My husband and I had a pretty early flight back home and weren't quite ready for our vacation to end yet, so we stopped by Whisky River for a couple of pre-flight cocktails. The bartender wasn't friendly, per se, but he was pretty fast and efficient. He was working alone, taking breakfast orders and mixing drinks, and his performance was admirable, but I was not a fan of some of his time-saving tactics. I watched him stir drinks with the nozzle of the soda dispenser. You know, the "spray gun" used to top your drink off with soda water or Sprite? He dipped that into the drink and swirled, rather than just grabbing a stir stick or using a new, clean straw to do so. I ordered the Goin' Down South, which is made with Bulleit Bourbon, honey and lemonade. It was good. Tasted so nice that I ordered it twice! After that, I was nice and relaxed for the flight. We had eaten that morning before we left the hotel, but several of the menu offerings were tempting. Whisky Wings, Quesadillas, Burgers...everything sounded really good. This was a nice stop-over spot for us to relax after the chaos of check-in and TSA. We sat, enjoyed our drinks and some television, had time to visit the nearby restrooms and refill our water bottles at the "filling station". It was near our gate. Great location!

We had a delayed SW fight at FLL and decided to get something for dinner. Whisky River sounded appealing so we stopped in. We were seated right away and quickly approached by 2 different servers. They had an extensive beer and cocktail menu, (especially whiskies.). I ordered a Blue Moon and my husband just had a Diet Coke. The menu was full of appetizers, sandwiches, and burgers. We decided to share the Texas Tequila Bacon Cheese Burger with fries. It was $17.89, (a little pricey but that's to be expected at an airport.). It was actually quite big and very tasty. Both of us really liked it; plus the fries were good too. The service was fast and we were in and out in about 40 minutes. (We are fast eaters.). As airport restaurants and bars go; this place is definitely better than most. Good food and good service is always a plus when starting a vacation....,I would definitely recommend Whisky River if you have some time to kill in Terminal 1 of FLL.

On this trip the bartender asked if we wanted doubles because they were 50% off. Well, obviously. The food is ok, there are definitely worse places to eat and drink in the airport. We ordered chips and queso which were a good salty snack to go with the pre-flight doubles.

Amazing food and fast service. I actually reinstalled yelp to do this review as everything we tried here while waiting for southwest was outstanding. The brisket cheese sandwich incredibly think and perfect brisket. The quesadilla also was equally amazing with their custom recipe sour cream and guacamole. Wife had the buffalo chicken and it was fantastic too. Had to wait for table 5-10 is only thing as the hostess/waitress had a lot of tables she was juggling. Waiter was super friendly Rene

Grilled cheese brisket and fries. Sooo tasty!

My dinner was great!!!! The service was good too. There was no live music but the music playing was good.

Restaurant is located inside the airport by gate B. Very cool decor. I can't get over the wall of belt buckels. It's such a unique touch to the western theme. Love the use of wood and cowhide. They get three stars only because they don't serve drinks until 8:00am. My flight leaves at 6:50 so my hangover must wait a little longer. We didn't get food this time around. I only had cranberry juice. The staff was polite and fast to greet us. Over nice place to hang while we waited.

Mushroom Swiss Burger

While waiting for our flight to board we stopped at Whisky River for a quick bite. We ordered the chips & dips to share and I ordered the mushroom burger. The food was your standard burger and didn't come with any sauce. Without sauce I would say the bread was dry but once I added ketchup it helped the burger. Service: it took us a while to get seated but once we were service was quick and our server was friendly. Ambiance: I would say this was your standard airport restaurant. Loud next to a boarding gate but comfortable.

What we ordered: * Chips and dips * Beer - Sierra Nevada Hazy * Texas Tequila Bacon Cheddar Burger Service * Our was very quick and attentive. * Remembered our order * Was slow to get seated but understandable in an airport Ambience * Loud with noise from nearby gates * What you expect at an airport * Sound from bar and TVs Overall an ok experience. The chips and dip were maybe the highlight with the burger lacking a bit of moisture in the bread. The fries were very fresh and tasty.

Located in the Fort Lauderdale airport in concourse B, Whiskey River was convenient given our departure gate. Food: Worst burger I've had since the high school cafeteria. Paddy was dry, tasted like ground beef mixed with sawdust. Als, the paddy not fully warmed. Simply bad. Service: Sat at the bar and the bartender was fantastic Drinks: Good craft beer on tap Overall ambiance: Country-like theme in the airport

This is located on Fort Lauderdale airport. This place is getting 3 stars for the beer and service from bartender. 1 star for the food. Stay away from pulled pork and burgers. I saw a salad come out for another guest and it looked good which gave me high hopes for the burger, but alas no. Service: we sat at the bar because we had a tight connection. The host was nowhere to be found to seat us so we went straight to the bar. We ordered to go and the food was out in less than 5 minutes and the chef forgot but our bartender brought us to go containers but we had time so we quickly ate. Food: the pulled pork sandwich tasted like sloppy Joe's but it was way better than my husband burger where the patty looked like a hockey puck and the size of one too. The pickles on my pulled pork were very good and crunchy. The bun was good but too much bun to pork ratio and it needed to be toasted. 18% Gratuity is automatically added. Come here for the beer only, skip the food.

Went here while waiting on my flight. Glass of red wine was good and served quickly. Was really busy but was taking care of just as fast as everyone else.

WARNING they automatically add the 18% gratuity. So the wait staff sucks because they already know they are getting paid.

There were only about three other tables, so it was a relaxed vibe, and the service was quick, which we loved. The food overall was good. I ordered the lemon pepper wings. I'll be honest, they weren't my favorite. The seasoning could have been stronger or more flavorful. That said, their fries were good. We also ordered chicken tenders, and those were a hit. Super crispy and honestly some of the best tenders we've had. Everyone at the table enjoyed them. We tried their lemonade too, and if you like sweet drinks, this one is perfect for you. My cousins ordered another wing flavor that was sweet and spicy. I don't remember the exact name, but they were amazing and definitely better than the lemon pepper. Overall, solid food with some standout items, especially the tenders and sweet and spicy wings. I'd come back to try more flavors.

Parking was conveniently located right in front of the restaurant, making it an easy stop. As soon as we walked in, we were warmly greeted and invited to sit wherever we liked. We chose a table near the window and immediately appreciated the intimate and charming atmosphere. The restaurant also features a bar and televisions, creating a relaxed and welcoming vibe. Our waitress was pleasant, attentive, and made us feel right at home, which always enhances the dining experience. Although we weren't extremely hungry, the menu had so many appealing options that we decided to sample a few items. We started with the Caribbean Tea shots, which were unique, refreshing, and surprisingly enjoyable. For drinks, we ordered a Malbec and a Peanut Butter Old Fashioned. Our first entrée was the Churrasco Frites, featuring marinated skirt steak topped with chimichurri and served with twister fries. The steak was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful, but those fries were the true star of the dish. Still wanting more, we ordered the Garlic Parmesan Twice Cooked Wings. They were nicely prepared and satisfying, though I would have enjoyed a stronger garlic flavor. Not quite finished, we moved on to the Oaxaca Burger, an 8 ounce burger stacked with onion rings, bacon jam, house BBQ sauce, and Oaxaca cheese. This was one of the best burgers I've ever had, and possibly the best. The bun was toasted yet soft, the burger was seasoned perfectly, and it was cooked to a juicy medium temperature. Every bite was packed with flavor. Overall, everything we ordered was excellent, and the service and atmosphere made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning.
