    Best pancakes ever!

My family of 6 adults ate lunch at the Whistle Stop on Saturday. It was delightful! Kari was helpful and accommodating in so many ways. When we arrived, she welcomed us as if we were part of her family! She immediately prepared a table large enough to make us comfortable. We have several food sensitivities and allergies in the group and Kari asked the right questions to make sure that the food was prepared for our needs and made us feel welcome even though our order was more complicated. The food was amazing! We recommend the giant plate-sized pancakes, the Denver omelet and the Everything Under the Spuds. The prices were reasonable and the service was outstanding! We will be back!!

I finally stopped to give this place a try. I have driven past this café hundreds or even thousands of times. Yesterday I took the chance and stopped. The place is a venture back in time. Very nice and clean. I decided to sit next to the window so I could soak up the rays of a wintery sunny day that has been rare this winter. It also had a great view of the railroad tracks...hence the name Whistle Stop. Service was very good and my order was served very promptly. I was happy to learn that breakfast was served all day. I arrived during the lunch period but nothing tastes better than a good breakfast. I order the ham and cheese omelet with extra crispy hash browns. The breakfast had great presentation and the price vs value was right on! Under $10 bucks for all this food. The ham was a little sparse but otherwise it had plenty of cheese. I would rate it about a 3 and half stars, just falling short. I would certainly stop again, besides it has a railroad theme, how bad could it be?

Well, I have been past this place way to many times than I care to admit. Not from the area but have been visiting for years. We even saw it on Alton Brown's show feasting on asphalt, much to our surprise. So this time we made sure to stop. WOW, I'm kicking myself for not doing it sooner. It may be small inside and unassuming on the outside but the food is awesome. Husband had the turkey dinner and it was fantastic. Everything is homemade! I just had a burger and the chili and yes the chili was homemade as well. Friendly server and knowledgeable when we asked about the area. So if your in the area stop in!!! Don't let the outside fool you. Oh and it most definitely won't break the bank.

Delicious fresh made food with breakfast specials! They've been here for many many years and it's a local favorite. Very quaint but it beats all other local options. Indian tacos on Tuesdays in a super authentic way. Highly recommend!

We got the chicken melt and the BLT! So delicious! Simple, but everything you wanted.

While there is technically plenty of parking, it was very busy on Friday night when I was swinging by to pick up my food. The restaurant is very simple, with a few booths for dining, which were mostly full, and there was a line of about 6 people waiting for takeout. It was exciting to see so much support for this space. The workers were fabulous: friendly and working diligently to maintain order and make sure everyone had what they needed! I ordered my basics, since it was my first time! Samosas, Garlic Naan, and Butter Chicken! The Samosas were crunchy on the outside, and filled with potatoes, peas, and spices! Perfectly dipped in the accompanying chutneys. Mint was bright and fresh, tamarind was sweet and tangy, just how I like it! Butter Chicken was quite a large serving, bursting with flavor and nuance, which is sometimes missing from takeout versions of this classic. Naan was a bit crisper than I usually like, but the perfect vehicle for the leftover butter chicken sauce. I'm already planning my next order! Check this place out for sure!

Our order was ready on time and packaged well. Even though we were just picking up, the staff were attentive and helpful, which I really appreciated. The space itself is also very nice. Clean, well kept, and has a welcoming atmosphere. We started with the veggie samosas and mixed pakoras, and both were amazing. Perfectly cooked with great flavor and really good sauces. For mains, we had the Chicken Makhani (butter chicken) and the Chicken Malabar, and both were so good. Super rich, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The portions were also very generous. The garlic naan was a standout. Fresh, soft, and perfect for dipping into the sauces. Overall, everything we ordered was delicious and really hit the spot. Great flavors, great portions, and a really easy takeout experience. Definitely a place I would return to for dine in or takeout.

We typically order naan, chicken tikka masala, and chicken makhani. We certainly have ordered some other dishes, however those are our main items. We ordered online. The process was simple and our bag was waiting for us as scheduled. Their naan bread was really good. A little thicker than other naan breads and seemed a bit smokier while still being a bit chewy. We tried the plain Naan and Garlic Naan. Really good Naan bread with the garlic being our favorite. Both the Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Makhani were very good. Flavorful sauces with big pieces of chicken. The next dish was a game changer. We thought we would try the Beef Josh. This might have been our favorite dish. The Beef Josh was savory and flavorful but it was the tender chunks of beef that really made that dish. We tried two new dishes to us. The Chicken Kathi Roll and the Chicken Tikka Dosa. The Chicken Kathi Roll was Chicken Tikka inside a big flour tortilla. This was good. The chicken was a bit spicier than the Chicken Tikka dish we ordered. Still pretty good. The Chicken Tikka Dosa was also a new experience. The dosa is a large crispy crepe which has a nutty flavor to it. This came with a Tikka sauce for dipping. A fun new and tasty experience. So far so good. We are looking forward to coming back again to try their Tandoori Chicken and Baigan-bharta and maybe some Samosa. Really great food!
