Jason and his team did a beautiful job of designing my new logo and helping me with the advertisement. I just started a small business where I work for myself. This feeling of genuine care for his clients has made me feel a bit more at ease during this stressful process. I would absolutely recommend VocoDesign for anyone else. I will continue to use them in the future for all my marketing needs. Thanks Jason

I have not seen any changes to my web site at all. Since then, I have not been able to get a commitment from Jason or his team. Jason has sent me messages saying he was out of town, medical emergencies, etc which I can totally understand and was willing to wait for him. I had called his office and Tom had responded to look into it, but I have now been ignored by Tom as well. As of 2/1/2024 (one year later!!), I have sent an email to Jason and Tom to just close the project. They can refund me some portion of my 100% paid job, but they have not responded. I have changed the password to my web hosting as a precaution. I am willing to call this a loss and mark it as a lesson learned working with design companies. Maybe my company was too small for them, but seems my money was good enough for them

These folks have the worst business practices I've seen. In fact, I wonder how they stay in…read morebusiness. The worst parts were their tardiness in communication (they take weeks to respond to email inquiries), their consistent billing errors; and the quality they delivered was totally sub-par. Do not spend your money here. Initially they were recommended by my designer who's worked with them before (but no longer does, after my experience with them). We had a business card order that needed to be ready by a certain date; I needed the cards for a conference. We had asked well ahead of time when they need the final design in order to have the cards shipped to me on time. They needed about a 4 or 5-day lead time. We submitted by the deadline, and I got the cards on time. That was the only thing that went right here. The quality of the cards delivered was well below par and no better than what I could have done in an hour or so with a Kinko's color printer for less. Their initial quote was $98. The overnight shipping (from Oakland to San Francisco) they charged me for $40 which I didn't authorize, and I had communicated to my designer (although I don't know if that reached Golden Gate Litho) that I would have picked them up myself. Initially they agreed with us that the quality was unacceptable, but they offered no apology or explanation. They did offer to reprint a similar order for free, or one with a more high quality print technology for a discounted price. We didn't move on this for about 2 months, pending some redesign of the card. All of a sudden they demanded payment, for a higher price than originally quoted, and the offer they extended to us for a free reprint had evaporated. I told them I wanted a free reprint and would order a bigger order with them, but if they insisted on payment that I'd go elsewhere. Eventually they agreed to a 50% discount, but the numbers never worked out. My inquiries and requests for a detailed accounting based on the initial quote were never replied to, and I only got emails like "amount such-and-such is unpaid and this needs to be resolved." No way to run a business. I've been very happy with www.greenerprinter.com that we eventually used. Not only were they cheaper, they turned around quickly, quality was good, they're environmentally friendly in the products they use, and I never needed to get involved.

I run a local business called Auto Glass Express and started using this print shop based on…read morerecommendations I got from other local business owners in my networking group. I had previously only ordered from online companies, thinking that I would get the best deal if I ordered online. The first job I did with them was a reprint of our carbonless invoices, which they quoted at a significantly lower rate than what I had ordered online. Little did I know that the quote actually included a complete redesign of our invoice (with my permission), which I had previously designed in Word and saved as PDF. They took the invoice I sent them and made it much more professional looking, while still maintaining our "look" and logo. They delivered for free, and really spent far more time with me overall than I thought profitable for a relatively small job. Service on subsequent jobs has been the same. When I went to them for a quote on what it would cost to get a wrap on our new work van, Scott at Golden Gate made some really useful suggestions, including the idea to add a "QR code" to the vehicle, our print media, etc. This is relatively new technology in the US, but it seems smart to get out ahead of a marketing tool that is already widespread in Europe and Japan. I realized that I'm getting a lot more than a printing service out of these guys. I don't know what most people go to a print shop for, but if you're coming to them as a business owner, they have a much more comprehensive package of offerings than any other print shop I've dealt with before. To sum it up: they're local, they've got good rates, they're union, they're green, and all the people I've dealt with (Scott, Don, Amy) have been great. I highly recommend them!

In the sleepy little part of Scott Blvd and Space Park (that's actually the street name!) lies this dormant giant of a sign shop. My company is a small tech company in Silicon Valley with a large order that needed to be done in less than 9 days for a large Microsoft trade show. We're running with the big dogs at the show so we needed something of high quality and fast. I randomly came across this business and I will swear by them from here on out! I spoke with Michael and he was very helpful, communicative and professional. He always picked up the phone when I called and answered my questions in a timely fashion (meaning same day). Also, he answers all email inquiries very quickly. This guy means some serious business so that was already a plus in my book. I had an order of two 9ft x 3ft printed vinyl stand-up banner and four 10ft feather logo banners. - Initially, I only ordered 1 of the stand-up banner and added the second one a few days later. Michael called me to let me know that those particular banners sold out and that he'll have to get me something else. I was bummed but understood since I did let the guy know almost 3 days after the initial order was placed. It was not his fault, it was ours for adding onto the order so late. Get this: he calls me back 2 hours later and tells me he was able to work some stuff out with another customer and was able to get me two of the stand up banners like I wanted to order. Only one thought comes to my mind: TOP-NOTCH, AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE! I picked up my order today thinking they were just going to be in boxes. Not even close, they were out and on display for my final approval when I arrived. This place is ridic! They spent the extra time to place everything out and assembled for me to see. Michael and his team member even took the time to show me how to assemble and disassemble my products properly so I wouldn't struggle when I get to the show. I'm not even done: they even packaged everything up in the original boxes so I can just take them to the store to ship them out right then and there. - As if it couldn't get any better, it does: their prices are very competitive and extremely reasonable. I possibly saved my company thousands of dollars just by doing my business with these folks and being able to pick it up in person with no additional cost was very convenient. In times when no one cares about customer service, it's rare to find such fantastic service. You will probably not find a better sign company in the area and if you do, they not going to serve you a hot plate of #1 customer satisfaction with a side of fast turnaround times!
