What a fantastic high end Chinese food restaurant. A very welcome option now in Tracy. Light and bright dining room, fast but not rushed dining experience. We will be back. Highly recommend the general Taos chicken and sizzling beef. read more

Happy to have a good Chinese restaurant in town. The food is tasty, fresh and the portions are generous. It is my understanding that the owners are new to the restaurant game and there's some kinks to work out. However the place has a nice ambiance it's clean and the chefs are dishing out some really delicious food. read more

Bland, the previous restaurant in this same spot was bland. The food is NOT cooked well, the flavors are all washed out, and there are NO aromatics at all. If they would use traditional methods of quick fry so the vegetables are vibrant and crisp, not overcook noodles & rice, reduce oil, use a LOT more seasoning & aromatics, and add plant-based meats (no, not just tofu) this place would take over a lot of the not-so-great similar options in Tracy but that could be said about any of their competitors. Tracy is in need of good traditional but HIGhly flavorful foods... read more

Ordered through DoorDash. The food was excellent. I loved the potstickers. The pork and shrimp house rice was delicious. My son enjoyed the pork buns. We will definitely be ordering from them again. read more

Review on the dim sum only (Lunch special is a great value and portion) $1-$2 more expensive than Dim Sum in the Bay Area Only 8 items on the menu. 3 stars because they rip you off with only 3 PIECES per item instead of 4. Never been to a dum sun place that gives you 3 pieces of har gao and xiu mai. Quality/flavor is great. Quantity is poor. read more

Beautiful restaurant it's clean the customers service was wonderful and omg the food was so good everything i order was amazing definitely will be coming back read more

Ok we've been here 4x since new owner and it never disappoints! Soooo good! Custard buns the best, and the green beans hit the spot! All the food we have ordered here have been delicious! Great service even when busy and friendly staff. Our new fave Chinese food in town! read more

This is a new restaurant so it was very busy and the food did take time. Good thing we were not in a hurry. The waitress was really sweet and recommended the riblet dumplings that were really good. The fried rice was different from any other restaurants I've been to so I will go back for this dish. read more

The taste of the food was good, friendly service and the restaurant was very nice inside. My only complaint is that we got the food to go, we ordered the food in person at the restaurant, immediately took the food home to eat and food the food to be cold. Normally food should be hot. Again, food had good taste and flavor, just not hot. That would be my only complaint. read more

We came to White Peony not knowing what to expect. We used to come here when it was Mandrin Villa and loved it. But now WOW White Peony is absolutely delicious everything made fresh to order and the staff was polite and served us well. You've got to check it out!! read more

RAVE:: THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD!!! This is the second time we came to dine at this restaurant. The staff is incredibly nice, the owner(I think) even came over and poured my hot tea when it was getting low and the food is amazing. There is not one thing on the menu I've had that wasn't delicious. The portions are big(2-3 people each entree) a little on the pricy side but if you are looking for a nice date night in Tracy that isn't Olive Garden or Texas Roadhouse this is the place to go. This place is always clean and up to the standard. !!!!!!White Peony definitely needs the attention of the residents of Tracy or we are going to lose this place to the basic not so good restaurants we've had in Tracy for years!!!! read more

Just intending to get mu shui to go ended up dining in. It's the old Mandarin Restaurant. So relaxing with soft music, bright, and modern. The service is excellent and the food is delicious read more

First time eating in the restaurant, it was worth doing so. The restaurant was clean and had a calming ambiance. The service was amazing, the food was hot and delicious. We had the orange chicken, fried rice, won tons, mince pork buns, Singapore noodles and miso soup. Everything was absolutely delicious. I will definitely return again. read more

Sadly they are gone. I miss the dim sum, now have to drive to Stockton or Modesto again.

This is by far the worse Chinese restaurant I've ever had. The pork in the sweet and sour pork was hard and tough to chew. Some of the rice on the fried rice were also hard and didn't taste very good. We didn't even touch the shumai because it looked like it shouldn't be eaten. The only thing we liked is the hot and sour soup but it's kinda hard to mess that one up. It's very overpriced for the quality of food they provide. I would never go to this restaurant again. We miss Mandarin Villa. Paid $58 for sorry-looking 3 piece shumai, inedible sweet and sour pork and fried rice and hot and sour soup. We ended up throwing most of it away. And no fortune cookie?? read more

Just straightforward facts. Pros: Nice atmosphere Nice employees Served water and tea right away Cons: Rest of the service is slow. Rice finally came after the rest of the entrees. Took a while to get us plates and utensils. Little communication between the servers. Food came out cold and even after requesting "reheating". Nothing changed. Saw an employee drinking wine on their shift. Had stomach issues afterward. Not sure why they had only one chef. read more

Food and staff were amazing here! Came specifically for the steamed sticky rice in lotus leaf from their dimsum menu as it sounded like a dish I had years ago at a different Chinese restaurant and have been craving ever since. Nearly cried tears of joy when they placed the dish on the table and saw it was exactly what I've been searching for! There was a little hiccup with one of the other dishes, but the staff was extremely sweet and professional in how they handled it. read more

Last time we were there we were seated and then waited for over 20 minutes for the server to take our order. Today we were seated and waited for over 25 minutes with no server coming to the table. We got up and left. We will not be back. read more

This relatively new restaurant is off to a good start. Remodeled interior is bright and cheery, there's understated jazz piano music in the background, and the menu is very promising. The two dishes we had on our first visit were excellent: The mu shu pork was beautifully prepared, tender and simply delicious (would have been perfect if the pancakes were not room temp). We also had something I haven't encountered before, ChongQing-style fish - dry-fried battered fillet pieces, very spicy (if unnecessarily piled high with dry chiles), but also very light and delicate, with an otherworldly combination of flavors and aromas. Service is very friendly and attentive. Beer and wine list is the only serious weakness and needs focused attention, but I imagine they will get it sorted out. We will definitely be back, soon. read more

White Peony - Finish all the food - Chinese Near Me - Tracy, California

Food was great and so was the service. They have done a great remodel of the former restaurant. We will come back again.

The Best Chinese food in Tracy!!! The owners are very nice as well! Support local businesses

Went there a few weeks ago, We waited a while for them to serve us but no problem . My wife and I ordered our meal and it took appx 25 minutes for the first dish to come and I didn't want to eat till my wife's dinner came so I didn't touch the food. We waited and waited and waited. After another 20 minutes I tried to get the waiters attention and she kept ignoring us till I called to her a little louder and said " excuse me miss...." She came over and I asked if the order had been placed and she said she would check, she went into the kitchen , came out and went about her business not even letting me know any updates. We waited another 10 minutes and just walked out. The food looked delicious but the waitress and new staff are enough to never go back there again. read more

The ambience was really nice despite an unruly customer. They've really decorated nicely. We tried the dim sum which was very tasty and not over salted. Hopefully they will expand their dim sum menu once they see the demand. We will def go back and try other dishes. Welcome to Tracy White Peony! read more

Food was served raw. Worst dim sum ever. You can get food poison. Poor customer service. Very expensive. This place will not last long. read more

The worst service ever. It took us almost two hours to get our food. There's hardly any people there and not busy. It's a Wednesday at 6pm. They also forgot two dishes that we were waiting on.for but it was in our bill. Will never come back here. Some people left before getting their food. It's a bad experience. read more

We came here for lunch. The place was very clean . The service was excellent. The food was AMAZING !!! Will be back for sure

I loved this restaurant when it was called Mandarin Villa. It had the best food and the best service. I met some friends there today for lunch now that it is white peony and the food was set out for us as we requested but cold. Still good tasting, when we received our each individual bills, we were ALL charge for things that we did not order. It was way too confusing for the waitress and we all agreed to just pay it anyway. Because we all needed to get on with our day. We also found out that somebody had bought this restaurant a week ago, so it will be again changing, hopefully for the better read more

Best Chinese food in Tracy since Mandarin Villa closed. Interior is clean and nice for a sit down dinner. Fried rice, salt and pepper pork chops, and steamed fish are amazing. read more

Nice new decor, excellent food, however, no organization whatsoever with regard to logistics and service. Strongly don't advise this place if you are in a time crunch to get somewhere, or super hungry, or on a first date. You may not be seated for an hour, may not get the food for a long time, and won't get water refills, or get the order right, the intensifs, or the check in a reasonably timely manner. We have eaten there four times and there does not seem to be any improvement. read more

Worst Chinese restaurant in Tracy...quality is terrible. More like cheap fast food takeout

This is one of the worst Chinese restaurant. Not only is the food are bad quality, they also rip you off. Check all your to-go before leaving the restaurant. We ordered online for 2 orders of siumai & 2 orders of ha gao, but they only gave us 1 order each! We ordered other dishes and didn't bother to check all the boxes until we got home. When we called and complained about it, the clerk didn't bother to refund us. The quality of the food was not all that great. Their fried rice was bland & hard. Tasted like stale rice. I would not like recommend this place to anyone. Make the drive to the Bay area to get better quality dim sum. read more

This is a new restaurant but the good is like a home made style. Service and staffs are very friendly.
