At the time I lived in Columbus and was in the Ironton/Portsmouth area to see family and had randomly found this spot when they were located downtown. Over the years I had visited and found some awesome horror items, comics, and vintage toys. It's been a few years since I've been in as I now live 4.5 hours away compared to 2.5, but was in the area on Wednesday. I had stopped in and browsed but finally tried the ice cream. I had a Wookies n Cream shake and my wife had a BB Cake cone. The punny names work well with the shop and the flavors were good. The only strike was the straw for the shake was an Icee straw vs a regular one. Staff was friendly and prices were very fair from toys & comics. Definitely a place I try to visit when I'm in the area.

The Shakery is a cool "Mom & Pops" eater with a plethora of sweet treats. There is a place to stand and order outside, a drive thru, outside seating and indoor seating. You will see people of all ages. It's really nostalgic. The environment is nice & clean. Staff is friendly and I must say they did an excellent job for as busy as they were. There sweet treats vary from classic shakes to "blizzard-like" shakes, sundaes, specialty shakes, banana splits & slushies. I chose a peanut butter shake which was so creamy and full of peanut butter flavor. SO GOOD!!!!!! Perfect consistency for dipping my French fries in. Yea...I'm one of those lol. Scarlett chose a cherry slushie. You will get your sweet treats before your food. I ordered a hamburger and she got a kids grilled cheese and fries. The kids portion is a full size cheese sandwich btw. We enjoyed our time at the Shakery. The food is made to Order so don't expect drive-thru mentality. It's worth the wait I promise.

Wonderful ice cream wonderful customer service. i have never experienced a place quite like this…read moreone.. let me take you back to 7/11/25 around 5pm. there was a little redheaded girl, cute blonde, and lovely brunette working on this fine evening. i watched as the three of them teamed up to tackle my order as quick as they could. the little blonde girl hit the floor hard as she made my large swirl cone.. however.. she held that cone up high just to where i could see it. still standing. perfection. the brunette picked her up and threw her over her shoulder rushing to the window to serve me my cone. the little redhead even performed an interpretive dance for me for entertainment as i waited on my delight. i would tip each one $50 if i could afford it.. sadly i'm living out of my car right now. at my lowest point of my life, these 3 ladies have inspired me to keep pushing.
