Despite specific instructions not to, the White's delivery person left our driveway gate open (I know this because, in retrospect, a worker who on our property said he found the gate was not closed closed), and one of our two dogs escaped. I thought he was gone for good. We looked everywhere for a long time. We finally found him in Shinnecock! It was a lazy and selfish thing to do. That was certainly not professional, and I'm not sure I ever want to go to that store again. read more

When ever I call in an RX, this pharmacy gets things done. I'm never waiting for days or getting a machine for 15 min. You get a person to pick up and handle your requests. Always friendly and never long lines! Plus they have some of your everyday needs to shop around and they carry some wonderful brands for make up, body & facial needs as well as fighting off mosquitoes! read more

We LOVE White's Apothecary - the pharmacy is truly one of the best we have ever dealt with and all the pharamcists are both very nice and very competent. Our family has multiple, complicated medication needs, including for minors, and White's is incredibly helpful and efficient in dealing with us and our insurance providers. They are also great about providing flu and shingles shots, etc. When we were living in NYC, we used one of the supposedly "best" pharmacies in Manhattan for decades - and they were a local, non-chain business so we wanted to support them, but despite having four times the staff that White's does, they were not nearly as competent or efficient. I am truly shocked to see the negative reviews here. Especially during COVID-19, White's was a lifesaver with its home delivery service. I just want to add to contextualize those reviews that East Hampton is of course a tourist and vacation destination and businesses get swamped come the summer and hire a lot of new, temporary staff to deal with the crush. The other factor is that not all but a very noticeable group of people out here - residents and visitors alike - are just unbelievably obnoxious in terms of their treatment of anybody in a "service" category - rude, grabby, demanding, and sometimes abusive. There is a level of entitlement that is very unpleasant and often means that "poor service" is simply not serving them FIRST. read more

This is the best pharmacy ever, I've been going here for years and would never go back to a big chain store. Everyone working there is friendly and helpful. They take the time to get to know their customers and provide the personal service you sometimes need from a pharmacist, including filling my prescription within minutes when I'm the one who messed up, helping me navigate changing co-pays, and even giving my dog treats. Just was turned away at Sag Harbor White's Apothecary for my Shingles vaccine! Their website does not require appointments but when I arrived at 3:45 in the afternoon on a Wednesday the pharmacist told me he was overwhelmed and not give any more shots out that day. I agreed to come back and asked when we be best, he responded Saturday. I asked if I could have both that and my flu shot at the same time and was told "if I have the time"! Ok...I went along to do some additional shopping when I over hear a lovely YOUNG woman about his age come in and ask if she and her daughter could get their flu shots and he said "SURE FOR YOU"! When I calmly walked up and said "Thanks a lot" he just pushed me aside and said she had an appointment?? WHAT APPOINTMENT? I guess my senior citizen status just didn't hold up to those flowing blonde locks. This is appalling behavior and I cannot tell you how much I have spent on cosmetics, etc in that store whilst raising 2 daughters locally. I will never again spend a dime here and am concerned about even having an injection from a professional with such attitude. When I shop, I do try to shop locally, but now its off to CVS/RiteAid and BlueMercury I go. read more

Andrew in sag harbor is a complete nightmare and has made his staff the same way. What a cold hearted uncaring man who disappoints one's feelings about humanity. I literally ran in there the other day in a full blown migraine attack that was causing vision disturbance and a feeling that I was going to pass out. I said pls help me and he never even looked up! I said I must get an aspirin in my system asap I'll pay for everything. He and his 2 assistants stood there staring at me like I was some crazy person who was freaking out. I was having a medical emergency and the first think I thought was I love White's in sh so I'll be safe there let me go there. I am young and well dressed not an old crazy person so their reaction was strange and again stuff of movies where people dying are stepped over in nyc. Andrew is so cold and I said if I pass out pls call 911 and again he was looking down like he couldn't be bothered. I get being afraid or inexperienced but I am a healthcare professional also and if someone is in need I instinctively act. He literally could not have cared less if I had dropped dead on the store of his floor. People like Andrew in White's sag harbor hurt your faith in humanity honestly very very sad what is wrong with him?? Not a human no soul. read more

By far the best pharmacy in the Hamptons. Yes with cvs opening up all over the place it's tempting --but the staff here is knowledgeable , friendly and professional. And great selection of cosmetics and candles and cards -- all in a beautiful setting on Main Street. I've had a few emergencies and they were extremely helping in making things happen. read more

I ran out of makeup during my trip to the Hamptons and this was the only place near me that carried several high end brands. So happy to find them! They were very helfpul as soon as I walked in on a Saturday. Then I get home and realize that I bought the wrong shade of makeup. I googled their website and it stated that they were closed Sunday. However the next day, Sunday, I called just in case and sure enough they were open. I had no issues exchanging the makeup. Thank you! read more

I've been buying Clinique at White's for about 20 years. No more. This long-time, loyal customer is moving on. White's was sold to a Brooklyn company and the transition has not been good for customers. The Clinique stock has all but disappeared. The store clerks kept saying "Two more weeks, two more weeks" for more inventory but that's been going on since May. It's now October. Two different clerks have written down my name and number, swearing they'd call me in a few days. No calls. A third clerk said "I promise" three times while telling me she would call me in two days. She also told me she'd have a bag of free samples as an apology for my long wait. A week later, no call. I went into the store and a fourth clerk couldn't find anything set aside for me. I'm going today to Macy's in Hampton Bays. read more

I was strolling around the neighborhood, when I stumbled upon this gem of a place. I walked in looking for a particular product, and two different ladies approached me to help find it-both extremely sweet, and pleasant. I've been to many beautifully done pharmacies, considering I'm a pharmacist, but haven't seen such an exquisite apothecary yet! I was so in awe of the store, that I casually asked one of the ladies "whose the owner" of this store, so I can commend them on their superb job!!! They show me this extremely cute and bubbly young lady, who I was so in awe of. Wowww!!! She spent 45 minutes talking to me, about all sorts of things, and me wishing I could've been 1/3rd as accomplished as her when I was her age. I hope your store does better and better each and every year, because you guys truly deserve it!!! I will come to visit every time I'm in the area, to support such an awesome place. read more
