This was actually our 1st time in a KOA and so happy we chose this one and this town! The town is a 1 traffic light town, small and down-home, the campground is just a few blocks from the downtown center and the entire campground was ready for tents, trailers, diesel pushers and even cabins that they rent. Pool and dog park were our 2 main choices for the stop, an awesome lake about 10 minutes outside of town for fishing, a great small town restaurant "Cowboy's Smokehouse" a couple of minutes away, antique shopping for those into that, just an overall perfect location in the heart of Americana! Sites are interesting in that they are "buddy sites" they door to door your campsite side to the next trailer, we loved it because we met the people next door much quicker that way. Also met everyone around us who were having a major cornhole tournament while we were there, they were fun, very open and great neighbors. I honestly was a little worried about the noise but that squad shut it down at 9pm and were quiet as a mouse, not that we really cared but their game was pretty intense for a while! Walked around and met a lot of the other people in the camp, a few full-timers and a few nightly space renters like us, really great ownership in a clean and nicely run camp.

There are outdoor chairs on a little patio with parking in front of the room. The bedroom shades did not block the light well, but I always travel with an eye mask. Easy town to walk around plus hiking, fishing, parks and drives nearby. They had a welcome packet with maps and sites to visit. The following day I had issues draining my tank and Henry came over and helped me troubleshoot the problem. Their RV park is very clean and nice. They have cool amenities like dog parks. Lots of trees recently planted so the park is only going to get nicer with time. Their community bathroom has big nice showers that are very convenient for bigger guys that fit a little tight in their RV shower. They also have laundry onsite with vending machines for laundry soap. Definitely recommend Henrie's!

Bryce Canyon national park has two campgrounds, North campground and Sunset campground…read more North campground is First come First served, whereas you can reserve your spot Sunset campground. After I saw both campgrounds, I recommend North campground. We reversed at Sunset but ended up getting a spot at North because it was close proximity to the rim, 1min! Also, close to the general store, which has firewoods, and camp gears and shower. Shower is $3 for 8mins. Last shower is at 4:30pm. Usually campgrounds shower is like warm but here shower gets hot! From Sunset, you have a little more walk and cross the road to go to the rim. And campgrounds were a little tighter than North. So we decided to dump $20 and get a site at North campground. Take the Loop D. It's the closest to the sunrise point. My kids and I went every morning to see the sunrise diuring our 3day-stay here. Just wake up and walk a min! In the Loop D, the best sites are 81 and 83, because their tent spots are very flat, and a little more secluded pluscloser to the rim. We stayed at 99. It's a little slant, but not a bad one. We liked it. Overall, Loop D has good camp sites. This is first come first served, so if you want a spot, it's better to come around or even before 11:30am whichj is checkout time. People even leave earlier like 9am so if you really want good spots, come early. We stayed on August 6, 7, 8, 9 (Thurs-Sun) and surprisingly, there was still empty spots during weekends. I'm glad that we came a little far To Bryce than Sequoia/Yosemite which is closer to our home in LA.

Staying in National Park campgrounds always seems like a hack to me - close to trails, affordable, and peaceful. Recommend Fairyland Loop for stunning views and fewer hikers, sunset point for sunrise (trust me) straight into the Queen's Garden to avoid crowds, and Bryce Point for sunset. Bathroom was clean, metal picnic tables. Quick drive to Sunrise/Sunset Points, I know the FCFS (first come first serve) tent only spots are closer, but I liked the certainty and peace of mind of a reserved spot.

It is a really easy drive from the east entrance of Zion and right off the highway in Hatch, Utah. Close to Bryce Canyon as well. We checked in late and had no issues. We stayed in the Lone Ranger room which is perfect for two. There is a bathroom, shower, table and chairs, full sized mattress, fridge, microwave and coffee pot. No tv which I didn't mind because the view from the little porch outside is lovely and there is a dark sky at night. I live in an area with light pollution and it was wonderful to see the stars at night. I prefer firmer beds and this was fit the bill and I slept wonderfully. There is a 7:30 am continental breakfast so that was a nice touch too. There is a fire pit and grill available for use. I am really happy staying here! I would definitely recommend it if visiting the nearby National Parks!

She was pleasant enough; but couldn't answer our question about weekly rates (as reflected on their website). Brochure only listed monthly rates and she thought that information was old and incorrect. The convenience clerk went out back to get a male coworker to deal with us. This guy was clearly perturbed that he was being bothered by the question. He did say we could have the weekly rate listed on the website; but his demeanor was a complete turnoff. Navajo Lake is a beautiful natural lake about 25 minutes from Cedar City, Utah. It's about 3 miles…read morelong when it is full. There is a dike that cuts off the shallow end of the lake when the water level is low. It's cold clean waters are fed from an underground spring. It used to be a great spot for fishing, but now it's just ok. Navajo is a great spot for kids, though. It is mostly hatchery fish with very little hold over fish. I have been catching a lot of chubs up there the past few years and that seems to slow the fishing down. There is a "hot spot" if you rent a boat. I don't need to tell you where it is, you will see all of the other boats there. It also has a bike trail that goes around the lake that seems to be pretty popular. Early morning and late night, a worm or power bait will do the trick.
