    Steak and Guinness Pie

The steak and Guinness pie is delicious and the new gift shop is great! I recommend. I've eaten here twice. Once in 2016 and again in 2024. It was a good experience both times. Good service and good food.

On a Game of Thrones tour and stopped here which was a great spot. Got the beef hamburger and chips which was delicious and extremely filling. Very cool decorations including one of the rare Game of Thrones doors made out of the Dark Hedges cedar trees and a room full of decor including an Iron Throne photo op, house banners, and a Westeros map. The service was great as well, highly recommend and very close to the beach!

Date: April 2017 Time: late afternoon After going around Northern Ireland on a self driving Game of throne tour, we were hungry. Unknown to us, we stop by this restaurant that called GOT door #6 and the food was surprising very good. I think it is one of our favorites meal in Ireland. we were greatly surprised how good the food was, since we just left London and the food there was ok... There wasn't anyone in the restaurant, but us. 1. We came in between lunch and dinner time. 2. It was April and not peak tourist season. 3. I think it is more a local or tourist restaurant , as it is out of the way from major city. Food was good, decent service, portion was decent coming from an American, and price was good not expensive for the meal. Another thing potato, potato, potato. It's Ireland.

Such a hoping place. Packed to the brim with tourists, however when I asked the waiter politely for a four top she sat us right away. As her lone of patrons when to the back of the pub for check out she promised she'd be with us as soon as she could, and she was. Her name was Paige. She was perfectly prompt and even patient as I order hot tea and my peers their pints. We had lovely food for lunch, from a hearty seafood chowder served with brown bread and butter, steak and ale pie and one juicy burger with chips. Everything was warm and delicious. They have clean toilets and settings. Paige's colleagues would occasionally check on us, bring water or anything we may need. It's off season and still uber busy and when I told Paige was an incredible job they were doing she said that this time of year is easy. Something to keep in mind during busier seasons then right? Cheers for the hot meal and great service guys.

Stopped by here for lunch on a bus tour to the Giant's Causeway but I found the food to be very poor quality. There were very few options on the menu (stew, soup and sandwich, burgers, veg stir fry), and the dining room was really old. Me and friend ordered the soup/ sandwich combo, and there was only an option of white bread. The bread was mainly full of mayonnaise so it was really unhealthy, and the soup was like canned soup in that it was very watery with an artificial taste. It also had a strange colour to it. We paid £6 for it which I thought was high for such poor quality food. Also it took quite a long time to arrive. Also the hole for the toilet paper dispenser was really narrow making to almost impossible to pull out. The only good thing that I found was that the staff were friendly, but overall I wouldn't recommend this place for lunch.

We arrived yesterday in time for a lovely lunch of sandwiches and soup followed by fish and chips. The fish was extremely tasty and batter crispy. The we had a fantastic 4 course meal last night of chowder, ribs and chicken combo, apple pie and Baileys coffee. The portion sizes were perfect, service and presentation was superb......and more importantly tasted out of this world. The bedroom was spacious and the bed was really comfy. Had an en suite bathroom with a wonderful shower. This was followed this morning by an amazing breakfast of sausage, egg, bacon, mushroom, tomato, beans, pancake and potato bread. Definitely worth checking out!! A great place to stay when in Ballintoy. There is a wee shrine to Game of Thrones and the proprietors Sean and Geraldine have got the 9th carved door from the trees that were blown down at the Dark Hedges. Had a fantastic night in the bar last night and partied into the wee hours!!

I had a lamb shank with roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes. The lamb was so tender, it fell off the bone.

Amazing food!! I had a lamb shank with roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes. Oh my goodness, the flavors. The lamb was so tender, it fell off the bone. The service was prompt, friendly and courteous. I'll be back tomorrow for breakfast

Stayed here many of times now, and would recommend it to anyone. Staff are unbelievably friendly and always there to help! Food is top notch, I recommend the bang bang chicken, YUM!!! 5 star b&b! And if you are a game of thrones fan you will love it!!

I wasn't expecting much as we drove from the rope bridge to giants Causeway but the place was pretty darn good. Had the roast of the day, lamb shank. Was fantastic. All of our meals were really good. Service was excellent and very nice. Lots of dogs in the place, which was fine with me but if you're not into that, could be overwhelming. Would go again.

The wonderful experience started even before we arrived. Their pre-arrival communications assured us our upcoming stay was in the best hands...and upon arriving, we quickly learned that the accommodations, culinary experiences, and Islay insights for all our local day trips would be world class; and, they were!!! Glenegedale House is such a cozy, inviting house, exceptionally well-appointed throughout, including the wonderful bedrooms that inspired us with a real sense of tranquility. Glenegedale is also surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of Islay. Graham and Emma are excellent chefs and each meal was a culinary masterpiece...incorporating fresh-caught seafood, other locally-produced foods, and Islay's amber elixirs into an amazing experience. From Graham's special Islay porridge, to the seafood platter that included scallops someone on Islay dove for that day...Graham and Emma make each guest feel extra special. We will never forget the presentation and the deliciousness of each meal. Their knowledge of Islay and their deep relationships across the island, also added to our visits to historic sites, distilleries, and craft shops. We amended some of our itinerary, based on their insights and we're so glad we did. They've given us a much better appreciation for the island and the people of Islay. This was an extraordinary experience because of our stay at Glenegedale House. We give Glenegadelle House (Emma and Graeme) our highest recommendation and will definitely be back as soon as possible.
