "Puppy" with just ketchup. Sproßling got the Mothman, garnished with I believe onion rings and 1000 Island. Husband got his smothered in jalapeños. We split a full size onion rings, which were hot and tasty. We all had Gold Peak tea. The dogs tasted great, if I had a normal stomach I would have gotten a second one. As it was, we were in and out and back on the road quick as a wink!

Well this place is not a place you are going to pass by on the way to anywhere you would travel…read more Our really good friends (the husband who recently passed) is from West Virginia and they spoke of this place. We planned a trip to Williamsburg, VA over the week after Christmas. Coming from SoIN/Louisville KY area we are going I-64 E. About 200 miles later (and about 20 miles round trip out of the way) we ended up at Hillbilly Hot Dogs. So about the food... you'll see the pics of the dogs we ordered. Not fantastic hot dogs, but a good experience. The service was impeccable. If you left a tip the cashier sang a song. She had a really nice voice too! This place has a 3 choices for huge hot dogs with a couple of pounds of toppings. The Homewrecker, the Widowmaker, and Pick Yer Wrecker. We saw a guy and his wife eating one as we were leaving, and it was epic. It was a fun place to go to see some the nostalgia in the "old-time" things hanging as the decor.
