The feel of the house is a little cluttered, but nothing to complain about. Your GPS might not find the place, but if you can get to the causeway there are signs along the road to get you to the B&B.

Golfers who've been to Bandon Dunes, it's like staying at The Inn, but with friendly, warm personal service. *Perfectly* positioned about a three wood and a nine-iron from the pro shop at Portstewart and only a 10-minute drive to Royal Portrush. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfasts are delicious and healthy. Ernestine's scones -- Oh. My. Goodness. So heavenly. The house is just far enough from the bustle of the town, and about 30 minutes from Giants Causeway and the Rope Bridge. You would be hard pressed to find better accommodations for the value. We had a lovely spacious room that overlooked a storybook pastoral view, complete with frolicking sheep. In the morning we were provided with one of the best breakfasts we have had at any facility. Breakfast, served amiably and with courtesy by Mr. Martin, allowed a choice from multiple options including a traditional Irish breakfast, porridge with Bailey's or Irish whiskey, and other options. The scones were first rate, and the selection of fresh fruit was one of the best I have seen anywhere - better than many of the finest hotels. Our hostess, Josephine, was most gracious and provided many useful details regarding the sites to see in the area, and navigation to them, as well as our next destinations. She recommended a walking tour of Derry that was of unusually good quality. All in all, I would have to agree that it is not an exaggeration to state that this is the best B&B in Ireland. The Martin family sets the standard for caring for the traveler. They evince a level of care and warmth that clearly transcends that of a mere business concern.

Glenegedale House is such a cozy, inviting house, exceptionally well-appointed throughout, including the wonderful bedrooms that inspired us with a real sense of tranquility. Glenegedale is also surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of Islay. Graham and Emma are excellent chefs and each meal was a culinary masterpiece...incorporating fresh-caught seafood, other locally-produced foods, and Islay's amber elixirs into an amazing experience. From Graham's special Islay porridge, to the seafood platter that included scallops someone on Islay dove for that day...Graham and Emma make each guest feel extra special. Their knowledge of Islay and their deep relationships across the island, also added to our visits to historic sites, distilleries, and craft shops. The house is impeccably clean, and our room had so many thoughtful touches, such as chocolates, tea, and hot chocolate waiting for us. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and Pauline made sure we were familiar with how to use the shower. Our ground-floor room overlooked her blooming garden, a lovely, peaceful view to wake up to each morning. During our visit, the house was being reroofed due to storm damage, yet Pauline made sure the roofers didn't start too early so we wouldn't be disturbed. That attention to detail speaks volumes about the care she puts into her guests' experience. The breakfasts were truly exceptional - completely bespoke, with anything you want prepared just the way you like it. Enjoying a delicious meal served on crystal, china, and silver while gazing out over the lough felt like such a treat - elegant, relaxing, and deeply satisfying. An amazing way to start each day! Pauline goes above and beyond to help with anything you might want to do in the area. Whether it's arranging tea at the Merchant Hotel or booking tours of the Titanic exhibit, she takes care of it with enthusiasm and efficiency. Her husband, Ambrose, is also a delight--charming, insightful, and a pleasure to chat with. Leaving Hargreaves House felt like saying goodbye to family.
