What the experience was was so much better than expected! For only $15 I, as a busy working mom, could sit back and enjoy as my toddler tapped her toes to original music, charming, age-appropriate music, and kind-hearted story telling where the kids were able to move around in the park, meet 6 different cast members, and participate in an interactive story. I was particularly impressed with the warmth and kindness that all of the actors and actresses had towards the children. They made a point to smile and interact with every child there and had a spirit of friendship about them. In all the disfunction of LA it was so nice to see nice people who had come together to make kids happy. Definitely dress up as your favorite knight, dragon, Mermaid, or fairy etc. Both Kids and adults do! I saw the "Ruler of the Forest" show. I'm looking forward to taking my family and other mommy friends back to see their others. You can't beat it for an hour of immersive entertainment for younger kids.

There were four performers in our show, including Debbie as Auntie Angelique who greets the guests and introduces them into the world with a warm presence. Debbie wrote the show and has been running this nonprofit for 19 years. They perform the show in outdoor venues where they can move from area to area as they "discover" new faery characters. The actors were lovely and so were the songs. At the end they do a meet and greet and chat with the kids. It was truly so sweet and enchanting. We went to the show at Kindred Spirits Care Farm, which is a rescue sanctuary in Chatsworth. I believe the ticket price there is a little higher as it includes entrance to the farm. I highly recommend and we plan to go again sometime, as they have four stories. They also do birthday parties!

TL;DR you're not going to find a better entertainment option for your wedding than The Moon Units!…read more I always wanted a band for my wedding, but wasn't sure it would work out with our budget. Thankfully, Dylan and his team were able to deliver an incredible product at a comfortable price point. They offer different packages and even with the most affordable one with the fewest band members we didn't feel like we missed anything! They are such talented musicians and the catalog that they offer is unparalleled. Perhaps the greatest perk is that most weddings end up adding three songs to their repertoire. This is because the standard package includes them learning three songs of your choice to make your evening bespoke. So just in the time between booking them and your big day, there's a good chance one of your favorite songs will be added to their catalog! This thankfully happened for us. We really wanted a Vampire Weekend song and someone added one of our favorite bangers: Unbelievers! And we only had 6 months between signing our deal and our December nuptials.  If you're a control freak/music nut like me, then you'll also appreciate how they allow you tweak their set list to your liking. My only regret is that they had to cut a few of my favorite tracks because speeches and other parts of our evening ran long. I'm grateful they played one of the cut songs during sound check and I got to appreciate it just before first look.  There were only a tiny number of decisions in wedding planning that were as simple and straightforward as hiring The Moon Units. I think you'll find the same experience. I can't imagine having anyone else provide the soundtrack to our special day. And the icing on the wedding cake: we have a board recording and can relive every note from their marvelous three hours set. What a gift.  They make me want to become a professional wedding crasher so I can hear them perform on the regular!

Their communications and planning with us (primarily through Dylan) were prompt, organized, and professional. On the day of the wedding, their performance at the ceremony and the reception were fantastic and added such a special atmosphere to the event. We're so glad we went with the Moon Units!
