What the experience was was so much better than expected! For only $15 I, as a busy working mom, could sit back and enjoy as my toddler tapped her toes to original music, charming, age-appropriate music, and kind-hearted story telling where the kids were able to move around in the park, meet 6 different cast members, and participate in an interactive story. I was particularly impressed with the warmth and kindness that all of the actors and actresses had towards the children. They made a point to smile and interact with every child there and had a spirit of friendship about them. In all the disfunction of LA it was so nice to see nice people who had come together to make kids happy. Definitely dress up as your favorite knight, dragon, Mermaid, or fairy etc. Both Kids and adults do! I saw the "Ruler of the Forest" show. I'm looking forward to taking my family and other mommy friends back to see their others. You can't beat it for an hour of immersive entertainment for younger kids.

Anyway, I say this just to add legitimacy to my review. Not a stage Dad or Mom - just a working actor whose kid goes there and gets better and better each week. David Gray is the real deal and so are his teachers.

He is very easy to talk to and is a great communicator with the talent and their families. This is a newer location just across from Porto's bakery, south of the new "mini" target and The Organic Nail House. If you are a parent you can keep yourself busy for a few hours while your child is in class developing the proper skills to become a successful actor. The line up of former students here will blow your doors off!!! Starting with Ariel Winters, from ABC's Modern family. My daughter had booked many gigs over the years thanks to David and his entire staff. Check out the website for class schedules. They offer: scene study, cold reading, improv, voice overs and private coaching/self taping for all ages starting at 4. They also offer film camp for summer break and during the year for holiday breaks. I highly recommend auditing a class with your child or for yourself. *Please contact the office for pricing, schedule times and availability. *Contact for age appropriate classes

YA'LL. If you are looking for a wedding band that will completely blow you and your guests away,…read morestop scrolling and hire The Moon Units right now! They were hands-down the absolute highlight of our entire wedding, and honestly, we still talk about them at least once a week (even 1.5 months later!). As an ex movement and music teacher who deeply loves and respects music as a whole, I am so thankful that The Moon Units were the band chosen for our wedding... From the very first point of contact, our experience with them was nothing short of magical. Our initial contact was with Dylan, the band leader, and he set the gold standard for the whole process. He was super warm, communicative, friendly, and wildly talented. Not only was he incredible to work with, but huge shoutout to Dylan for being an amazing MC too! He was so interactive with the guests, took the time to study the pronunciations of the last names of our honored guests, and totally did so great with literally everything, liiiiiiterally! The best part is that the entire band matched that exact energy. You can instantly tell that every single member genuinely loves their craft and takes their job seriously. My husband and I are an eclectic pair with a wide-ranging music taste, covering all kinds of genres. The Moon Units didn't just accommodate our diverse playlist, they went above and beyond to make it uniquely ours. They even learned brand-new songs just for our special moments, including our first dance to Herb Alpert's "Ladyfingers"! Hearing them perform it live for our special moment was breathtaking!!! (We also have to give a massive shoutout to the male lead singer, Jamey! You are so talented, not only with your incredible voice, but also with your amazing trumpet playing! We are so thankful that you learned that special trumpet piece just for our first dance!) My mouth was just opened in awe listening, while dancing in front of 170+ guests... like this ":0". Can we please also talk about Sophie, our phenomenal lead female singer? WOW. GIRL, YOU ARE A QUEEN! Your voice is so unbelievably beautiful, powerful, and strong. Thank you so much for showing little girls everywhere that they can be fierce, talented performers if they want to share their art with the world. You completely brought the house down! My nieces were so amazed and they LOVED seeing you rock it alongside with the bandmates! We also deeply appreciated how interactive the band members were overall. They didn't just stay up on stage, they came right down to the dance floor to dance and mingle with the guests, and everybody was soooo happy! The energy in the room was electric. In fact, we have friends who are such big-time fans now that they asked if the band sells merch, just so they can buy a moon tie to match the band too! As a couple with family and friends from all different backgrounds, representation and identity are deeply important to us. We loved how diverse the group is... it made the celebration feel even more inclusive, welcoming, and vibrant for everyone in attendance. My family members who flew in from Vietnam to attend were so amazed since this was their first time seeing a band play live in Los Angeles, California! Our friends and families are still raving about how amazing the band was. Our next life goal is definitely to save up so we can hire The Moon Units to throw a live karaoke party for our loved ones. Greatest gratitude, and thank you, Moon Units, for making our wedding day a dream come true. We give you our highest possible recommendation!!! A+++++ and rock on!

TL;DR you're not going to find a better entertainment option for your wedding than The Moon Units!…read more I always wanted a band for my wedding, but wasn't sure it would work out with our budget. Thankfully, Dylan and his team were able to deliver an incredible product at a comfortable price point. They offer different packages and even with the most affordable one with the fewest band members we didn't feel like we missed anything! They are such talented musicians and the catalog that they offer is unparalleled. Perhaps the greatest perk is that most weddings end up adding three songs to their repertoire. This is because the standard package includes them learning three songs of your choice to make your evening bespoke. So just in the time between booking them and your big day, there's a good chance one of your favorite songs will be added to their catalog! This thankfully happened for us. We really wanted a Vampire Weekend song and someone added one of our favorite bangers: Unbelievers! And we only had 6 months between signing our deal and our December nuptials.  If you're a control freak/music nut like me, then you'll also appreciate how they allow you tweak their set list to your liking. My only regret is that they had to cut a few of my favorite tracks because speeches and other parts of our evening ran long. I'm grateful they played one of the cut songs during sound check and I got to appreciate it just before first look.  There were only a tiny number of decisions in wedding planning that were as simple and straightforward as hiring The Moon Units. I think you'll find the same experience. I can't imagine having anyone else provide the soundtrack to our special day. And the icing on the wedding cake: we have a board recording and can relive every note from their marvelous three hours set. What a gift.  They make me want to become a professional wedding crasher so I can hear them perform on the regular!
