I went to White Castle 1583 N STATE ROUTE 50. Bradley, IL 60915. I must say that it was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. We ordered our food and it took a while, but we like them to make things fresh. When we got to the car, we checked the order to make sure that we received everything, because the bags seemed light. It was light as they only gave us half the order and the half we received was cold. Maybe that's why it took so long. They waited for it to get cold. We noticed also that our burgers weren't as ordered. We went back in to show the receipt and show them the bags. The did give us what we were missing and replaced the burgers with new ones. The food they gave us was like crap. It was left in the fryer too long and they made the same mistake with the burgers as before. They read the receipt and we told them twice and they still got it wrong. I wouldn't say anything but I paid 70 dollars for an order that we threw in the trash. I did call and speak to the manager the next day. He didn't seemed concerned at all. He made me feel like a criminal. I explained what happened. He said he just pulled the video up to see what happened. He said he did witness us going back and forth on the video. I did tell him we spent almost an hour to get our food and they had no other customers at the time. I explained it was cold and greasy. I wouldn't even let my dog have it. All he said is he would talk to the people who made the order and took the order. That's it, that's all she wrote. He offered no apologies, no refund, absolutely nothing. It was if I was bothering him by reporting this. I will never go back there again. I feel they ripped me off of 70 bucks and we went home and made sandwiches. I just don't understand how dumb some people are and with the receipt in hand and a verbal explanation, they still get it wrong and crappy. I am embarrassed for that White Castle. If they called me today and said they were sorry, I still wouldn't go back. How can anyone allow this place to have such employees that don't care about their job or their customers. While gassing up at a convenience store just off the interstate, my traveling companion said he really wanted to stop for some sliders at White Castle. Well, according to the GPS the nearest WC was over two hours away. But I was hungry so I grabbed a sandwich and snack at the gas station. My companion decided to continue on to to the WC and so we drove, and drove, and drove, and eventually arrived. Meh! I'm glad I didn't wait for my lunch. But in the interest of expanding my culinary horizons, I ordered a slider with a side of onion rings. I've actually never had a WC slider before because they are not located where I live. And I probably won't stop again, especially if it means driving two hours to get there. I can understand why many people like WC sliders. They're small, they're cheap, you can buy them by the box full, and a few will fill you up -- especially of you have the "munchies." But for me the "convenience store chicken salad sandwich" I bought two hours earlier was tastier -- I found the slider quite dry and bland and the onion rings excessively greasy -- and and my sandwich and snack was comparably priced to a bag of WC sliders with a side. I should also mention that the cleanliness of the facility was subpar -- I could only find one table that was sufficiently clean, and even during a lull in service, no one emerged from behind the counter to clean up the dining room. We are very disappointed with our visit to White Castle today. They weren't very busy and it still took 20 minutes to get our food. The dining area was filthy. The floors looked like they hadn't been swept since the day before. Not one clean table. We picked the cleanest dirty one to eat at. There were no napkins, ketchup or salt in the dispenser area. Which also looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. Our food was not warm, let alone hot. I don't know why they ask "is this for here or to go" because we didn't get a tray, it was all in bags. And to top it all off, there was a white hair stuck to one of my onion rings. When I gave it to the manager she said nothing. Just made a face and threw it away. Two stars only because its not the foods fault that people at this location don't know, how to be DIVERSITY friendly, or warm food. Its about 2-3 am, last Saturday, picking up some food after a long drive down here to drop off a friend. Decided on some jalapeno cheese burgers and some chicken rings. She yelled at me that that wasn't how it got rung up and rolled her eyes like that was my fault and then snatched the box from my hand and threw it in the trash.
