Eyebrow microblading is one of the hottest growing beauty trends these days, with a full brow the desired look by most women. Mine are sparse, so naturally, I was curious when I heard about it. I stumbled upon an up and coming technician, Alexa Bryan, on social media and contacted her for an appointment last Fall. While I was too scared to go through with the procedure at the time, I continued following her IG and saw her business flourish. Recently, the opportunity to connect presented itself once again, and the timing was perfect. Upon booking my appointment, she forwarded pre-procedure prep guidelines and let me know to allow 2 - 3 hours. Alexa is a welcoming and cheerful person, and took her time getting to know me, making sure I was comfortable, while answering any questions I had. She explained her background, training, and what drew her to start her own business. Her studio is a modern bright space, adjacent to Grand Junction Tattoo, but distinctly separate. She made sure to ask what I wanted and took 'before' pictures. Afterward, she applied angles to get precise measurements to create the initial brow shape and symmetry. We modified until I was happy, then outlined and prepped them before taking a short break. Once I was numb, we agreed on a color and got started. The process felt like a scraping, but was not uncomfortable or painful. We talked during the procedure, and before long, I was done and she took some 'after' pictures. Because its a two part process, she explained that I should expect changes in the shape and color over the next 10 days, and that color adjustments could be made during the second procedure. I had been following White Moth since yelp posted about her business for a giveaway. I originally was following for the brow microblade but then I saw the lip blush. I finally decided that was what I needed in my life. So I booked an appointment and made my way to mass ave. The studio is in the basement of the tattoo parlor on Mass Ave. a very cute space. We went over the color and on went the numbing cream. You have to sit w that for 30 min. I did not feel a thing during the procedure. I believe it took roughly 2 hours to have this done. After the procedure was done I was a bit shocked by the results. My lips were swollen and bright. 24 hours later I was super happy. The swelling had calmed down and the color was great. I know the color fades so I am eager to see what it looks like. read more

Perfection!!!! I cannot day enough good things about the incredibly talented Alexa Bryan. She is an eyebrow magician. I love both her work and her personality. She strives to satisfy every client. I made my appointment after looking through her Instagram. What I really enjoyed about her work was that she made eyebrows look natural, not overdone or too much. I had wanted to get my brows done for the last two years but never found anyone's work I liked as much as hers. So glad I jumped at the chance to have her do mine. They could not have come out better. Her place is across from the Starbucks on Mass Ave in the basement of the tattoo business. The space is extremely clean and well decorated. Lots of plants and light make you feel welcome. Initially we discussed what I wanted and Alexa took lots of time to do a full brow mapping. When then discussed the outlined brows and made minor changes. She made suggestions on color... she was quite the pro at picking out the right one. I thought I wanted slightly darker but am sooo glad I went with her opinion. It fit my natural coloring and skin type perfectly. Alexa explained the whole process once I was on the table. She even covered me with a heated blanket to make sure I was comfortable. Then the "scraping" began. Not gonna lie, the sound could be unnerving for some. However Lex talked and played music the whole time, quieting any tension I felt. The entire process was about 2.5 hours from start to finish. Besides being a cosmetic tattoo artist, Alexa is a fabulous person with so many wonderful attributes. I feel like despite our age difference I made a new friend. Make sure you plan to do the follow up in 6-8 weeks. Don't make the investment with allowing for it. It will make a huge difference in the life of your brows. read more

I am 68 years old, and my lip line has just gotten kind of wonky. Not defined. And my lips, without my tattooing, are as pale as can be. I felt self-conscious going anywhere without my lipstick, but I hated how the lipstick smeared all over my face when I wore a mask! I have wanted to get my lips tattooed for years, but I just didn't know who to go to. I saw a lot of examples of bad lip tattoos and I really didn't want that to happen to me. When I saw Alexa's work I knew immediately that I wanted her to do this for me. I am SO HAPPY I found her! She did the most beautiful job and I absolutely love the finished product. I am a month out from my touch up (so, my second visit), and I could not be happier. I notice so many of the other reviewers describe how meticulous she is, and this is true.
