Simple replacement of my power supply resulted in a nonfunctional desktop (burned out motherboard, disconnected video card fans not hooked up again). the result was a rebuild from the board up. They said they tested the unit prior to allowing pickup, but this was not the case. I took it to another shop to confirm damage. It looks like what was once a very good place is now one to stay away from.... Should have done it myself, but was pressed for time and they were my go-to guys two years ago and before. Have now tried Geeks are Us on 54th and 184 and will do a review of their work once I have some experience with them. I don't see many up-to-date reviews from many of you with desktop issues. I would encourage you to post both good and bad and let the rest of us know where the good guys are...

Then tell you that they had to diagnose (to find the same issue you told them was the issue). They will then ask to be paid for their time without asking or advising that they are going to do this. In my case they then said the new Ipad is garbage if not fixed but they would offer to buy it off me. I told them not interested in selling it, just want it fixed but not paying 3x the quote so no thanks. -They they say you need to pay for their time. How long does it take to tell that the issue is not a plug stuck in the charger port (as some how misunderstood by their intake staff. .(if its more than 3 seconds then your in the wrong business. Can you Imagine going to a Tire repair shop to get a quote on a new tire , receive a quote, and then having them say, the tire replacement is now 3x and because we had make sure you need a new tire pay us $50... that is what these guys do. Only after calling them out on their B.S - The manager says he is going to review the store footage, basically suggesting i'm lying. Not how to do business! Try calling first if your having to start "initial investigation" because your employee miss understood what the obvious issue was!
