THE BEST B AND B IN NORTHERN IRELAND. Hands-down. Ernestine was SO welcoming...staying up late into the night to welcome me after an 11:00 arrival from Belfast. The room was incredibly spacious. The best shower I've ever had outside the U.S. -- hot and with excellent water pressure. Great breakfasts as you'd expect (my personal recommendation is the French Toast with cheese and tomato). Golfers who've been to Bandon Dunes, it's like staying at The Inn, but with friendly, warm personal service. *Perfectly* positioned about a three wood and a nine-iron from the pro shop at Portstewart and only a 10-minute drive to Royal Portrush. Will DEFINITELY be back here with friends on our next trip. read more

Tom and Ernestine -- Kind, welcoming, accommodating, and helpful. Tom helped us book a round of golf and hire clubs at the Portstewart Golf Club, where the 2017 Irish Open was played. His son, Thomas, even took a day off work, came back from Belfast, to meet us and play golf with us! My husband and dad were thrilled! The accommodations at the Strand House are amazing. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfasts are delicious and healthy. Ernestine's scones -- Oh. My. Goodness. So heavenly. The house is just far enough from the bustle of the town, and about 30 minutes from Giants Causeway and the Rope Bridge. You would be hard pressed to find better accommodations for the value. We definitely plan on going back. read more

What a wonderful B&B! Tom and Ernestine are so friendly, helpful and fun. The house and rooms are clean, modern and beautifully decorated. Bathrooms are amazing. Located far enough from the busiest part of Port Stewart that is quiet at night. read more

Perfect! Didn't want to leave! Tom and Ernestine made us feel like family and went out of their way to make our week long stay perfect. Am usually a bit leery of B&Bs abroad but this was so much better than any hotel. Rooms were spacious, clean, and quiet. Fast wifi. Same day laundry. We were traveling the country on motorcycles and were there for the North West 200 Race week. One row of houses away from the beach with ocean views and sea breezes. Close enough to walk to the course or to the Portstewart prom for dinner and a pint and far enough that late night party folks won't disturb. Tom even gave us a ride to the course grandstands in the morning so there was time to enjoy the wonderful home cooked breakfasts and not miss any action. We explored many great places along the Causeway Coast when there was no racing. I'm already missing the place and can't wait to go back! read more
