I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank Dr. John Castenaro and his entire staff for the care and kindness they showed me during my recent visits. I'll admit, it took me quite a bit of courage to walk through their doors. I've had a longstanding fear of the dentist, and because of that, I had put off visits for far too long. So I started with a much overdue cleaning. From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel completely at ease. There was no judgment--only understanding, patience, and genuine compassion. Maureen at the front desk was was upbeat and friendly. I truly appreciate all the behind-the-scenes work she does as well--handling paperwork, navigating insurance, and coordinating appointments so smoothly. It made the entire experience feel easy and stress-free. The hygienist was gentle, patient, and reassuring throughout the entire process, taking the time to explain everything and make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Castenaro and his staff created such a welcoming and supportive environment that it truly changed my perspective. What I had built up in my mind as something stressful and intimidating became a positive and reassuring experience. That means more to me than I can easily put into words. I'm also incredibly grateful for the work Dr John did on my teeth. For the first time in a very long while, I'm no longer hiding my smile--and that has made such a difference in my confidence and day-to-day life. He truly is the tooth whisperer! My children have always had great experiences with Castenaro Dental and now I can honestly say I understand why. I'm so grateful I found the courage to come in, and even more grateful that I did so with a team like this. Literally the most professional courteous and intelligent doctors in the dental industry that there is to offer . Dr. John Castanaro has helped me during the holidays when no other office was able to offer any type of concierge service and in addition he utilizes the latest technology. I have had a severe issues with my teeth for years however when visiting the office within three hours Dr. Castanaro along with his staff was able to give me an amazing smile makeover . I have also had regular services done at the office including teeth cleanings teeth whitening and had all of my silver fillings replaced there was no pain along with no downtime and follow up phone calls from both the staff along with Dr. Castanaro himself . Living in Greenwich Connecticut I have no problem driving 20 minutes where I know I will be handled with not only professionalism but with care and dignity as well . Dr. Castanaro has handled all of my procedures that I needed with that utmost care and compassion that anybody going through any type of dental work or procedure could expect and has surpassed that beyond measures . The devotion that the staff along with Dr. Castanaro gives surpasses any other Doctor I have met. If I could give Dr. John and his staff 10 stars I would! Living in Florida, I received recommendations from family and friends in NY to go see Dr. John to complete an extensive amount of work I needed done. After a few very helpful phone calls with the wonderful receptionists Maureen and Stephanie, who worked to get everything organized before I arrived I was able to book my ticket to fly up and finally get all of my work taken care of. I was a bit nervous leading up to my first appointment, but from the moment I walked into the office I was greeted with a warm welcome and reassured that everything would be ok and well taken care of. Indeed it was! Dr. John was excellent, he throughly explained what I needed to have done and it was all pain free. My to do list of work was long but Dr. John took care of it all, from cavities, to a crown, to completion of an implant. He is incredible and so knowledgable. He was even able to make a tooth for my crown in the office and fill cavities with a laser, making my appointments quick and painless. I could not be more thankful for Dr. John and his kindness, taking me on as a patient, his incredible work, and professionalism. If you are looking for a dentist look no further, just call Dr. John's office. Maureen and Stephanie will get you all taken care of too! Being British we don't really care much about our teeth unless something hurts or is wrong. Moving back to NY I decided that after 10 years it would be good to go see a Dentist. I was recommended Castanaro Dental by family friends and I couldn't be happier with them. I was nervous at first with what may be going on in my mouth that may need to be taken care of. They ran an X-ray and took a look in my mouth and noticed I had 3 small cavities. This was going to be the first work I had even had done on my teeth. Dr John said that we would sort out one of the cavities now and do the rest in a few weeks (as I was going on vacation). Now this was not like any dental experience I have ever heard of. There were no needles...no Novocain... and no pain. At Castanaro Dental they use lasers to remove the cavity. I couldn't believe how simple and painless it was. He put in the filling and got me to check if he needed to remove any excess and ensured I was happy with the fit before I left. I have now been back to finish the rest of my cavities and again painless and simple. The staff are also super friendly and really make you feel at ease. I would highly recommend Castanaro Dental if you are looking for a new dentist or even if you just need something taken care of. No more horror stories of trips to the dentist needed. I will be looking forward to my next trip to them even if it is only for my 6 month cleaning. read more

I went to see Dr Castanaro for the first time (Dec 2018) to get his advice on a chip on a crown I had on a mollar in the back of my mouth. He buffed and smoothed the chipped crown in 10 minutes and the job was done. This happy ending is noteworthy in light of the advice I received from the 2 other dentists I sought out in my quest to fix this tooth. Both dentists wanted to replace the crown, a fix that Dr Castanaro also brought to my attention. But neither of the 2 dentists offered me the buffing solution that Dr Castanaro opted for. While the cosmetic (ceramic) portion of my crown is now smoothed down a bit and admittedly flawed, the metal crown and the mollar it's sealed onto is perfectly sound and functional. Dr Castanaro did not hide this workaround solution from me, which saved me at least $1,200. This is a professional so confident in his practice in dentistry that he has no problem placing the interests of his patients over and above his bottom line. It would be a good idea to seek out this resourceful dentist for a second opinion for those patients who are already have their favorite dentist. I say this because Dr Castanaro is benevolent, too, as he didn't charge me a dime for the buffing. Kudos go out to Maureen and Stephanie also. These are the friendly ladies at the reception desk who make you feel at home and appreciated as soon as you enter the office. read more

I was referred by a friend who raved about her dentist Dr. John Castanaro. I kept saying to myself who really likes their dentist? My teeth were a mess and I avoided dealing with it for a while. I had a temporary crown put in several years ago and it fell out. It felt like there was a hole there and I was convinced my tooth was destroyed. Needless to say I was anxious and in discomfort by the time I finally made an appointment. When I arrived I was greeted by Stephanie who made me feel welcomed. I then met with Dr. Castanaro he was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and gentle. When I say gentle I mean gentle I felt nothing! It was the first time I wasn't squirming in the chair wishing it was over like I had been with other dentists. He took the time to explain the process and used the latest technology to put me at ease. He was able to save my tooth which allowed me to smile again. I can now rave about him too. He is the BEST dentist I've ever had! He gets extra points for accommodating my schedule and having me out of the office in under an hour. Dr. John Castanaro has been seeing my mother for the past year and now I have recently started going. My mother has had very complicated problems with her gum and teeth for year and last year after visiting several Dentists Dr. Castanaro was able to correct all of her issues . She has had implants put in along with porcelain brides in her mouth and everything has been extreme successful. I have had easier procedures done such as fillings, Cleaning's and also a bridge but every time has been a very easy transition along with transformation and no pain. It is such a relief to finally go to someone who exceeds your expectations and follows up to make sure everything is ok. I have actually had to have an emergency appointment and Dr. Castanaro insisted on getting me in immediately. I highly recommend going to this practice everyone including hygienists and billing staff has always been extremely friendly professional and courteous. My tooth chipped as I was transitioning from one dentist to another. My mother in law recommended Dr. Castanaro. The first visit was nothing short of amazing. I was highly impressed with the advanced technology in the office. XRays are seamless and automatically transfer to a TV. It optimizes efficiency and time. Dr. Castanaro's knowledge and temperament eased my anxiety. In any event, he recognized what needed to be done and took care of it right on the spot. Fast forward to a few years later where I was experiencing sensitivity/pain in my tooth. He accommodated me and diagnosed my situation immediately and between him and his amazing staff, they were instrumental in coordinating the next step for relief. Again a success.... I had some [very] bad experiences with dentists in the past and the thought alone of going to the dentist was frightening. One evening several years ago, I had a dental emergency and without hestitation John meet me at his office. He listened (without judgment), discussed my options and reassured me that all would be ok. His relaxed demeanor and sense of humor helped calm my nerves. After super accomodating early morning, evening and even Sunday apointments my smile was perfect! Easily the best dental experience I've ever had. Dr Castanaro and his staff are both efficient, professional and down to earth. And you're made to feel at ease from the moment you make your appointment. Having had extensive surgeries of my teeth and mouth in the past and being treated by the likes of such dentist as Dr. Miller of Hartsdale, it was going to be hard to impress me especially when I came to technology. But truth be told, I was blown away! Being in need of a new extensive bridge I was very much concerned with the fit and finish of the final product. Dr. Castanaro used a multi tiered 3D printer system that was something straight out of a Sci-fi movie. A few pictures with the photo wand, a couple of modifications on the screen and the system just took it from there! I was astounded at the speed and precision the 3D printer had created my teeth. And in the matter of minutes, my new teeth were in and I was out the door. A fantastic experience and I would never run the risk of going to any other dentist ever again. Thanks Doc! read more

Dr. John Castanaro is by far the best dentist! He always ensures you are comfortable and at ease before starting any work. Dr. Castanaro has such a strong rapport with all of his patients and I can definitely say I trust him with my life - aka my mouth. He has saved me time and time again, whether it has been replacing an awful metal crown from previous my dentist with a gorgeous porcelain fit, or molding a perfect filling to match what used to be a root canal, cracked tooth I damaged and had to have extracted. His high tech equipment includes 3D printing and laser, which is something you cannot find in any ordinary, dated dentist office. Dr. C most certainly is an expert in his field and I would not feel comfortable going to anyone else. I recently moved from Westchester to Manhattan, and I still travel back to Yonkers where I know I will receive the best, quality care. So I had an appointment yesterday with Dr. John Castanaro, for a filling and to repair a cracked a molar. I've been a patient of Dr. Castanaro now for over five years. What was supposed to be a routine filling, turned out to be better than any dental filling I have ever had before. If you're like me, then you hate the drilling, and you hate the needle for the Anesthesia. Dr. C introduced me to this new form of drilling a cavity without the drill and without the needle for the numbness, through a laser machine. It was the most quickest most painless most comfortable dental filling I have ever had. This new laser technology does away with the needles and with the fear of dental drilling. I required no anesthesia and the procedure was completely painless. I highly highly recommend Dr. Castanaro for this type of work and any other dental procedure that you may need. I've had many bad experiences with Dentist over a number of years where I started to do everything to temporarily numb toothaches and pains until it became so unbearable that temporary fixes were no longer an option. I then started to search for a dentist to avoid going to see my current Dentist and then I came across Dr. John Castanaro. When I walked into his office in tears (yes, real tears, I was in so much pain), Dr Castanaro assured me everything would be ok and after we start treating the root cause of my toothaches, I would be fine. Dr. Castanaro kept his word, even though it was a long road to repairing the damage that had been done due to my neglect. I've had fillings done, root canals and crowns. Dr. Castanaro performed these with such care that when it was done I was able to go back to work and carry on with the rest of my day. I had the best experience with Dr. Castanaro. He was so patient with me and he takes my insurance, UFT. He explained everything that he was going to do and then explained to me everything that he had done. First, I went in and I was told I had to have an extraction. I went to who he recommended on plan and all went well. I then went for a root canal by another doctor that Dr. Castanaro recommended on my plan. It was not at all painful. Next, I went in to have one filling fixed by Dr. Castanaro, and he ended up fixing another problem. He told me that I would be uncomfortable for a bit after the procedures but when the Novocaine wore off I was out of pain for the first time in three weeks! I have always dreaded going to the dentist but with Dr. Castanaro, I no longer dread it. I am going to be fitted with a crown in a couple of week which is only going to take 1 hour as they make the crown in the office. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this practice! read more

AMAZING!!!!!! I got my crown in just ONE hour! Talk about customer service. Besides that, they are the nicest, most caring and fun people. You will never have so much fun at a dentist's office - I promise. AND you actually see the dentist at the time of you appointment. No waiting. They respect you and your time. I've avoided the dentist for years, my anxiety is always sky high when I think about getting dental work done. I knew I had to face my fear when I began to have tooth pain. I scheduled my appointment with Dr. John Castanaro. Dr. Castanaro is a true professional, he made me feel at ease and explained the new and improved technology that went along with taking care of cavities. They no longer use drills!!! He told / showed me the new technology of lasers. What!! Painless!! No numbing !!!! As soon as Dr. Castanaro was finished I literally said "are you serious?? I love the dentist!" Going to the dentist has never been on the top of my list of things to do however I was in need of a dentist with easy hours and Dr. John Castanaro was recommended tome because he had Sunday hours. Well, that recommendation was almost as good as winning lotto. I have never had a dentist that was as caring, understanding, empathetic as Dr. John. There is however one more thing that makes him great........ his knowledge of dentistry and his willingness to help you any time you need it even if not a designated day or appointment. The staff is as awesome as he is and even though I haven't had the pleasure of having his dad do any dental work for me I can see he has all the same qualities. At the end of the day, Castanaro Dental will forever be my dental office and I recommend them whenever I have a chance. This is a dentist that you will be happy to have gone to. His professionalism as well as his great personality, will make you think why you didn't go to him sooner. He becomes more of a friend that a dentist. He was able to redo my husbands smile in less than 3 hours. Yes, you heard that. My husband did not have the best teeth and now he has a beautiful smile all because of Dr Castanaro. He has updated equipment that allows this to happen on the same day.
