I used to LOVE this place (Would tell EVERYONE about it), but ever since a mega corporation took…read moreover it's been pathetic at best. Bathrooms - always dirty, bar - horrid service, okay food and no liquor. IDs required and that's fine but a retired military ID is legit (retired military IIDs are valid, fix your ID system!) my drivers license expires before my military ID and my military ID got denied..... Wtf people? Season passes - hit or miss if they work. 2 out of the 3 years we've bought our season passes early they haven't worked,, and we had to go to the office to "fix the issue" There's no issue except this company who can't get their process straight. John NEVER had this issue...and I've been coming here since 2011...... Food? Don't get me started on the cafeteria food they serve now... The prior owner, John Grisainger at least had GOOD food, quality food being served. Not this cut rate, previously frozen, cafeteria food that's now "available" here. This place is sad, and I doubt John thought this company would turn this place into what it is now. Who in their right mind thought downgrading everything but upping the costfor everything was a good idea..... Oh, I know.... A corporation that DOESN'T care about its customers, that's who.. Do better. You're capable of it.

Price really went up for saturday, like $40 more so i just sat by the fire pit while daughter used her season pass. The equipment rentals are pretty reasonable if you do not have your own The main lift is pretty speedy, the smaller lift to the shorter (not less steep, just shorter) hill was slower but less crowded and offered you an quicker escape if you needed it . I ended up walking halfway down the paradise run as i got a slight concussion trying to snowboard for the first time at 53. Very pretty, but getting encroached on by private villas. which loom over the slopes

Stayed Thanksgiving weekend 2021. Apparently new owners? First time here, so I wouldn't know a…read moredifference. When I arrived, there was self check in, but I could not for the life of me, find my cabin. They are not as well marked as they should be on the outside. I drove at least 3x around the property before going inside. The one person receptionist was on the phone and didn't address me for about 10 min as someone was complaining on the phone about a prior visit. I just really wanted to get to my room, so interjected and asked for a map. The room Itself was cute. Two stories, kitchen with items needed to enjoy your stay, cozy bed, wood burning fireplace, bath. The TV volume was stuck on one volume and so we could not use the TV. The walls are paper thin. We were playing cards at 10:30 pm one night with me and my 6 year old, no tv, nothing and pretty quiet and someone next to us started banging on the wall to be quiet. Another night, the people on the opposite wall had at least 6-7 people partying all night. I mean it is what it is. But don't expect quiet. These cabins are wall to wall and that was a huge turn off for me. Another night the same lady I presume that was banging on the wall the first night actually came to my door and told me she needed to wake up super early and could hear us talking. I was nice about it, but wtf I paid for a room and want to be able to do what I want Including talking. Not partying, having a ton of people over, blasting music, etc. Just talking! I don't know how the resort would fix this except insulation or sound machines in each bedroom. The outside area has a cute play area, some fire pits and a cute play room with some games my son enjoyed. The pool and spa was completely closed for "cleaning" which was a let down. We did eat at the restaurant twice and the same receptionist I saw at check in was our waitress. She ended up being very nice. The food was not horrible and there is not much around. On checkout, the room automatically locks right at 11am. I had been loading my car and had almost everything loaded. My son shut the door and we got locked out. I had my phone and car keys in the room. The front desk was not open so we had to walk around the property and found a cleaning person to let us in. Frustrating.

We reserved deluxe glamping but changed to the a tiny house once there. Our group was very glad there was a unit available given the colder weather. Kayla is a rockstar and is a great ambassador for the ranch. The ranch has something for all ages. Mini golf, climbing wall, pool, laundry facilities, restaurant (try the s'mores cookie...next level) and more. They partner with an excursion company that is in property which offers more services. If visiting Zion you will be accessing it through the east entrance. It's about a 45 minute drive to the visitor center if you aren't delayed getting through the tunnel. I would definitely stay there again!

The cabin we booked was the perfect size for my family of 3. The snow was melting when we booked so the hiking on one of the trails was a but muddy but I look forward to booking again here in the summer time. They offer camping grounds, glamping tents, cabins, and vacation rentals for larger groups! So there really is something for everyone. When you book they have concierge service that reaches out to you and helps with booking excursions and creating an itinerary which was so convenient. They also have access to some hiking trails right from the property. There are some goats that roam around the property as well and they were so cute!

The hotel looked more like a ski resort with cozy cabins and the views it had to offer from each room were just breathtaking, specially with the sound of the Virgin river running along the entire property added to the magic of this place. The rooms were very clean with every amenities one would need for a comfortable stay. The front desk staff were the warmest and friendliest I have recently encountered, catering to our every need as well as giving us useful advice on activities and places to eat and visit. Definitely will be back!

A true gem/"pearl." I have been reluctant to review the Desert Pearl Inn in the past out of…read moreselfishness; I did not want the secret to get out. However, the Desert Pearl is well-deserving of a positive review. I first discovered this place 26 years ago, and I estimate that I have stayed here 20 times over the years. Over 26 years, never once have I been disappointed. I have recommended this place countless times to my family and friends. For starters, the rooms have a rustic modern style with expansive balconies or patios that include Adirondack chairs for relaxing while taking in the views of the red mountains, which are right in front of you. When awaking in the morning, simply roll up the shades, and you can enjoy the sunrise on the mountains while in bed or while having a cup of coffee on the loveseat in the seating area. The kitchenette is a nice addition, especially on hiking days. You can make yourself a simple breakfast prior to your morning hike(s). On lazier days, the addition of the restaurant was a major upgrade within the past few years. One request for management: The coffeemakers could use an upgrade to full-sized models with additional coffee mugs also stocked. However, I will note the availability of a small drawer-type dishwasher that is also included in the kitchenette. Location: The DPI is conveniently located in Springdale with a shuttle stop right in front of the hotel. There are many restaurant, shopping, and art/photo galleries located easily within walking distance. The entrance to Zion National Park is just a short shuttle ride (1mile) to the visitor's center or short car ride to the entrance to the park. I appreciate management's ability to maintain the beauty of the rooms and grounds over the years. The pool and spa are always in great shape. Electric vehicle parking spots have also been added. One future upgrade request: I like the bathroom design with separate sink/closet area and separate shower/toilet area. The pocket sliding doors are also a nice space-saving feature. However, I would like to see a shower makeover to a larger, more modern walk-in design rather than a tub and shower curtain (I do appreciate the curved curtain rod to gain space.) design. Overall, I rate this 5-stars. The Desert Pearl is truly one of my favorite hotels of all time. I look forward to my next visit!
