They have a nice happy hour (3-6pm) that serves a great old fashion and tasty flat bread. Staff was friendly and facilities were clean.

Drinks and appetizers good, multiple soups brought to table cold...at different intervals. You would think they would make an effort after first cold soup, ordered smash burger with well done fry's ... burger flavor was good though cold and half way thru had a hair in my mouth... after the soup ordeal was not saying anything. Choose to eat well done fry's only to find very limp and moist... need to learn how to double fry. Somewhere 1/2 way thru asked for water, it was like a revelation, but never refilled the obvious empty glasses. Overall we were there a few years ago and came back with out of towners and none of us would go running back. Way too loud inside , not even an effort to reduce sound in the design, not well planned. Ordered an appetizer which came out as the same time as our food which is completely unacceptable. They are called appetizers for a reason. I frequent many St Charles/Geneva bars/Restaurants the past 25 years, especially for lunch. My message to the owner is with all due respect. If you want to compete with the plethora of bars in area, you need a better bar manager. The young male bartending during day has Zero personality. Been there 3 times now, twice with friend who thought same. He barely says a word and after serving goes immediately to end of the bar by the servers. Way too many options with friendly staff in area. The drinks, food and ambience were fine. But really be a shame having people not come back because you don't feel Welcome. I wish u luck Ps. Love WB. Outstanding food. Love the menu. Great service. They were SLAMMED for the weekend grand opening. Social media was on fire about this new gem in St. Charles. Looks like people were definitely waiting for this place to open Love the history on how WB came to life. Hopefully people will be patient as they work out any kinks as are expected to happen. Super cool vibe. They didn't miss any details on the rebuild from top to bottom. You can plug in your computer or charge your phone at the bar. The outside patio is absolutely beautiful. When the weather gets better, it will be shoulder to shoulder, I'm sure. We will be back for sure. read more

Whiskey Bend sounds amazing right? I have only come once so far and it was a bit crowded. The atmosphere is good, a bit loud for some. It also has a good selection of whiskeys. I would likely give this 3.5 based on the one experience but will be back to try again. The food was a bit mixed bag. The poutine was amazing almost like a nacho cheese sauce vs. gravy but tasted awesome. The burger I had for dinner was just an average overprice burger I could get at 10 places in the tri-cities area and nothing at all unique. Great service, great food, great ice tea really nice atmosphere. It's a great place to hang out and watch the game with game specials and great happy hour prices, or nice place for a casual date night. Try the zucchini strings so good. Haven't been there since it was the old Pub 222. It was a crisp night so we dined inside, but the back patio is very nice with flamed tabletops. The crowd was all mixed ages, some folks there prior to the Arcada show across the street. The waiter was great...friendly and on it. My wife had a tap beer and I had some wine. We ordered some sandwiches....mine seemed really interesting...a braised short rib grilled cheese sandwich. I thought it would be a lot of cheese with some beef in it but it was a lot of beef (no complaint here). The potato salad was very good, having some bacon on top to make it unique. It's loud but you can have a conversation. They have multiple TVs so you can watch games. I liked it here because it isn't just your burger and fries bar. Came here twice twice to try and get a good feel for the place, first time sat at a table. Our waitress was brie and she was great, food we ordered was mostly good. But one dish was so salty it wad almost not edible. We had old fashioned cocktails that tasted well made. Biggest issue for us was the sound level, restaurant was maybe half full but the noise of people talking was so loud we had to yell at each other to try and make conversation, and ears rang after we left, another note is how uncomfortably hot it was, I understand its winter but seemed excessive. Refunded again and sat at the bar, had Britney and Josh serving us, they were really fun and knowledgeable. Had a burger that was really good, tried a few cocktails, also noticed the whiskey selection grew since the last time. Sadly same issue with sound and and temperature. Walked in to a roar of people talking overpowering the music and making it hard to hear the bartenders or each other. Whiskey drinking friends - Simply put, the selection here is weak AND they charge 3$ (per glass) for a neat pour of whiskey OR they charge 3$ for a rocks pour (per serving ). This is a per glass charge in addition to the cost of the pour. Either way, you pay 3$ more for a pour of bourbon / whiskey. I'll be supporting other local whiskey / bourbon focused bars in the fox valley. I don't mind paying for things but an establishment should be up front and honest and should refrain from sandbagging people for "ICE or NO ICE". This is bad form when you're trying to build a clientele in the local fox valley whiskey community. read more

I have been waiting for this to open for a long time and finally on Saturday I was able to go for lunch with my husband. Well I see why it took so long wow what a difference. We had the Risotto cakes and zucchini fries for some apps and my husband also had the WB Burger for an entree. All of the food was presented well and delicious. They also have this really neat deal where you take a shot of their special Whiskey, and are able to sign your name on a real hardwood plaque that hangs by the bar. Went on a family lunch date. The wait time for around 2pm on a Friday was fast. We were sat down quickly. The burger was good, a little on the dry end but still good. The blacken grouper fish sandwich was very good. Fish was juicy and tasteful. The drinks were great as well. Old fashion was decent. Drinks were priced accordingly. Food prices are on the the higher end. Only down side was the waitress we had. The place was an old dive bar and news owners rehabilitated the place. The atmosphere is very nice. New everything. Guess what! You will over pay to pay off the rehabilitation. You can get same everything down the street. You might save some dough going somewhere else. read more

First time going to Whiskey Bend and the service was great. Our server, Bre, was very kind and answered our many questions on the menu and drinks. The Whiskey Bend Burger was tasty and the fries were good. They hand-cut the fries and you can definitely tell. The interior of the restaurant was very clean and comfortable. The outside seating area looks very nice and we will for sure come back in the summer to seat there. Overall, the experience was great and we had zero complaints. First impressions are everything. That said, when we walked in, 2 bartenders (1 working (brunette), 1 not (blonde), both at the far end of the bar) saw us, looked at us, did nothing and left us to our own devices. Then another couple walked in a few minutes later and were immediately greeted and given menus (by the blonde). When the other bartender (brunette) eventually came over to us, she handed my girlfriend a menu out of the (full) drawer of menus, but felt it necessary to give me a menu with liquid on it that she picked up from another customer who just left. Gee, thanks. The only thing she asked me was if I'd like anything to drink, I said, "Give me a few minutes to look at the menu." She never said another word to me unless she was prompted to by my girlfriend. My GF was the only one she would look at or speak to. We didn't even make it to ordering dinner. Put a sour taste in my mouth, and needless to say, I'll never give them a second chance. You ruined it forever. read more
