I've been living here for a year and a half I have neglected to find a dentist... So I finally found this dentist office which is close to my apartment. I was skeptical because of some of the reviews but I figured I'd give it a try anyway. I went for the first time last week and it was a relatively good experience. As much as it can be at the dentist LOL. I made an appointment to follow up Today. I left work early for my 3 o'clock appointment only to find out that it had been mistakenly scheduled for Wednesday at 3 o'clock. Needless to say I was not happy. However there seemed to be a light at the end of the tunnel. They told me that their 4 o'clock appointment had not confirmed the appointment despite sending several text messages. So, I waited there for over an hour. About five minutes before 4 o'clock they said if she doesn't show up you can have her appointment. Well needless to say she showed up at 4:07 and took her in instead of me. I don't like to waste my time and I abhor when other people do! I told them to give me my dental records and cancel my future appointments! I was very upset that they wouldn't accommodate me even after I waited there. Smh read more

BEWARE!!! The level of unprofessionalism and blatant disregard for customer service in this office is beyond belief. During one of my FIRST visits to the office, the front desk staff forced me to sit and wait for over two hours before informing me that the doctor would not be in the office that day, even though I had a scheduled appointment. To be clear, if I had not asked the woman at the front desk for an update on my appointment, I likely would've been forced to wait for much longer. Then, after paying the $1,000 deposit, I was told that my implants were delayed, but I received absolutely ZERO communication about when they would be delivered. After waiting for several weeks, I decided to go into the office spontaneously to demand an update. Only then were my implants somehow miraculously delivered just before my unscheduled arrival. I have had many experiences with dentist throughout my life d/t having braces as a kid and later multiple fillings in college. My experience at white plains dental was a living nightmare. The absolute worst experience that I have ever encountered with a dental office. I have had difficulties with EVERY aspect of this practice. The call center scheduling, the front desk staff, and the two dentist that I talked to were all rude dismissive and lacked general communication skills. This office has three providers, two of which I would not recommend anyone to see Ardalan Esakarian (Dr. Ardy) and Eric Poznyansky (Dr. Eric)  1) On three separate occasions I called to make an appointment or scheduled it in person, regardless, when I arrived I was told I did not have an appointment and I must be mistaken. This is extremely frustrating and unprofessional.  2) After Dr. Ardalan Esakarian filled my cavities one of them fell out completely after 6 weeks 3) I have lasting numbing effects in my jaw and lip from the anesthesia performed by Dr. Ardalan Esakarian 4) Dr. Eric Poznyansky was extremely condescending, inconsiderate, and dismissive to my concerns. Repeatedly called me argumentative while persistently asking me questions. And refused to treat me. 5) They did not complete the job they were paid to do. read more

I have noticed several reviews highlighting issues of unprofessionalism and inconsistency, which I personally experience nit once but many times and the , recently called your office on December 10,2025 between 5-5:30 and the front desk services was really unprofessional that can damage your office reputations . I was a former patient but decided to seek care elsewhere due to the unprofessionalism and impatient of the receptionist and now I am pulling my Son and husband from your service. This used to be my family dentist for 30+ years, however, once the business changed hands, everything changed for the worse. While Dr. Eric infused money in the latest gadgets and equipment, and claims he is part of a "teaching" dentistry, there are new people working here from the front desk to the hygienist every time I visit. My last visit was also mis-scheduled on their part, so after my cleaning, I was not even seen by the dentist (who left the office before my check-up was complete). I write today because I have had the worst email exchange with Mel (who I believe is now at the front office). Instead of a call, or an invoice, I was emailed an "outstanding balance" email fraught with mistakes. The office did not have my new insurance information (obtained in Sept. 2023) and was billing my old insurance. Never once did Mel pick up a phone to inquire about my coverage, but continued to demand payment. My line of work requires me to travel frequently, and as a result I've neglected going to get my teeth cleaned for some time, and I was a little worried what sort of procedures I would need to have done my first trip back. I went to Dr. P by recommendation, and he was very empathetic and accommodating to my situation and took great care during my cleaning. He pointed out some typical dental issues other hygienists have told me in the past, like bruxism, coffee stains, not brushing my back teeth (I point this out because I was made a little suspicious about some of the more recent reviews) and gave me some practical tips to mitigate future risks. I like that he gave me some tips for dental hygiene while traveling: very knowledgeable. In, out, easy. I'm happy with this experience, I'd come back my next New York trip. DO NOT COME HERE FOR PEDIATRIC DENTAL TREATMENT. I am appalled by the unprofessional manner in which my daughter and I have been treated by White Plains Dental. For starters, the one pediatric dentist they have on hand, Dr. Madhu, keeps odd hours that are not convenient for children, which is really silly considering she leaves 90% of the visit to the hygienist. (She doesn't start until 12pm, so for most appointments, I was forced to pull my daughter out of daycare in the middle of the day and then bring her back for the rest of the afternoon. It really messed with our schedules.) But what finally drove me to take my daughter elsewhere was how, without fail, White Plains Dental would always call me the day before our appointment to cancel, citing excuses that usually had to to with Dr. Madhu's lack of availability. When I confronted them about this ongoing problem and demanded solutions instead of apologies, the receptionist hung up on me. We now attend a pediatric dental office where we are treated with respect, professionalism and kindness. Do not waste your time getting your children treated by White Plains Dental. They deserve much better than what this office provides. Please be advised that there are many dedicated pediatric dental offices in the area which are far better suited than the setup White Plains Dental has for children. I'd also like to add that White Plains Dental was once the location of my father's dental practice. Avoid!! Going to look into taking legal action against them. Do not believe the 5 stars reviews. They will push services or products on you every single visit. They will lie about the condition of your teeth in order to suck more money out of your own pocket and your insurance. Scammed me into getting useless service a couple of times. I started getting suspicious after a few times and eventually busted their scam. They lied to me by saying that I needed deep cleaning. Marked almost every tooth for cleaning, yet insurance declined the claim after reviewing X-Rays (insurance declined EVERY single tooth that supposedly had damaged gums. When i confronted them, the receptionist--not even the doctor, told me that i supposedly have periodontal disease and insurance just doesnt want to pay up. BS. My gums are healthy, they never bleed, and do not recede at all. In addition, insurance would not risk my health and decline every single tooth that was marked for deep cleaning if there was ever a need for it. Was the last straw when they charged me $90 for doing absolutely nothing. Hygienist told me that after cleaning, gum under a tooth has pulled back and needed to heal, and for that, she needed to spray a special spray (probably was Arestin - they push it onto you everytime you come there). Of course, i agreed to it, because i followed the recommendation of a professional and my health was the priority, there was simply no time to think about it at the time. She brings the spray bottle into my mouth and does absolutely NOTHING, there was no feeling of anything touching my gums, no spray, no taste, not even breeze of air. I am 100% positive that the doctor, older hygenist and the receptionist run the scam. The receptionist definitely knows what's going, as she is always the one offering these services and always the one feeding you BS when you try to refuse the service or have a complaint about it. I agree with one of the previous comments this Dental office is horrible. I wish I read the reviews before coming hear. They do their best to get your money. They have over charged me twice even when I told them I paid and took weeks to give me a refun, I had to be very persistent. Failed to give my insurance the information they want, which I ended up sending myself after I found out a month later that they still hadn't. I was numbed for sutures just for the dentist to decide not to give me sutures seconds later. There are many other dentists in the surrounding area do your research first. UNPROFESSIONAL BAD EXPERIENCE, DO NOT COME HERE! I WAS MISLED AND WAS WORKED ON FOR AN HOUR ONLY TO BE TOLD THE MEDICINE I CAME IN TO RECEIVE WAS LOCKED IN A CABINET. I came in for a visit today, was numbed and prepped to receive medication for my gums, and then had two very unprofessional things happen. 1-During my previous visit, I carefully reviewed my out of pocket expenses and was explicitly reassured that what I was paying for that day was the medicine which would cover that visit and the following visit (one visit was to take care of the left side, the other for the right). I was very careful and explicit in my conversation with the front desk as this was a significant out-of-pocket expense that insurance does not cover. After being numbed and prepped today, the hygenist informs me that I'll have to pay for the round of medicine received today, completely contradicting the converation I had with the front desk. I have dealt with enough doctor's offices to make sure I have an understanding of my out of pocket costs up front, and there was nothing said that left anything up for interpretation. 2-The hygenist then tells me that the cabinet with the medicine is locked and cannot be accessed because the person with the key had left, AFTER INJECTING ME WITH NOVACAINE AND DOING 1HR OF WORK ON MY MOUTH TO PREPARE TO ADMINISTER THE MEDICINE! White Plains Dental was recommended by a coworker, so I decided to check it out. The office was clean, modern, and the staff was friendly. After my cleaning, Dr. Eric performed a checkup and answered all of my questions and concerns about things brought up by other dentists. I thought the office needed a major overhaul and cleaning and the Doctor could use a nicer personality. I felt he was very professional, but looking to make money. I went here a few times and saw Dr. P. The hygienist who initially worked here was very nice but after she retired she was replaced with someone unfriendly and judgmental. The receptionist here sold me an elective procedure (Arestin placement) and did not disclose that there was an out of pocket expense until the day of service. On that day I expressed reluctance to go forward and she then explained the expense covered 43 sites that NEEDED treatment. When it turned out that only 6-8 sites were actually treated I was told that the cost was based on ANY work done in 4 quadrants of the mouth. When it was found that only three quadrants were treated I was told that the cost covered future Arestin placements (that I will likely not need). When that didn't sway me I was told that this was a flat fee charged by the insurance company regardless of quadrant or number of tooth sites -_-. Anyway you look at it it's theft. I could have foregone the "recommended" but NOT required procedure and saved myself $200. Unfortunately I no longer trust this office in terms of quoting out of pocket expense and patient financial responsibility. This bodes worse for the dentist and hygienist, who I have no issue with, as they will likely lose my business due to an unethical receptionist who will seemingly say anything to make the office an extra dollar. read more

This office does not seem cater to Medicaid recipients, or maybe it was because I was African American. I spent over three days going back and forth to this office and in between trips having my insurance company (Fidelis Care) call them to clear up any issues. The receptionist spoke to the insurance representative a few times and supposedly everything was squared away. The day of my appointment the receptionist called to change my appointment time 10 minutes before I was supposed to be there and then waited until I got there to come up with a new issue which I have never heard before, that they needed to get authorization from my insurance company for my appointment, which was just a consultation. The receptionist could have gotten that done the times that she was on the phone with the insurance company because she was the one that suggested the consultation to me! I left their office to contact the insurance company and when I called the receptionist back at White Plains Dental she hung up on me. Absolutely unprofessional. I went back to the office, the receptionist had gone home, the other receptionist tried to act like she didn't know anything and the dentist that I did talk to acted like I was impeding on his time and work, even though this was only 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment, because I only live 2 blocks from the office.
