Cover Girls concert was awesome! Not necessarily the concert but the great time at the venue. Not that the concert wasn't good, it just took far too long to get started. We were there at 7:00 pm and they didn't start playing until 11:00 pm! That was far too long, some people in my group didn't even see them because they had to work the next day and were forced to leave by 10:00 pm. However, the venue was outstanding, for 50 dollars they served a beautiful and delicious buffet of food and apps that was outstanding. Absolutely delicious and served hot and fresh. They kept refilling the food until everyone ate. They served Chicken Marsala, sausage and peppers, egg plant rollitini, salad, baked potatoes, and the app station was packed with delicious charcuterie and cheese. The drinks were great and at only 6 dollars each they don't break the bank. The DJ was really good playing some great dance music and the staff were friendly and professional. I would definitely go back to this place again. read more

Went here for a 60th bday party that was held in the bar area downstairs. Upon walking in I noticed the place kinda smelt like cat litter.. Interesting. Finding the bar space downstairs is a bit tricky as there are multiple twists and turns, and many areas within this venue. They could use some better signage fo sho. Anyway the party was very nice and the food was good (typical banquet salad, penne, chicken francaise, stuffed filet of sole, rice, vegetables etc.) We even had unlimited use of the itunes machine which was a huge plus! My two issues with the place were the fact that the beer taps and kegs were not hooked up meanwhile they knew this party was going on for over a month. They ony had a small selection of beers and at $6 a bottle it was kinda wack. I don't think I've ever paid more than $4.50 for a mich ultra. Secondly, the hosts of the party were not allowed to take the leftovers home due to 'health code restrictions.' Now... i think that's completely bogus considering I can take home my leftovers at any restaurant I've gone to, and not to mention all the banquet/events my family has had at restaurants and we always get the food packed up for us, without even asking. I hate waste so that was really frustrating to find out... I only hope the staff was able to eat the untouched leftovers and they didn't go in the trash. This was our first time at an outdoor concert and bbq and I called a few hours before the event because I was concerned about being outdoors during the predicted thunderstorm. I was told that it would be moved inside, but that never happened. We were there for an Eagles tribute. The band was great, but soon after the first set, the weather turned, and the band decided it was unsafe to play in a lightning storm or ruin their equipment. We agreed, however, there was plenty of warning about this storm, and they still had it outdoors because some of the members preferred it to be outside. I was really surprised. I expected so much more based on the positive reviews for this place. Perhaps the regular experience is better, but this review is specific for their Easter Brunch. The service was good, 4 stars. All waitstaff and hosts were very nice and responsive. The food was 3 stars at best. My husband visited the carving station and the beef was too raw for him. It wasn't prime rib, it was too raw. I saw a number of people who didn't care for it. I went to the omelette station and though mine was the only omelette being cooked, it was still overdone and with the wrong cheese. The fruit was good but there wasn't enough of it and the tomatoes in the salad I had were not ripe. No seafood, bagels but no lox, crappy sweets and the breakfast potatoes were terrible. They had mimosas and Bloody Marys and both tasted virgin. The Bloody Mary just tasted like cocktail sauce. Cleanliness is a 1 star. Every glass at our table was dirty. I don't mean just a spot here and there, I mean food fragments. I got a mimosa that had copper colored lipstick on the glass. It was so gross and unpleasant, it just ruined everything. My husband was picking out a drink and told the woman working there that four of the glasses he'd looked at were dirty. She offered to get him a clean one but made no effort to fix the overall problem. The price advertised for this buffet was $35/person but they added in tax and tip themselves for $44/person. I heard about this deal over the summer but never seemed to have the time until last night. A friend's band was playing so there was an added incentive to go. The food was pretty good, especially the ribs. The burgers were slightly dried out. I guess this is to be expected at a buffet for 100+ people. Not a huge variety of stuff, but if you're a meat eater, there's burgers, hot dogs, steak, ribs, sausage & peppers and a couple of pasta dishes and some sides. Yes, it's really $15 for all you can eat. The catch is that all drinks come from the cash bar, including club soda and other soft drinks at $2 for a small (8 oz maybe) cup. I heard the beers were $6, probably a fair price. Don't know how much the mixed drinks are. Point is, you can easily drop another $25 or so at the bar. So all in all, we had a good time eating, socializing and dancing. BTW, the venue has been renovated and looks pretty good. read more

A great public course, that's not too far from NYC. They have special pricing in the fall so you're willing to put up with the weather, you can get some fantastic deals! Reserve your tee-time early as being that it's one of the nicer courses, slots fill quickly. Happy golfing! read more

Brunch was awful. After paying a high price for Easter 2018 brunch including a 20% tip (mandatory, paid up-front) the food was lousy and the wait service just awful. Beef and turkey were carved but not a single piece of fish - not even lox for the bagels. The guys doing the omelets and pasta station were clearly untrained. They allowed guests into the dining room before the tables had been cleared and set from the previous sitting. Forget about asking for water, soda or coffee - it's not coming. And for some reason everyone in our 8-person party left there feeling a bit unwell, in weird ways. Overpriced, understaffed and terrible quality food. Go elsewhere for your brunch. read more

Though not a golfer I often frequent this place for the BBQ and the live cover bands. For the price you can't go wrong. For $30, Where else can you sit, eat at a buffet for free and watch a quality live performance. Last week had at least 500 people visit to watch a band called the Nerds. They were very entertaining and have a good following. The open air atmosphere, the crowds and the music is more than can be expected. A great night out for all. FYI, bring a lawn chair. It gets packed so come early for lower seating. I prefer sitting on the upper lawn. It has a better view and is closer to the bar. read more

Where do I begin!? We had our traditional Albanian morning wedding ceremony on June 30th, 2013. Albanians usually have all their celebrations in the same restaurants all the time (Eastwood Manor, Maestros, etc in the Bronx) but we wanted to try something different. We were very wary as the other places mentioned are extremely accustomed to the Albanian culture and their ways of dining. All I have to say is Iliana, our Maitre D, was amazing! Before the wedding, we met with her a few times and she assured us that everything will go perfectly and exactly how we want it. We were still a bit nervous but when the day arrived, all our fears were put to rest! The place looked beautiful, the tables were set perfectly, the food was amazing and the service was outstanding. It has been one month since the wedding and I still have people raving about the place and how they cannot wait to have their next celebration there. We had roughly 150 people attending., which is a large amount! Tto have that great of service for that many people at the golf club was truly amazing. I want to thank them for making my big day even more special and all the more memorable. Looking at the professional pictures I received this week, it makes me very happy that we chose Putnam National for our event. I live down the block from the Putnam National Golf Club and had guests from mostly southern Westchester. It made me very proud to have my wedding at a great place in my hometown. Recently attended an event at this facility. I was hoping for a lot more. The atmosphere was blah. The food was horrible. Everything was cold and blah. The pasta was just weird, it had some al dente and some mush. The shrimp was obviously frozen just prior to being cooked and tasted like something you'd eat at Chilis. Again, not sure why they can't time it correctly so everything isn't cold. read more

Recently attended a party at the Putnam Golf Club and had a horrible experience. There was no air condition and it was 100 degrees outside that day. The bathroom was like walking into a sauna. All the guest were sweating and could not even get up to dance and enjoy the music. A few guest actually had to leave not being able to take the heat. All the soda was completely flat and it was so hot that the chocolate favors were melting. The staff did not even try to accommodate any of the guest which was absolutely unbelievable. I would never have a party or even attend another party or event at this venue. Don't waste your money this place is a guaranteed bad time. read more

I have attended many events at Putnam Golf Course. They have improved over the years that i have gone there (about 5 years). Service is good, food is good, atmosphere is good too. This is a fantastic place to have an event, price is right/better then most and quality for the $ ---Perfect. read more

Five stars for golf - three for food and entertainment. Putnam County is a very good public course. While it is not up to the standards of many private clubs, neither is the price of admission. The course is challenging and well laid out yet is accessible enough for the high handicapper. Maintenance was an issue in the past, but the new management has stepped it up to the next level. A lot of money has been spent on course improvements. The staff is friendly and accommodating and go out of their way to make you feel like you are a member instead of a customer. Friday nights they offer BBQ and music. Food is pretty good and the music ranges from fair (most nights) to amazing (Eaglemania). Avoid the clambake like the plague because they do not have their $h!t together when it comes to serving more than 150 people. I have waited 30 minutes on a food line while they allow patrons to load plates to overflowing with shrimp only to get to the buffet to find the tins empty. Came away with a $30.00 cheeseburger. The self-service food tongs and uncovered tins were disgusting by that point. Catered events and special brunches are also three stars - food and service mediocre and a bit pricy for what you get. read more

I just had my daughter's bridal shower on Sunday. My daughter loves brunch and thats why I went there. Not only did we have brunch, we also had food from every other food group. There was something for everyone! The presentation was beautiful and the food was delicious! Everything was perfect, I could not have asked for anything more.
