But Whimpy's burgers for some reason, to me, hits fresher! They have a similar "animal style" option for their burgers called "bandit style", which almost powers up the burger in a way. I always get mine this way, minus the jalapeños. Unless of course you're into your burger having little spicy surprise bits, then by all means leave them in! The customer service on this particular visit was outstanding. Someone was already at the register waiting to greet us and take our order. It was an average slow early afternoon Saturday. The establishment was clean and cool, thank goodness, since it was 90 degrees out. I got a traditional whimpys burger combo and subbed tater tots for fries. My husband got a sailer sub sandwich, which was almost like a double cheeseburger but on a brioche looking toe sub bun. Very yummi! We got sides of ranch, which has a nice creamy almost buttermilk style taste. And whimpys sauce, which I can only describe as a mixture of tartar sauce and thousand island. They have a variety of other sandwich styles and side options so what we you choose you can't go wrong! Sometimes they have meal deals that include free ice cream. I was told I could not order food, which was confusing considering they close at 10 PM. If employees want to stop serving that early, maybe update the closing hours to 9:30 instead. The speaker system is outdated and so staticky you can barely hear anything being said. The employee taking orders was rude from the start and acted irritated when I had to ask multiple times what she said because she was mumbling. I ordered a Reese's cyclone and was handed an Oreo cyclone instead. When I politely explained it was the wrong order, I was basically told I would have to take it regardless of it not being what I ordered. When I pushed back, things got unnecessarily escalated instead of being handled with simple customer service. Bringing over two other employees while remaking my cyclone made the situation even more uncomfortable and completely unnecessary. After all the drama and attitude over such a simple mistake, I honestly didn't even feel comfortable eating it and ended up throwing it away because I wasn't sure if it had been tampered with. If you don't like your job, maybe you shouldn't work there, or at least take some customer service training. A little kindness and professionalism go a long way. Save yourself the trouble and drive a few extra miles to Exeter for Frosty King or Burger Express. Much friendlier employees and far better service.
