Let me start by saying the front end staff were amazing, that's what got me in there. The doctor…read moreand the hygenist however engaged in very poor behavior, and I dealt with two different doctors for my daughters on two separate occasions 6 months apart. The first time I thought I was just over reacting and maybe give them another shot because I thought maybe it was just that particular doctor and we could get another one next time. The first appointment was for one of my daughters, just a basic check up but the dentist was very harsh and a bit unprofessional. The second appointment I actually booked for myself and my other daughter. This was a different doctor than the first visit. Both the doctor and especially the hygenist were rude. I explained to the hygenist that I was in discomfort and she blew me off and then proceeded to not finish my cleaning. The doctor who was dealing with my 6 year old daughter was rough and traumatized my daughter with how rough she was in her mouth. There wasn't anything nice after the waiting area except for the aesthetic of the place. I immediately changed dental offices and I felt compelled to do this review because it was insane how we were treated and there was no accountability on anyones part as professionals. I did mention how harsh they were being and did not engage in any bad behavior because this is how I handle any conflicts with "Professional Establishments" I expose the truth and the truth is they were less than sub par. I will be following up with the dental board and needless to say I will not be returning to Dr. Frankels office. I will update with the names of the individuals that I dealt with if I come across it but take this as a warning.

A brilliant, warm, and humble dentist. Dr. Vakharia is a problem solver who takes a conservative…read moreapproach to your dental health. He patiently explains what needs to be done, why, and always recommends the most conservative route. For example, I recently chipped my molar when chewing. I went to another dentist for help. This dentist tried to place a filling for my chipped molar, but said it was not possible. He told me I needed to see an endodontist to perform a root canal and place a crown on my molar. I visited Dr. Vakaria's office for a second opinion. He examined me and said that since I was not experiencing any pain in the tooth, he would not recommend a root canal. He said I probably would need a crown. However, if we are lucky, he said, I might be able to get by with just a filling. So, the same day, he successfully gave me a filling in the chipped molar that a fellow dentist said was not possible. Now, Dr. Vakharia made no promises about how long the filling would hold. He said that if the filling falls out, the next step is to put in a crown. I am cautiously optimistic. In a prior visit, I had another cracked tooth. He examined it and said it probably needs a crown, but he would try a filling. If we are lucky, he said, it might hold. This prior filing has worked for two years and counting! In short, Dr. Vakharia has patient interests as his North Star. He underpromises and overdelivers.

Since I was a kid, I never understood why people were scared of the dentist. I've been Dr. Vakharia's patient for as long as I can remember. As a dentist, he is super knowledgeable, but able to break down dental concepts in a way that normal people can understand them. He is also very gentle during procedures, and does great job at taking x-rays, cleaning teeth and diagnosing dental issues like cavities, crooked wisdom teeth, etc. He is the type of dentist who believes that if it ain't broke, don't fix it - He will not add on unnecessary procedures and costs - he will also have a discussion with you to make sure you are informed before you agree to a procedure. He is also fluent in Spanish, Gujarati and Hindi. He removed my mom's wisdom teeth, did my dad's root canal, and even did my dad's bridge (fake teeth after two of my dad's teeth fell out). Both of my parents also felt like he did a great job. Dr. Vakharia is kind, understanding, has a sense of humor, and just an overall great dentist to interact with. That said, he will also be gently honest if an issue needs to be addressed. I find his services worth traveling 1+ hour for. I recommended him to a friend, who has also now been his patient for years (and travels 45+ minutes to get to). If you are looking for a great dentist, I highly recommend Dr. Vakharia.

It has turned out to be a very rewarding experience. After a very thorough examination, it was determined that I needed a lot of work to be done to rectify all my problems, especially with my crowns. Dr. Dionne was so good in taking care of all my needs. After all my ex-rays, he patiently explained what he was going to do and the time invoved as well as what it would cost. I don't think I could have ever found a better dentist to take care of me. He was very knowledgeable, very skillful, patient with me and very understanding. I was slightly nervous, as my family has used the same dentist at home for over a decade, and love that practice. Vicki, (the office manager I believe) got me in to see Dr. Dionne the afternoon I called, and I could tell it wasn't an easy task. When I got into the hair with Dr D., he could immediately see that my problem was much worse than I thought. He patiently spent over two hours, temporarily fixing a tooth cracked all the way through, prepared the tooth for a crown, and took the mold and ordered the actual crown. He even took steps to send all of the info and pic's to my regular dentist back home so he would know what was going on. The entire office stayed well past their usual closing time, and everyone was patient, friendly and extremely professional. I don't know if they are taking new patients, but believe me, if you need a dentist in the north jersey area, please try Dr. Dionne.
