    Petting a cat

We love this place! We are allergic to cats so we can't be around them for a long time. But we love them. We make our appointments online. It's $12 an hour per person. You get to play and lounge with many kitties that are adoptable. It's so cute inside the perfect spot for cats to run and play and get away if they need to. Such a great way to get these cats adopted. They have snack and beverage options.

This cafe is super nice, this is my first cat cafe ever! They don't have coffee but they have a keurig. The cats were super sweet and playful. Fun fact: cats love bracelets and hair ties. Everyone there was also nice. All cats are adoptable, if you can't take care of a cat but want a cat come here and play!

Kittens galore and I was in heaven! We were going to a play at the Kirkwood theater and had some time to waste and this was more than ideal, a place to sit and play with cats and kittens? Say no more! I was more than pleased with the spacious rooms for the humans and the cats alike to interact or find a place to nap and hide. They have adoptable babies who are looking for some attention and a fur-ever home, but as a go between this place is pretty great. If you have some extra time or you want a fun activity to share with people that isn't shopping- this is my new go-to! I wish I could take them all home with me!

We loved our time at the Whisker Station. It was so calm and peaceful. There were plenty of space and toys for the cats and for us. Many places for the cats to chill and hang out all along the walls and floors. There's a separate room for litter boxes. There's also a smaller, more quiet room to visit as well. The older cats were sleeping in there. The workers were so friendly and gave little intros of the cats as they walked by. They were also very willing to answer our questions. There's food and drinks available at the front as well.

This is the greatest cat cafe!! They sell super cute jewelry at the front too. There's packaged snacks and bottled drinks and there's lots of cats, what's not to like?! The cats are super young cats and pretty engaging/willing to play; they probably are more/less active depending on the time of day but we went around 5pm and they were excited about the cat toys. There weren't too many people there either so that was nice. We'll certainly be back.

Staff were so sweet. I am a hot mess and showed up an hour late. They did not have to move my appointment time to the next slot, but they did. I appreciate them being flexible and understanding. The place was cozy, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. I could have easily spent all day there; I was so relaxed.

We tried one other that seemed ok but you know when sometimes something just feels off? So I asked & our vet recommended Silver Maple instead...best thing ever. My first glimpse of how genuinely they care for our dogs was how nicely he goes in (tail is still down but he readily goes in after being greeted like Norm from Cheers). One time he got sick just before our Xmas vacation. He had only been on his meds for 2days before I had to drop him off but they have their system down to a science. It's simple but it's one they are clear on so there are no mistakes. Pam even called me to tell me she found throw up in his crate but wondered if giving him his meds with food would be less caustic & help him feel better...thoughtful & considerate problem solver & diplomatically explained! During that same boarding we were snowed in on the mountains in CO & couldn't get back on time. Not only did Pam accommodate but she also made sure he had enough of his meds. She genuinely loves animals & will go to bat for them. Communication & planning is key. If you'll be traveling over the holidays, book early. Always pack extra food & Rx in case it gets dropped or don't pack enough food. They took a Chewy delivery of food bc I stupidly didn't count out the correct numbers of cans. Cost-wise, we have found it to be very much worthwhile bc we absolutely know he's in good hands. To Pam, Mallory, Amanda, Lindsey & all the others I've not had the pleasure of meeting, you make Silver Maple a success & I thank you for taking such loving care of our Dexter.

When I pulled up to the farm you didn't hear any barking. When I walked in to the office there wasn't an aroma of urine or bleach. They took me back to the kennels and there were blankets and beds in them and the dogs were calm and again no smell. I was homing a senior dog that was an owner surrender and Pam jumped right in and found a wonderful home for him. Don't hesitate to board your furry family members here. They will be loved and cared for!

I regularly donate clean old towels and blankets to the APA. Their staff are all competent and friendly and they all love animals! I've always been impressed with their veterinarians. I know that we adopted other pets over the years from the APA, and my family of origin did, too, when I was a kid. I'm so happy to have a wonderful organization close by to help families find wonderful pets like Oliver to add love and joy to each family!

That said, our interaction with Lance was surprisingly rude and dismissive. When we told him we'd been calling her "Mama," he rolled his eyes and said, "We have so many Mamas," like it was an inconvenience. When my friend offered to foster, he brushed her off, saying the dog would "probably get adopted quickly anyway" and that she could "maybe go on the website." He also made the whole intake process uncomfortable. I was sitting with the dog in my lap when he sat at a desk far away, asked for my ID (which my friend had to bring to him), and then slapped it back on the counter without a word. The entire time he was typing things in, he didn't explain what he was doing, what the next steps were, or even why he needed my info. I'm thankful they took the dog in, but the lack of kindness or communication really soured the experience. It shouldn't feel like a burden to bring in an animal who needs help.
