Restaurant not very crowded (Tuesday night). Ten minutes later, we are still sitting there with no one coming by or acknowledging our presence at all. This place is very UNPROFESSIONAL! From hospitality to bartending. Guys don't go here. Waste your time and money. The bar wasn't busy at all No one at the reception for nearly 10 minutes . Bartender didn't know nothing about the place he works for. Didn't even give a right menu. I doubt if he speaks English . Stayed at DoubleTree for New Year's eve as we were waiting for family to fly in to SFO at 11:00 pm chose to stay the night rather than drive home. We had no plans to go out to dinner and looked over menu and thought it would be a good place for our holiday meal. Not Quite. When we got to the restaurant there were signs posted that showed the Holiday Dinner Specials. What we didn't know was that the 2..Specials..yes only TWO...Prime Rib Dinner and Salmon Dinner were the only items offered. We didn't want either. So we asked if we could have appetizers or Soup and Salad. That would be NO. When they listed 2 choices...the 2 choices are all they had. It was no surprise that it was New Year's eve and when we got to restaurant there was no one there. The staff was nice enough to tell us about the limited menu before we sat down. They were very friendly and don't deserve the 1 star. The person or persons that deserve the bad review is whoever decided on this crazy holiday menu. We ended up ordering from GrubHub. read more

First, amazing wait staff! Our bartender (and everyone else working here) Jill was fantastic! She let me try 4 different wines before bringing me the perfect red! (Earthquake) Next, fantastic calamari!! Delicious fennel, peppers, and tequila aioli? Perfect! We then lucked out with the beet salad! Seasonal greens, yellow beets, walnuts, and a wonderful glaze over the top! However, the best part of the meal was the New York steak! The crispy brussels sprouts appetizer with mayo-Siracha was so delicious! I came here because I heard they had The Impossible burger and let's say I was not disappointed! This plant-based burger was served on a hummus spread pretzel bun. My 13 year old was craving a grilled cheese sandwich and they have served it well as she ate it all up! We decided to stay the night in SF instead of fight Friday traffic to the giants game. We checked into the hotel and saw this gorgeous bar... so we dropped our stuff in our room and headed down. The beer was amazing so many great selections on tap and a great wine selection as well. We had the fried calamari with aioli sauce no it was amazing!! Environment: clean and welcoming. It is there is a good amount of space in the restaurant. On occasion such as specific game nights it gets a little crowded. I've never seen it packed with people. For this area the food is standard. Pros: Good service. Drinks: Mai tai, mule, and margarita was good for the area. Appetizers: calamari, chicken wings, guacamole and chips, fried string beans. It's a simple Friday after work evening and was thinking about seeing what's close by home in SSF for a quick bite. I yelped this location and saw that they had a good average rating reviews and decided to avoid the madness of traffic on Fridays, just give it a try. Our appetizer was a tuna poke with wonton chips. The chips looks a bit oily and the avocado served with the tuna was a bit on the dark side. I normally do not want to give the servers the impression that I would want to ask them to resubmit another fresh order for me, but it's just a tryout, I'll let it slide. We ordered a crab avocado salad and that avocado was much better, not dark, but just only half size.. not a full size avocado. Then we had a White caps burger... it was decent based on what's requested, medium rare... It was a bit juicy and tender at least. Overall - it was okay experience on the dining experience. This place exceeded my expectations. While described as "divey", it actually looks more "rustic" or "mom & pop". Food was not the traditional Italian you'd find in Italy, but it was pretty good and a great value for the money. Selection of alcoholic beverages was decent. They are open late which is a plus. My favorite place in Brisbane for dinner. My office comes here for their happy hour. Which I segue into my dinner. I typically get the kale salad with chicken and the Asian style chicken wings. I live near this place, in Brisbane, and have been here often enough to know to avoid it. Options are extremely limited after 9pm in this area, but keep looking you are better off driving into the city. I just feel like the people making the food give the absolute bare minimum of effort. The burgers are never cooked to proper temperature no matter what I request they always come medium well. And bland, no seasoning whatsoever. The calamari is soggy, not crispy. The tuna appetizer I got last time was a disaster, tuna was old and gross and portions were ridiculously skimpy. A review on just the food. We had nothing to drink but water. Steak was soooo over cooked, when asked for medium rare. Boyfriend wasn't so thrilled with the club sandwich or calamari. We asked for a Cesar salad without chicken and that was alright. Later on for desert we got the bread pudding and cookie Sunday. The waiter had already took the menu so I wasn't able to verify till later they forgot the chocolate sauce. Boyfriend didn't like the bread pudding because it was filled with fruits and nuts which was not stated in the menu. Im impressed. I was scared this would just be restaraunt food but it was very good. First thing walking in we had no wait, the host was funny and laughed with us all the way to the table. I had the salmon niçoise and a barrel aged margarita. The margarita was delicious and smooth, almost earthy. The salmon was flaky and moist with perfectly crisp edges and the fingerlings were cooked to perfection as well with spring mix salad and kalamata olives and a balsamic dressing. I dont usually prefer kalamata or balsamic glaze but was surprised at how lovely the flavors blended together. Gerardo was so pleasant and fast and made sure we had everything we needed. And made a few jokes as well which made us very happy and comfortable. We had ordered edamame as a start and did not recieve it but when we brought it to their attention they made it right. After a long day of work it was nice to come here and relax. It was nice to be treated by the nice hostess, Tina, who was very accommodating with my family's crazy seating requests. After we were situated we were quickly welcomed by Jose who suggested the Sonma Curtre wine and a pint of Devil's Canyon beer. We we had never tried either and me and my party were very happy. We ordered the calamari, the heap OK, and the Chris calamari for appetizers. For entrées we have the lamb the Berkeley fettuccine and the screaming fillet. The ahi poke would have exceeded my expectations if it had an Asian-esque influence. The chicken noodle soup was obviously from a can but hey! thats okay! it brought me back to my childhood. On the other hand, the grilled chicken Caesar salad transcended my assumption about a restaurant in the lobby of a Double Tree Hotel. The balance of crunch, cream, and freshness took a vacation inside of my mouth for about 7 minutes. After being seated Luzon came up and greeted us and suggested that we start off with the calamari, however I am allergic to seafood so we opted for the Guacamole .
