One member of our group ordered the jerked chicken and ribs, and the ribs were the standout. They were tender, flavorful, and fell right off the bone. The chicken was slightly dry, and we agreed that ordering just the jerked ribs would be ideal. Another guest ordered the regular ribs and found them to be somewhat dry and less tender, although they were still enjoyable. The au gratin potatoes were very good, and the chicken Alfredo was also well prepared. This is one of the more expensive restaurants in the area, so it is not somewhere we visit frequently. However, the restaurant offers a distinctive cabin-style atmosphere, with one side dedicated to the bar. The overall setting has a fun, welcoming "up north" feel.

I highly suggest the ham and cheese balls with moonshine sauce as an appetizer. The fish sandwich is very well proportioned and filling! I really haven't had one bad item, ever! The beef is from the local meat market so if you need some good cuts of meat for the lake house/campsite/etc. be sure to stop by Thielen's Meats one block north! The wraps kick butt! It felt like it was kind of in the middle of nowhere on the side of the highway, but we are glad we stopped. They had a big menu with lots of options, from appetizers to full meals to various desserts. We chose onion rings and the broasted half-chicken, with fries, basket to share. The onion rings were hot and crispy and we got a huge portion, more than we could eat! The chicken was moist and flavorful, with a crispy coating. The fries were pretty standard. Again, more food than the two of us could eat. Leftovers are always good though! They weren't busy in the middle of the afternoon, and we had great service. They were friendly and attentive.

The restaurant was fairly busy during our visit, and our server informed us that they were short-staffed. Although the service was average, we appreciated her keeping us updated. Overall, the restaurant offers a welcoming bar atmosphere, and we thoroughly enjoyed the wings. We would definitely consider returning for another wing night.
