Good tacos and salsas but not much meat in the carne asada taco. But very good! The costra beef taco is the best. They have three table salsa that are really good. The orange one is very spicy which I loved. Every time someone comes to visit me I always bring them here and they love it. They also have aguas Frescas that they make in house. Everything is made from scratch and I absolutely love this place.

Totally let down by the food but their green and dark salsa is GOOD and their draft beer is ice cold. Got there, guy at the front didn't know the menu (I'm not from in town) and he pressured me to order more food than what I wanted even though I said I only wanted two tacos. Ended up getting peer pressured into their rice and beans ($8!!!), two tacos, and a draft beer (don't get me started on the beer ordeal). When I got my food, the rice and beans consisted of a a 1/4 c scoop of mushy white rice but the beans were DELICIOUS. Tacos arrived cold as ice. Let their team know it was cold and ended up taking 20+ minutes for my two tacos to come back even though it was a slow evening. Lot of attitude served when first getting the tacos, and while they gave chips about 15 minutes after waiting for the second cook, the tacos came back barely warm and SO salty. I'd love to come back for the green salsa, beans, and ice cold beer.

Usually I'm camped outside with a few cocktails and I stagger my order. Just to be clear, my favorite item here is the Carne Asada Sope!!! Service was great as they gave the family recommendations. Teenagers went for the (classic Azteca & burrito Mio) burritos and birria tacos. The consommé to them was on point as they finished it all on the burritos. Greedy kids also split one of my Sope's seeing how I hyped it up... and left crumbs!!! Salsa bar is located in the corner and labeled so you don't go blazin hot unexpectedly with a salsa. For the adults, we decided to go with the Asada Fries for the group to share, the Mulitas with Carne Asada, Steet taco combo with rice & beans, horchata's and of course a Margarita (or 2) It was a bit to hot for the patio our front that evening, and they do have a another one out back. The only downside was that that bathroom was down for the night so we didn't hang out for a round 2.

I have mixed feelings. First of all the location moved I guess and now they're located where bread…read moreand honey house is at. In the mornings it's bread and honey and at 3 it turns to Paco's. We arrived at 2:30 and decided to wait . While we waited the young lady was nice enough to give us crepes on the house. They were amazing. We ordered 2 different types of burritos (Cali and chile relleno) and a carnita taco/ birria taco and asada taco. The food was just ok. The meat had no flavor at all. The birria taco is supposed to be crunchy and it was soggy. It just was pretty mediocre tasting and I really wanted to like it. Personally the best part was the crepe that was served at bread and honey

The food is excellent, the ambiance is hole in wall type place, and the service is fast and friendly. I had two tacos (carne asada and al pastor) and a mula (carne asada). Turned out to be more than I cook eat, but all were delicious. The tacos are self-explanatory, the mula is taco sandwich (two tortillas instead of one). The salsas were very good as well. The green is the milder of two, but still has a good spice to it. Had a great experience, perhaps you will as well... N*joy!

Service was so friendly and welcoming! Pricing was very reasonably priced and the portions are so generous. Inside was spacious and had plenty of seating. The Quesabirria ($3.99) was so delicious! It was stuffed with tender and juicy shredded beef! It was packed with flavor and the dipping sauce was so good! The taco was so cheesy and fresh! Definitely a must get! Horchata ($4.64) was good and refreshing. It had lots of cinnamon on the bottom so definitely needed a good stir prior to drinking. It was very sweet but definitely one of the better Horchatas I've had since it didn't taste artificial. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and would definitely return and recommend!

Excellent Catering Experience -- Highly Recommend! (**SPANISH translation below**)…read more We hired Tacos Calafia Catering for my birthday celebration at our home and had an absolutely wonderful experience from beginning to end! The food was delicious, fresh, and a huge hit with our guests. So many people commented throughout the evening on how good everything was, and just a few days later, one of my friends was already asking me for their contact information so she could recommend them for another event. That says it all! Alex and Adán provided excellent service. They were professional, friendly, organized, and made everything so easy for us as hosts. It was such a pleasure having them be part of our celebration. Our family just moved from Canada to Arizona in January, so we are still discovering local businesses we can trust, and Tacos Calafia is definitely one we will happily use again and recommend to our friends. Great food, great service, and wonderful people. There is a reason they have so many excellent reviews online -- they deserve them! Thank you, Alex, Adán, and the Tacos Calafia team for helping make my birthday such a special evening. Highly recommended for anyone looking for excellent taco catering in the Metro Phoenix area! This location is large and has a lot of tables inside and outside. There's plenty of room for large parties to congregate together and not bother other customers. There's was also a lot of sunlight pouring into the building which I enjoy. They have a large Arizona-themed wall mural and many other decorations throughout the restaurant. The menu board is both simple and diverse, as you have a choice of proteins (carne asada, pollo, al pastor, cabeza and grilled cactus!) and an assorted way to enjoy them (tacos, burrito, quesadilla, nachos, vampiro, and more). Once you place your order at the counter, they have a nice salsa bar with multiple salsas/sauces, guac, onions, radishes, cilantro, limes and more. There's also a table for all your other dining needs (utensils, napkins, salsa cups, etc). I enjoy places that trust their customers to take what they need and not take advantage of their hospitality. I ordered 3 tacos and grabbed 3 salsas to mix and match. I really enjoyed the Al Pastor and Carne Asada tacos, but the Pollo wasn't to my liking (had a rubbery/slimy texture and didn't taste to my expectation). The salsas/hot sauces were fine but I didn't find a favorite. Overall, this was an enjoyable lunch at a fair price and at a nice setting. Thanks Tacos Calafia!

Located on Roosevelt Row, Taco Boy's has a parking lot. It's not big, but I found a spot on a Thursday evening. Ambiance (3.5/5): Taco Boy's is a little chaotic. You order at the counter and then they call your name when your food is ready. It's not a large taco joint, and it's a popular taco joint. Which means you'll see a lot of people cycling in and out, as a lot place to-go orders too. Not the most calm experience, but not an issue for me. You'll also come out smelling like meat lol. They have an open kitchen, and it smells fantastic. The downside is that it sticks to your clothes, too. Service (4/5): Service isn't a big part of the experience, but for what it is, it's pretty smooth. They took my order quickly, I paid relatively quickly, and my food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. Drinks (5/5): I'm a sucker for agua frescas. Taco Boy's delivers. They had four flavors available. I went with the pineapple/mango. It's served in a large cup. Good stuff. Food (5/5): I wasn't terribly hungry so I got a small barbacoa quesadilla. Outside of quesadillas, they have tacos, vampiros, and burritos. Your choice of meat including usual suspects like carne asada, al pastor, chicken, etc. They grill all of their food right in front of you and it's absolutely delicious. Fresh off the grill. Flavorful. Well marinated. Quality meats and ingredients. At the complimentary salsa bar, you can stock up on various sauces, limes, cucumbers, etc. I can't wait to get back to have a heartier meal and try out more of their items. Hands-down, the best Mexican food I've had in Phoenix so far (after a year and a half).
