Chopped brisket and bbq with fried okra and mac & cheese.

Tried a little bit of everything. Brisket was chopped and sauced. Good flavor but I prefer sliced. My coworkers plate had a piece of sliced which he said was good except for trying to cut it with a plastic butter knife. BBQ was seasoned well, didn't need any sauce imo. My coworker said the baked beans were good. Definitely would come back. Hopefully they get proper flatware and maybe table service.

We came during the BBQ FEST and OMG. The Brisket Plate with two sides is the best thing ever. They were very busy but we got our food so quick. I definitely recommend this place! My boyfriend got the pork plate with baked beans and I don't even eat beans but they were SO amazing I liked the way they seasoned everything. Please try this place if you can. Best thing ever. Okra is also very good. I love the sauce they serve it with. 10/10.

In the heart of Kinston NC, come visit this authentic butchery and lunch venue! We had a wonderful lunch of brisket, Brunswick stew and a grilled cheese. Service is friendly and fast. Owner is directly involved. The food is excellent. Come support this great local business!

This is a butcher shop and restaurant. We were welcomed by Kevin the chef and he helped us navigate the menu written on a large sheet of craft paper hanging the full length of the wall. He recommended the brisket, which had been cooking 16 hours. It was delicious and the sauce was spot on. Also shared entrees so we could sample more, tried the pulled pork on cornbread. Cornbread pretty much crunched apart and it had to be eaten with a fork. Loved the mustard that came with it. We didn't get the slaw that I thought came with it, but did get stir fried veggies as my side and LA had sweet potato fries. The restaurant is wide open, clean, modern and claims to be super nice to their farm animals before butchering them for us. My friend couldn't handle the sweet animal pictures hanging inside and went with children's grilled cheese and a side salad. What a deal for $3.50. The red velvet cake available only on Fridays and Saturdays wasn't very good--but I forced myself to eat all $5 worth of it.

This little gem is on a side street in downtown Kingston, NC. I had the Texas style brisket and it did not disappoint. Bark was great, good smoke ring and a layer of fat they somehow made kinda crispy. The collards are spicy and cooked with meat as well. Full okra pods flash fried and served with an amazing sriracha sauce were just as good. Side of coleslaw topped it off. I didn't have room but the homemade dessert looked phenomenal!

So delicious, so perfect!!! From the meat selection to the restaurant itself !!! My husband, his brother & I had such a wonderful experience at the Whiskey Pig! Friendly Staff & delicious deserts in the freezer!!! I seriously wish wish wish that the establishment was closer to New Bern or in Havelock right by the Cherry Point Base! Omg they'd be sold out and overrun with hungry happy customers for generations to come!

Again I went to purchase one of my favorite Items from the Wiskey pig , gosh I tell you this is definitely one meat place , from sweet southern tea to juicy pork tenderloins the savor of this place just melts in my mouth. Check them out !
