This location uses artificial intelligence to take your order and to prepare it. I had no issues with the AI that took our order, it was pleasant, she even asked if we would like any drinks. She got the order correct and it came out quick enough. The store appears clean and instead of a small window, the employees have a sliding door to exit. I've been enjoying these sliders since I was a kid and enjoyed a sausage breakfast slider this visit -- it was yummy and so were the double sliders. I tried the sriracha shrimp nibblers and they are definitely a bit salty. The cheese fries were hot and I finally got the chance to satisfy my biannual craving. read more

My Amazing Niece and her Family were in town and she had to have some White Castle burgers. We decided to go through the drive thru. First Thing, they've recently decided to install AI and it was not good; sorry to say. I probably had to give my order bout 4 times; they kept adding items to my order that nobody in the car even asked for. I spent almost $ 50. dollars and once we got home 1 of the 2 waffle & chicken sandwichs fell unto the floor. The box collapsed and bottom fell out. Then a part of my order was left out of my bag ( 6 pc chicken rings) read more

The food was ok, the service was fine, and we went through the drive thru. Located just off the highway.

This is the slowest drive through if this is fast food the service is less then it's slow all the time

The staff is always friendly and welcoming. My order is always freshly made and correct every time!

05/02/2025. Went to the drive through tried transferring the ai to an associate at the drive through. Waited 10 min to then drove to the first window. There were 3 workers there, and a car in front of us waiting for an order as well. still no one came to the window. my wife had to call to get them to take our order. We paid, got to the second window, and a worker screamed as soon as the pull the window down. They were also cursing at eachother. They gave us our food and forgot our condiments and drinks that we paid for. very unprofessional. if I could give this location 0 stars that would be being generous. read more

Not a good location. Service leaves a lot to be desired and tasted like they haven't changed their fry oil in a long time. Orings tasted like used motor oil. read more

I'm always a fan of hitting up a White Castle whenever I return to my home state of Indiana. I was greeted by a friendly voice over the speaker and received fast, courteous service at this location. The burgers were delicious as always and I tried the strawberry sprite which was a tasty way to quench my thirst. I ordered 3 bacon cheeseburgers, 2 cheeseburgers, and 3 jalapeno cheeseburgers. And yes, I ate every one of those sliders. They were hot and tasty. read more

Systems. huh, Systems?? This is White Castle. Not sure why "Systems" was added, it now sounds like a secret govt. defense agency. Ambiance : 5 star This is a newer location. The decorations are nostalgic with a touch of architectural digest. The dining area is clean, bright and open, one of the largest that I've ever seen. The restrooms are family friendly with a fold down changing area in the mens room. (how thoughtful) :) Food : 3 stars. I ordered 4 slider combo pickle onions. Just when you thought that every manufacture could make a product any thinner or smaller, WC systems did. I'm not sure what I saw was an anomaly but my last slider of 4 was very thin and smaller almost like the butt end of a bread loaf?? Grrr. The French fries were toasty and crisp. Soda was Coke products I had the hi-c fruit punch. So my onion flavored belches would be suppressed since it's a long ride up to Milwaukee. Service : 5 stars I came in after 1:00 and the dining area was filled 25% and some people ate in the cars like the old days. Fast accurate and pleasant. Location: 4 stars just west off I-65 easy to find and to get back on the highway in Merrillville Ind. Just wish there were stores in Fl or Milwaukee. Value: 3 stars. Convenience quick lunch, good price just stop making the fun mini slider smaller. And I'll be happy. read more

I haven't had White Castle in more than 20 years because none were near where I lived. Today, I spotted one while visiting the area and just had to stop. Beyond the fact that the double cheese sliders taste as they have always, but now they have the Impossible burger and a veggie burger as well, which makes me like White Castle even more since I prefer to eat less meat. I tried the regular, veggie and impossible burgers, all tasted great. And the price is fair as well. The fries were also very good, not greasy at all. I highly recommend this place. Oops I eat the food so quickly I forgot to take pictures. Next time! read more

I went inside to order. One young man who was working behind the counter had his pants sagging down so his underwear were showing. 2 girls had Afros that were handling food with no hairnets on. The service was very poor and they were very unorganized and all moved extra slow. I finally got my 10 sliders and fries. Got in my vehicle to take my food home to my family. The food smelled so bad. It smelled like garbage that was sitting in the sun for days. I literally got sick to my stomach from the smell of the food and pulled into a gas station and threw it away. If food smells that bad there's something wrong. Food should smell good. Not make you want to vomit. Try it yourselves. Buy a sack of their food and when you put it in your car take whiff but be ready to vomit. Just a bad experience and food should not smell like that. read more

Small burgers, big taste! I don't know anyone from chicago who dosen't like white castle. It is the one place to go for some fast food after partying the night away. White castle burgers are well known for their nickname "sliders" and they hold up to that name very well. Lol If your not in the mood for these deliciously small burgers with grilled onions and pickles, than you can opt for chicken rings, fish sandwiches or other featured menu items. Their mozzarella sticks and onion rings are a big hit. If you have a party or a big family, your best bet is to get the crave case. Its 30 burgers and you can request to get all the same or go half cheese and half without--which I usually do. They sell breakfast as well and the place is open 24 hours. You can either dine in or pick up your order to go. Will I return? Absolutely, when its late and Im hungry!! Lol read more

Just as I remember the flavor! It satisfied my craving till next time. The service was great and fast !

If your a fan of sliders and grew up on them this location will bring back those old memories. The food is consistent with the White Castle chains and is open 24 hours. Get you some! If you have never had White Castle burgers let me give you the rundown. First off, they are small, 2.5" square burgers where the meat is cooked with the onions on them. So, they are somewhat infused with onion flavor which is great if you like onions and no so much if you marry someone who hates onions (I.E. My wife). If that's the case, they can opt for a chicken or fish sandwich which are also smaller in size than a normal sandwich. I would say the average person will eat 3 to 5 burgers and maybe 2 or 3 of the chicken or fish sandwiches to make a normal sized meal. With fries and a drink you should be somewhat full with what I mentioned. The onion rings are burgers are the staples but feel free to try other items. Enjoy! read more

Absolute worst experience at a fast food place. While placing the order the lady argued with me about what was and wasn't a bacon cheeseburger or slider... super rude... then I asked for no onions, of course they came with onions and then the manager walked to my car and argued with me about how she made them, so I showed her the onions. They forgot my fries. She then proceeded to be rude, so I told her to give me money back... then she decided to call me Karen since I was complaining, which was actually funny. On the plus side, she paid me for visiting since she can't do the math and paid me more than what I paid for my order. A win for me. Some other girl came out to my car and started arguing about how I shouldn't be talking to her sister "like that"... lol. This place is a joke. Trashy food, trashy employees, trashy service. read more

This was my second trip to a WC in one week. I was touring the mid west and fell in love with this place. I ordered 2 cheeseburger sliders, chicken rings, and a chocolate dipped cheesecake bar. The burgers were hot, fresh and cute. The chicken rings were surprisingly good and the sauce selection was great. My dad has the cheesecake and loved it. What a great dessert to have instead of the standard soft serve as most fast food joints. I loved the food and will definitely be back on my next trip. They should really open one in LA. read more

Had to try since we don't have these out West. Interesting to say the least. Must be a cult thing, because the cheese sliders were more like onion sliders and the fries were very average. Tried, won't try again. read more

Food was fine. It was the crappy service that leaves A LOT to be desired. If you are in a hurry, White Castle, in general, is NOT the place to go. THIS location is no different unless you have the patience of a saint and lots of time to kill. I always thought drive-thru windows were meant to expedite service. This location never got the memo. We were told "hold on" while placing a drive thru order THREE TIMES, after waiting a solid 90 seconds for the initial "I'll be with you in just a minute. After the third time we said forget it and went inside to be met with team members (6 visible, 1 throwing dirty looks, 2 babbling about another co-worker, another looking like he might have just returned from an alien abduction. After we ordered, the lengthy wait for our order continued but was peppered with female employee wearing a drive-thru headset shooting me the death stare. How I wish I could have been on Undercover Boss to tape this behavior for a video on "how NOT to behave while you are getting paid to do a job." This crew....needs to be taught to treat all customers with respect and how to act with a sense of urgency when customers are present. read more

White Castle - NO Napkins anywhere in dining area and FILTHY floors throughout. - Burgers Near Me - Merrillville, Indiana

Slow service. Like, REALLY slow. You could go to a restaurant with table service and get your food faster.

Horrible quality at this location. Food is ALWAYS old or horribly made. Just got a slider with LITERAL dirt in the box...

Yuk! I have eaten better sliders when they were an hour old. I got 2 double cheese and 2 reg. The buns were so watery that they fell apart. When I saw the fries that were overcooked a week ago. I looked at the lady behind the counter and said. Really? There were 9 fries in the box. Nine, burnt, soggy, cold and not worth eating fries. Good by! read more

This is the slowest White Castle that I've ever visited. No sense of urgency at night. They're either always short-staffed or just don't care....and a "Here ya' go" isn't the same as a "Thank you" when handing customers their order. Get it together people. The food was good and hot though after a 15 minute wait. read more

This place had been remodeled since my last visit. The staff was nice, funny and quick. Food tasted the same as we all remembered.

It's White Castle. Was in town visiting. Haven't had one in over a decade. It will probably be another decade before I have another one.

Usually have decent experiences at White Castle. Not at this one! This place is filthy! Food all over the floor. Counter is a disaster. Very disgusting. Feel dirty just from walking in the place. That won't be happening in the foreseeable future. read more

Item was left off my order. Manager wanted to argue with me that her team placed the item in my bag yet refused to look at her surveillance tapes because clearly facts don't lie. I literally am so sick of businesses not only making mistakes but also wanting to argue when they haven't checked their facts. Not only that but seriously even if they make it right which accounts for my time and aggravation? Who accounts for one member of my family not getting fed? And I get it check my back but then if I have to help them fo their job do I get a discount or paycheck? It really shouldn't be that hard but if it is then for sure it shouldn't be that hard to make it right! Honestly just annoyed that many do not have a sense of pride in their work much less in their sense of accountability. Perhaps if they started feeling their mistakes by having to replace whole orders each time they messed up and their bottom dollar was affected I guarantee it would quickly become of importance. read more

This is the WORST White Castle ever!!! Went there this evening and was given the entirely wrong order. Tried to call and got a recording. So I went back up there and had to wait in the long drive thru line again, handed them my receipt and the order I was given and they said ok they'll remake my order. I was told that a few wrong orders were given out smh. So I check the bag and everything was in there but when I got home to eat I noticed that the item I was craving the most, BACON DOUBLE CHEESEBURGER, had absolutely ZERO BACON! Like wtf White Castle. I shouldn't have to waste my gas to drive all the way back up there and u don't even seem concerned and then still give me an incorrect order! And still they didn't answer the phone, I PAID FOR BACON WHICH IS AN UPCHARGE SO I EXPECT TO GET WHAT I PAID FOR! I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS HORRIBLE WHITE CASTLE! read more
