First off, this is the same course that is often called "The Heights" or "Hubbard Heights" by people in the area, previous name I suppose. This course offers free green's fees to active duty military, as well as occasionally comp'ing the cart fee as well, which is completely awesome of them. The staff here overall is very friendly and helpful and I've never had a bad experience with any of them. They make every effort to make sure you enjoy your day. Next, on to the course itself. Not the best maintained course in the world, greens can be kinda iffy and the teeboxes are often a bit messed up. However, the course is really well designed and is really picturesque and naturey. We see deer and other critters here while playing all the time. Also, this course is one of my favorites to play, I love the variety of holes here and the flow is really nice. My personal favorite is the par 3 hole 3. Can't wait to head back now that the weather is starting to warm up.

Place looks the same after all these years and it's a bit scary at night if you look across the road and wonder what's lurking in the woods .A food stand that actually has good food so I can stuff my face while hitting golf balls and while we are here a little batting practice and finishing up with some fun miniature golf before we hit the road . I have walked and carted around many a course in the states, Ireland and in Thailand too. The greens are as lush as the best courses in Ireland and more so a deeper green. My friend was previously the grounds director here a while ago. He was passionate about golf turf, even had the degree to show it, who knew, there was such a degree. I only learned about such a degree after meeting my friend years earlier. This course had an intensely passionate director, getting down into the greens to look at every grass blade during my tour of the course during the summer. You can tell this course is in the upper echelon of courses in the states and it shows.

Great public course with reasonable cart and greens fees. Course is well groomed and greens are in…read moregreat shape for the number of rounds played on this course. Nicely laid out with some very challenging holes. During summer months one needs to secure tee times well in advance as all tee times are taken. The course also has a driving range. Range balls are also fairly priced at $8.00 for a small (50) balls and $16.00 for a large (100) balls. The driving range matts are quite warm but pro shop where balls are sold told me they were being replaced in the 2024 season. Brand new golf carts have replaced the old ones only negative is these carts are gas powered which can result in jerky stops and starts. But this facility does not have a cart barn which prevents electrical access. Hopefully in the future the town of Greenwich will erect a cart barn with electrical chargers for electric carts. Pro shop carries the popular brands of shirts, golfing apparel and shoes. The personnel in the shop are knowledgeable and very helpful. The manager, Ashley, has great personality and is a pleasure to deal. Everyone in the shop is friendly and courteous to all patrons. Lessons are available from PGA professionals. For a public course I highly recommend the "Griff"
