Why don't they ask the Loyal Customers? Good way to tank a Brand. Change it all, why change your Signature?! Ok, so let's focus on just this visit and the outcome. Nice people, store , relatively clean. Not great but I've seen much worse. Friendly, they are. I ordered the Turkey sandwich- now here is where it got confusing for me. BEFORE you order the protein, white or wheat, that's it. The sandwich was topped with their signature items, heated and served. Now I needed to tell them what I want on it. And then I asked. "Is it even toasted anymore ". They understand me, and said "we are trained often on the changes". Well, how about as a long time Loyal Customer to the Brand we say "no thank you ! We liked the original it worked let's her that Back here please"! It was a pretty good sandwich what they made. I applaud them for working in a hostile environment, which translated "no one wants to work in a place that changes its signature items constantly!" Not in this world and not in the next . I didn't order the milk shake, I was afraid they took away the beautiful butter cookie they use to place on the top of the straw. Also, pretty expensive sandwich. If you don't know the Old Potbelly; you will like the new one probably, it's still a packed protein sandwich. Closes early, South Side of Archer Ave, East Side of Harlem. Across from 5/3 Bank. I wasn't as hungry, so I went with the patty melt instead. The Super Burger lived up to its name and was topped with grilled onions and mozzarella cheese. My patty melt was spot on: crispy bread and a perfect burger‑to‑grilled‑onions ratio. I also grabbed a large fountain drink, and refills were $1. The interior has been recently updated, and they're clearly making good use of the space, including a half‑booth facing the window. The booths were comfortable, making it an easy place to sit and enjoy lunch.

It's the perfect sauce to pair with their fries, chicken, or toast. The chicken itself is very crispy and super juicy. The french fries are crinkle cut, crispy, and well seasoned with salt. So when I do stop through, I get In Italian beef and instead of fries, I get the potato salad. Washrooms are clean at this location!!! The workers are friendly at this location, but you ask for extras and your requests are ignored! As you see, I asked for extra extra green onions on my potato salad and was given very little!!!!!!! The overall portion is very small. I received like two tablespoons. My beef was also very skimpy! I also go to the Buona Beef on Golf Road or the one on McClurg in the Gold Coast. They are giving out standard portions. Not at this location! Same standard Buona Beef taste but the portion size aren't the normal portion size for the brand. It's noticeable to someone who loves Buona!! I do understand portion control but this location consisting skimps on the portion size whereas you feel cheated!!

This is my first time trying Nikki's and I was actually suprised at the Italian beef. It was not bland compared to Al's Beef or Portillo's but at the same time it was not too salty. I would have given them four stars for my experience but after seeing that they don't have a bathroom to wash your hands. Service was ok. Ambience was like a hole in the wall or very local which is good. I would come back but next time would like to try their burgers or their barbecue rib tips. I do recommend for such food.

Perfect menu, ridiculously large and well made deli sandwiches and a store full of Italian food staples and bakery items! Couple of minor downsides to be aware of - no indoor seating and somewhat limited outdoor / shaded area. Also, I had The Roc sandwich, wasn't cut all through and the crappy plastic knife broke while trying to slice. Great problem to have, the sandwiches are pretty large but pretty basic to give you a good cut. In fact, in reviewing my pics the cutting procedure took so much focus after unwrapping my sandwich, I quit taking pics! Haha All minor stuff, this is a great spot for lunch... highly recommend!
