One of the best I've had! The olive cakes were good, well backed and had a delicate flavor. However, we weren't the biggest fans of the thyme flavor, but that's just our preference. The focaccia was deliciously savory, the toppings paired well with the bread without overtaking its flavor. Lastly, the showstopper, was the cinnamon roll. It was next level good, and I dare say the best I've ever had. The roll itself was soft, buttery, and full of cinnamon spice. The frosting was perfect, creamy with a delicate cream cheese flavor. I know I'm going to be craving it in the future. On top of the delicious baked goods, the interior was clean and had welcoming vibe. The employees were kind and helpful. The price for everything was $58, which makes sense with how expensive groceries are nowadays. And you're supporting a small, locally owned business. My typical go-to are blueberry cake and devils food/chocolate cake, and they were just okay, but the rest were absolutely worth trying! Interestingly, they do a baker's dozen (13 not 12) but the 13th donut is chosen from a separate case with options that are different than the regular donut options and at other places would cost more like cinnamon rolls, apple fritters, specialty long johns, etc. we found that fascinating, as I tried to get one as part of my dozen and they said those are the free ones instead. I don't usually eat sugar, so trying donuts on this vacation was a big stretch for me, but these were absolutely worth it! Pricing transparency. The menu listed the price for a cold brew at $4.50, so I asked which size corresponded to that price. The answer? None of them. The small was cheaper and the medium was more expensive than the price shown. I inquired further and the very kind and attentive worker also explained that prices on the menu don't include charges for dairy alternatives--which is understandable since some coffee shops do that. Here's the problem: I was charged almost a dollar extra for heavy cream, but I wasn't informed beforehand. When I asked if it was an extra charge, the worker confirmed it was, but also mentioned it wasn't listed on their menu and i get the impression they aren't instructed to inform customers about it. This makes the pricing dishonest. This issue could be easily fixed by updating the digital menu to reflect extra charges for dairy alternatives or by training staff to notify customers. Otherwise, the coffee and service were great.
