What does Target have to do with my mobile phone service?…read more Lemme back up... I'd stopped in to return something that I'd ordered online, As soon as I hit the entrance, I asked the girl (security? Greeter? Both?) where to go to return an item. She said, upstairs. I go upstairs and there's a male employee not far from the top of the escalator. I ask where to return an item. He showed me, and then asked me if I have Verizon or T-Mobile. Part of me wishes I'd said one or the other to see where the conversation was going. But, I had other stuff to do so I said as I walked away, "I have neither. I have Mint and am very happy with it." Then I went to return my item. Return process was easy-peasy.

This is just the latest in what I have come to expect from this particular Target…read more After heading up to the upper floor of this Target to pick up a few things, including lightening charging cables; I paid for my purchases there at the electronics counter. As I exited the store through the exact same doorway, I had entered through, the security sensor went off. I stepped back into the store and the security guard asked me for my receipt and took a quick look in my bag, suggesting that a clothing item may still have a security tag. I then walked over to a register nearby and asked a cashier to help me locate and remove the security tag triggering the door sensor. Taking all my items out; absolutely none of them had a security tag. So I went back to the same exit and the sensor didn't go off from the bag but went off as I walked through. I handed the bag of purchased items to the security guard and stepped through the sensor with nothing but what I entered the store with and it went off. The security guard then states, "you can go, I trust you." But I was already embarrassed and felt targeted; especially seeing the mom of another kid that attends my son's school. She wouldn't even look at me as she got her shopping cart; lord only knows what she thought I stole. Then the kicker is, I was already a bit delayed as I just wanted to pickup a few things from Target with the spare time I had until pickup time for my son from school. The sensor didn't go off at all as I walked through it that final time. I absolutely believe I was being targeted as I have encountered inappropriate surveillance and requests to view my receipts (while other patrons passed without them batting an eye); as well as refusal to print me gift receipts for gift cards that I purchase for gifts. I believe the usual security--who may be used to seeing me--weren't around; therefore, I once again fell prey to unfair profiling this particular Target store engages in.

I initially felt overwhelmed by all the options, but after describing the type of scent I wanted, they guided me toward some great recommendations. They even included a few fragrance samples and a vial of a close second choice, which I really appreciated. Overall, excellent customer service and a very satisfied customer!

I noticed a sales associate standing behind the counter and I said" good morning, do work for Chanel?" She very rudely turned her back on me and said " I WORK FOR MACY'S PERIOD!" Well, okay, I'd like to purchase a bottle of Mademoiselle please. " Don't you see that I'm busy." She never turned to face me, hence I snapped her photo from the side . I couldn't believe that she was so incredibly rude. I walked away and moments later she was standing with colleagues complaining about customers expecting her to stop counting her samples to sell something. Really? As a platinum card holder I expect a higher level of customer care and respect. I don't believe that she realizes how replaceable she is. I walked over to the CHANEL makeup counter where I made my purchase and was given a first-class experience. Photos attached are of that woman CARLA ignoring me and then complaining to colleagues.,

This open public space open daily from 6:00 am to 3:00 am (next day) and privately owned and maintained. It has a modern appeal with escalators. Tenants are traditional brick and mortar retail shops: Gong Cha, Aldi, Burlington, Costco, DSW, Best Buy, Five Below, Petco, T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, Dallas BBQ, Chipotle, Panera, Iron Age Korean Steakhouse, Champion Pizza, and Teriyaki One. Majority of these businesses are chain. I came here specifically for bubble tea at Gong Cha which is a small indoor kiosk. This site was the former department store Alexander's. With my family, I had previously shopped at Alexander's back in the day. Ah, nostalgia brew. There is a free parking lot and a two (2) hour metered parking lot available. Stores are located on ground, first and second floors, there are some commercial office spaces too. Parking is available for a fee in either structures or in the spaces directly in front of the stores. There are a fair number of stores for what is essentially a glorified strip mall, it's not quite large enough to make it a serious shopping destination, more of a come-by-for-specific stores kind of place. Of the approximately 50 businesses here, a dozen are commercial offices, another dozen service/utility stores (doctors offices, glasses store, UPS, T-mobile), a Regal Cinemas movie theater, a couple hobby stores (anime/manga, games, Bee's Arts & Crafts), several food/drink spots, some apparel/accessories stores (Foot Locker, Forever 21, TJ Maxx, White House/Black Market, Sacca's Suits), a few sports facilities (swim school, NY Sports Club, karate school, laser tag/bounce family fun center) and two home furnishing stores (Home Goods and Ashley Furniture). Probably wouldn't go out of my way to come here though I can see how it's convenient to have these store nearby for those that live in the area. There is a fun 3-story tall street art mural of a boy with big ears on one of the parking structure outer walls.

There's also a HomeGoods, Laser Bounce (arcade), Slime Time, Ulta, Footlocker, an arts & crafts studio, movie theater and a few toy stores. Can definitely be a fun time with kids- the girls even played frisbee & volleyball on the synthetic grass, got bubble tea from Pot Noodle, which was surprisingly good and won some prizes from Laser Bounce too. Not an ideal place for clothing shopping and the parking was quite expensive- $30 for 4 hours but either way, we'll be back :)

It's not the most organized place on Earth but they do have dressing rooms and had a present attendant to assist you in getting one. I found a cute sweater that when I tried it on, felt like was made for me so I opted to get it. Little did I know that meant joining and endless line that swerved into narrow rows that if you suddenly changed your mind, you'd be trapped in. Also, I hope you don't object to children and families because I definitely saw quite a few of them here though none bothered me and I actually felt reassured that home training and good family values still happen since the family in front of me behaved respectfully, the parents were attentive and they seemed like a functional family that cared about one another. Those rows are far from boring since you'll see all kinds of items there. I opted to include a hairbrush since I needed one and you probably can't have too many of them. The line did move, I got my items checked out and ended up on my way. I haven't usually found things here but if you have time and want something badly enough to brave the long line, you might just find something that fits the bill.

I keep making the same mistake coming on the weekend. This place is super unorganized and it's only getting worse since the boom in people moving to the area. The line is always super love. I do give the people working here five starts because it isn't their fault customers don't put items back. There is a changing room here in case you want to make sure that nicely priced down dress you like looks good. I always appreciate the shoe section, they always have my size. The bedding area is where it gets tricky. You can find a nice bed in a bag but it's always a king size. It's rare for an nyc apartment to have a king size bed in it so I'm guessing that's why kings are always there. They literally have so many sizes here, there's home goods, pet stuff and electronics. It's pretty much like every other marshals you'd go to. Just remember about that line I mentioned earlier, it's a killer especially when there isn't a lot of people at the reregister.
