I write this review after a week of packing and moving my late grandmother's estate which entailed many valuable & fragile antiques. Moving can be stressful for the customer and moving an estate, emotional. Derek & his team brought great energy, patience and outstanding work ethic. Our family has previous, and many recent, dealings with various moving companies, and we can attest that 99 North Movers is a cut above. Each step of the process was well communicated, planned and executed. They provided packing, sorting, moving, planning, storage & junk removal. So very helpful and set our minds at ease knowing our move was in capable hands. We highly recommend Derek & team at 99 North Movers.

    The first thing to know is that Shop N Drop is an actual service. Eric is a real person and it is a…read morelegitimate business. Obviously this is EXTREMELY important to know as there are con artists out there. And to trust someone to pick up your item and drop it at your house means you need to know that the person isn't going to drive off with it. Eric will ask you to text the receipt for your item so he can show it to the business (ie: Canadian Tire). If he is dropping off the item at your house and you won't be there, he will ask you to e-mail him to give your permission. He will give you a window of time when he is going to drop off the item and will call to let you know if there are changes in times. He will give you a quote but it depends on how heavy the item is. If it is a barbeque that is maybe 50 or so pounds, the quote is about 49.00 but it will cost more for heavier items, which is fair. He moved a metal garden shed for us that weighed over 300 pounds that we couldn't move in our small vehicle. We were charged $118.00. The delivery was prompt, Eric took great care moving the item to the back, and closed the heavy gate that I couldn't move, to keep the item secure. He was polite and gave me a detailed receipt. Eric can have a terse, business-like manner on the phone but do not take this to be rudeness. Wouldn't you rather have an honest, upfront person to deliver your item, rather than someone who might sound 'nice' but who breaks your item, is careless, or who doesn't even show up? For people who can't move things on their own because they don't have a truck or if it's too heavy, Eric is a trusted person to do the job for you. That's one thing you don't have to worry about in a chaotic world. Peace.

Now you know the important part I'm not understanding temu's insistence that a lot of what I've ordered lately "can't" be shipped to my postbox- I get big packages from other online retailers delivered there with no problem so why would an item in a medium-sized padded envelope be a problem?! This is their most popular shipping company and if this ridiculousness doesn't stop, I'll quit buying from temu AGAIN and stay away forever I ordered a small usb-chargeable portable personal fan a few weeks ago; it was in a smallish box (4x6x8) and UniUni left it at the front door of the business I live above.. okay, an honest mistake, Chewy did that initially too, but it was easy to contact the shipping co to get it straightened out and now they deliver correctly to the rear of the business where my door is ... and the UniUni delivery person took a picture of the delivery location so I was able to get it before a porch pirate did The fan is actually GREAT so I ordered 2 more for gifting and here's where everything went to hell On Friday (6/19) I got a late-night email saying my package couldn't be delivered because the business was closed ...which was annoying because the previous delivery was left after the business was closed; okay maybe it was a different person who didn't want to leave the package unattended, which is understandable (which could have been avoided if it was sent to my postbox to begin with!) The email said delivery would be attempted the next day (and the business is closed on the weekend) so I made a BIG sign saying for the UniUni person to please bring it to the rear of the building and I put the sign on the front door at 6am Saturday (6/20) So, got another late-night email Saturday night saying they couldn't deliver because the business was closed I left the sign up Late Sunday night.. another email Since the business would be open Monday, I removed the sign around 7:30am By noon.. no delivery.. so I tried to reach out and was forced to deal with an AI who assured me it could connect me with a CS if it couldn't solve my problem.. long story short, it couldn't.. and told me it could NOT connect me with a CS -until I reminded it that it said it could, then I was connected and chatted with a "person" who eventually offered to contact the driver with the "updated" delivery instructions Well... here it is, 8:15pm Monday the 22nd, and I got the expected email about the package being undelivered because the business was closed I had told the "person" that if my package wasn't delivered today that I was going to post the story on every SM platform I could, so here I am... and if it was possible to post with a zero star rating, I would, believe me! Unfortunately, as I and others have pointed out, this is temu's latest preferred shipping company, so I would encourage everyone reading this (and the other reviews) to rethink their decision to buy anything from temu.. I mean... more than half of their merch is cheap crap anyway that's probably sold on other sites that may cost more, but is saving the couple bucks difference worth the stress of seeing your package is Out For Delivery day after day after day with this lousy company?! Oh, and their posted hours is a lie.. says they're open until 9 but the recording says they closed at 4 Theoretically they're near Vancouver Canada -west coast where I am!- but at this point I'm wondering if THAT'S a lie too!
