Mike came in to install the outlet and he had all the material ready to install immediately. He not only install the outlet but also fixed a loosened wire nearby to make the area safer. He is nice to work with and efficient, speedy but not rushing the work. The rate is reasonable, charged by the time spend instead of a flat rate. I was concerned because I didn't have the oven on and didn't have anything else plugged into it, so I thought there could be a short. I didn't want to just reset the circuit if there was a short. When the technician from Platt arrived he came in and went to the circuit breaker box and reset the circuit. Then he left. That was all he did. He didn't investigate anything, he just reset the circuit. I could have done that. However, I soon received a bill for $95. I understand there is a charge to come out, but $95 is outrageous, especially since they are located right down the street from my house. They never told me ahead of time that there would be such a large charge to simply come out. The technician was literally in my house for less than five minutes, maybe less than three minutes, and as far as I know I may still have an electrical problem. I complained to them, but they simply called to defend their position, which made me feel worse. I told them that I would leave a negative review, so they didn't cash my check to them for more than a month. I guess they were hoping I would forget about it. However, they just cashed the check so I figured now was the time to leave feedback.

Guardian installed a radon mitigation system at our house yesterday. We found them because of their…read more5-star Yelp rating, and they earned that rating from us, too. Our situation was a bit complex--we have a combination of basement and crawl spaces as well as multiple sump pumps--but it didn't faze them. Mike, Matt and Eric did an extremely professional job, finished earlier than expected and left the work areas spotless. We have a powerful fan ejecting the gas, but it's essentially silent. One other pleasant surprise was that the outside vertical vent isn't the white PVC pipe you see on other houses--everything above the fan is the same aluminum piping as our gutter system, so it matches both in appearance and color. Guardian is highly recommended.
