Derek kept in touch throughout the planning phase so I could plan effectively around his work. We also made use of packing services where he provided boxes and packing material to ensure our fragile kitchen materials arrived safely. On the day, him and his team were on time and worked hard to get the move done well within the estimated time. Thanks Derek! And would highly consider you for any future moves

I write this review after a week of packing and moving my late grandmother's estate which entailed many valuable & fragile antiques. Moving can be stressful for the customer and moving an estate, emotional. Derek & his team brought great energy, patience and outstanding work ethic. Our family has previous, and many recent, dealings with various moving companies, and we can attest that 99 North Movers is a cut above. Each step of the process was well communicated, planned and executed. They provided packing, sorting, moving, planning, storage & junk removal. So very helpful and set our minds at ease knowing our move was in capable hands. We highly recommend Derek & team at 99 North Movers.

Is it possible to give a business negative reviews? Because this "company" is absolute garbage. I…read morethink the most reasonable person on their team is the driver because of the lack of responsibility he has to take fucking over customers on their orders. Even their own dispatch makes fun of the drivers which is sad. My girlfriend had a simple order of which they gave her the wrong product, we asked to swap the product and they refused claiming because she "opened it" they couldn't swap the item even though we only opened it because we thought we received the right product to which the dispatcher started texting my girlfriend incoherent gibberish and personal opinions on COVID instead of just refunding us or giving us the correct product. Buy from Squamish, these clowns are not worth the time or money and if you work for the company and see this review enjoy the friendly photo I left ya for your hard work.

I had to endlessly message them to get any info on my order while im sitting around for 2 days. They say it will be arriving the next day at 1pm, didnt show so i messaged them again and they said their drivers car has broken down (didnt bother messaging me to tell me this). I canceled my order and ask for a refund, then I asked when I will receive it and the employee replies "the less messages I receive the quicker i can do it". Its pathetic this is what you have to deal with to buy weed in whistler of all places. Still havent received my refund or any word about when that will be.

The first thing to know is that Shop N Drop is an actual service. Eric is a real person and it is a…read morelegitimate business. Obviously this is EXTREMELY important to know as there are con artists out there. And to trust someone to pick up your item and drop it at your house means you need to know that the person isn't going to drive off with it. Eric will ask you to text the receipt for your item so he can show it to the business (ie: Canadian Tire). If he is dropping off the item at your house and you won't be there, he will ask you to e-mail him to give your permission. He will give you a window of time when he is going to drop off the item and will call to let you know if there are changes in times. He will give you a quote but it depends on how heavy the item is. If it is a barbeque that is maybe 50 or so pounds, the quote is about 49.00 but it will cost more for heavier items, which is fair. He moved a metal garden shed for us that weighed over 300 pounds that we couldn't move in our small vehicle. We were charged $118.00. The delivery was prompt, Eric took great care moving the item to the back, and closed the heavy gate that I couldn't move, to keep the item secure. He was polite and gave me a detailed receipt. Eric can have a terse, business-like manner on the phone but do not take this to be rudeness. Wouldn't you rather have an honest, upfront person to deliver your item, rather than someone who might sound 'nice' but who breaks your item, is careless, or who doesn't even show up? For people who can't move things on their own because they don't have a truck or if it's too heavy, Eric is a trusted person to do the job for you. That's one thing you don't have to worry about in a chaotic world. Peace.

Evolution Whistler - Ellie - star staff member, and Team rider!

    $$$

There are a plethora of bike shops around the Whistler area, and when you search online, this is…read moreone of the more recommended shops due to it being one of the few local, independent shops still around. I'm all for supporting local, but this shop has proved why large conglomerates are able to take over areas so easily. Being a small, independent shop doesn't mean you can get away with providing shoddy services and rude attitudes to your customers, as this place does. I rented a V10 here to ride at the bike park earlier in the summer, and I thought I was being pranked with how poorly tuned the bike was for my weight and size. It's as if they tuned it for a 300+ lb bodybuilder. I inputted my weight (140lbs) and height on the registration sheet, and it seemed to be completely ignored. I get that bike parks are extremely rough on the bikes, but practically maxing out the suspension and tire pressure will do nothing but provide an extremely poor rider experience and also risk injury. Maybe that's the strategy: wear out the riders by practically giving them no suspension so they ride less, resulting in less wear and tear on the bike? I consider myself an advanced rider, and as I did my first run down Crank It Up, I couldn't help but wonder if riding down cobblestones in Paris Roubaix on a tireless road bike would've offered a smoother experience as I was getting absolutely beaten to shreds on the bike. My buddy, a former bike shop mechanic, tinkered around with the tire pressure and so on before we brought it back to the shop to get the bike further adjusted. We were introduced to the presumably lead mechanic, the older Australian gentleman. As we explained the situation and what we did, he began to talk down to us for tinkering with the bike because we could have done some irreparable damage. I get that there are people who foolishly think they know more than they do, but I can't even wrap my head around how much damage we could have done taking air out of the tire or adjusting the compression on the fork. We had a four-day rental and brought the bike back four times within the first two days (not including the returns where we voiced our thoughts) with the same exact complaint before the Australian mechanic seemed fed up with us and decided to check out the suspension, only for them to realize that the bike had a completely damaged suspension and that it needed to be replaced. When you're paying more than $200 a day for a rental, you expect some level of service and functionality from the tool that you're using. Unfortunately, that was not the case for me. Despite all of the "adjustments" that were made, I felt like I was cosplaying as a first-day jackhammer operator riding that bike. My forearms and hands were absolutely beat because of the lack of a working suspension system, and I was mentally drained from the dread I endured knowing I would have to go back to the shop each time for adjustments and endure a condescending interaction with the mechanic. I'm sure the bike shop deals with beginners all the time who have a hard time conveying their experiences or blame the bike for their fatigue when, in reality, it is the physical nature of the sport. However, I ride multiple times a week, have no issues riding some of the more technical parts of the mountain, and conveyed this information to the bike shop, expecting them to be a bit more sympathetic and provide even a baseline level of customer service. Unfortunately, that was not the case. There were several other bike shops that my buddy and I stopped by within the Whistler Village that treated us better than Evolution, despite them being conglomerate-owned. I'm all for supporting local, but I can't in good conscience recommend this place, especially to beginners. With the way they set their bikes up, someone can seriously get injured or worse. If you receive even double the service I did, you'd leave disappointed and feel like your money was wasted. This bike shop is sadly an extremely poor steward of the sport and strongly highlights the negative, pompous attitude of biking culture.
